Im sorry

I should have been there for you

The way you always were for me

The way others are

And always seem to show in the exact right moment

To fix everything

Or at least explain

But im sorry

Ive been gone

I can say ive tried

Been thinking of you

But it doesn’t matter

Not now

It always seems

When one thread shows

They all unwravel

Leaving that one thread behind

And it seems in my absence

That the entire fabric

Everything I was

Is gone

And everyone ive known

Don’t[t need me anymore

I cant help but to wonder

If I had been there

Would I have helped

Or made things worse

I guess sometimes

Whenever I feel small again

And lost to the world

I can remember that it changes so fast

Without me

When everything seemed so solid

When I had a grasp of it

I didn’t mean to let go

Didn’t mean to slip

But it seems im not the only one

None of us are

Not quite broken but i'd still like to be fixed

~Me

I see what you were saying, i wanna add the bouncy smileys and all, but theres nothing to bounce about. I can read into this poem 2 ways; one in which i can only assume is something i dunno (great at assuming arent i? lol) or that this is about being away for so long....just takes time and stuffs :)

I know what its like to die
to cry, to try
i've felt how we fade
tempted to fall, tempted as are we all
ive seen how it ends
when the show is over
its all echos
its broken hearts on broken glass
that fall and sting as tears
bruised, broken, helpless,
saved yet dying
i know that its like
to know that every breath i take
kills me
saves me
is one less that i have left
every moment my last
all the time passed
is past
i know what its like to die
and not know why
im still alive
or how i survive
or if anything is real
i died and survived
they say i have to move on
live my life
but they dont know
it isnt mine
it was hers
every breath stolen
who was the girl
with the journals, poetry, and love
and does she know
that im living her life?
i know what its like to die
to cry, to try
to kill
shes gone.

That ws so...it was insightful, but still very sad, which i apreciate, given the situation, but woah...i can tell you really needed to write this, and im glad you did.

:sleepy
Im alive
Even when it feels like my heart is breaking
Burning and my mind is falling apart
Hearing the voice echo
Tasting my own mortality
Flashes of slow drugged and stolen time
I melt everyday
And go into the dark places
Where I am not real
Where I am not fine
In these moments
I am broken
Shaking, weak, and terrified
Leaving me gasping
Struggling to hold onto
Any part of me that is left
It enfolds me hot and thick
Squeezing, choking, killing me
And I want to die
To join the rest of me
The part I lost
But I’m alive
And I’m over
Gone.

Lost
Ocean tides call
Sea washes my shore
Losing grip on quickened sand
Laying waste to salty air
Covering shivers with cracked kisses
Lingering echoes
Of a passionate embrace
Pulling down
Enveloping shadows
Letting go
Washing away with every wave
Living with every breath
Sun kissed with sandy blessings
Ocean tides whisper my name

The earth is crying for me
With me
Torrential rain
Ripples
Every drop
Pushes the world away
Distorting my view
Into watercolor melancholy
Melting tree to earth
And rock to sand
Like the many pebbles
Now attractive in their
Many colored splendor
As rivulets wash them over
Am I too
Only truly wanted
When it rains inside my heart

I really liked that last poem. :bow

Especially this part:

Quote:

What a lovely visual you've painted (no pun intended) :-D

Feel like I’ve cried
The tears are there
Still wet
Drying into
Tell tale salty scars
The pain is there
Ebbing and flowing
Wearing down inside
And scratching long gashes
Not easily healed
Yet no tears
Have fled
These lonely eyes tonight
It is the memory
The ghostly dreams
Of all the tears before

Loss
I think
I could be truly happy
if I never
saw your face again
never thought of
the good times
or remembered
what it felt like
to be understood
by you
every time we touch
I love you
and every time I miss you
I love you
but I would rather
never see you again
than have to say goodbye
every time we part

Whispers
Don't love me just because you can
love for me who I am
don't tempt me to sway
when your world won't stop spinning
or tease me gently
when everyone stops to stare
when nothing makes sense
I can feel you breathing
thats all it takes
to send me over the edge
the sensual caress
that lingers far to long
you feed me inspiration
beautiful endangerment
of a connection simply twisted
and a longing
too deep to touch
the familiar gaze sends shivers
and I hide with feelings
so simply complex
that I reflect in daydreams needing to be closer
to a truth that lies with every whisper

Broken Silence
Through all these years
I've loved you
through all these days
I've missed you
I've held your memory
close
A ghostly embrace
through all these hours
I've waited
and all these seconds
I've counted
I can finally and truly say
My heart has always
and will always
belong in yours.

Confetti Cupcake
My heart is confetti
falling as tears
remembering the rain
and the pain inside
it washes me over
a sickness
a need to be defined
the random emotion
of being lost in the tide
and as surely as it rises
it falls from my again
all that's left
hasn't washed away
and all that's gone
was a dream anyway

Two Together
And I can't let go
of the way it felt
the way you make me feel
the warmth
of your body next to mine
the way you always smell so good
the way you kiss me
sends shivers down my spine
the way you kiss me
then there is only you
nothing else matters
I can still remember what it felt like
to be surrounded by you
the memories, the feelings
still haunt me
but its distant now
as a clear day before snow
skewed as reflections are
and there are days
where its slipping and fading away
and I wonder
how much longer I can hold on.

Tides
Solitary sky
city lights flicker
as stars weave in and out
of clouds that whisper
only to you and I
oh the night is calling
pulling us apart
and crashing us together
with everything we are
and everything we were
yet voices fade
and the memory of you
merely tickles in the wind
cooling my reverie
you're gone
leaving the night empty
and me alone.

All the World is Gray
Words as sweet music
flow from me tonight
captured memories
resonating from within
caught from the
entrancing kiss
of knowing hands
gently caressing
an ivory dream
as sweet sound
surrounds us all
and into the silence
brings release.

Dreams of Trees
Oh, the dreary day
as from the window curtains peak
just as fallen branches lie
in the snowy earthen blankets
the sky reflects
this cold winter's morning
in the arms of an elm
lay the captured dreams
of children as they slumber
and dreams
as they will
do fall
atop the snowy flakes
to touch the earth once more.

Skin
I miss you
like water over waves
breeze in the wind
whisper in the crowd
as something
barely there
and always with me
the light touch
as a stranger passes
their smile

Grass
Sun kissed and love missed
breath deep
breath slowly love
hold onto this moment
make it your own
a part of us
capture sight sound, smell, touch
the memory of how we felt
of sun kisses
fragrant perfumes
and he bed of grass
where we lie
take it in
give yourself to the beauty around us
to me
and we lie here as one
the earth and you with me.

July
To love a memory
is to love a ghost
and the uncertainty, that it was ever
really there
ever really
yours at all
but for the haunting
the love
it knows.

Seasons Changing
Whispers
dance as though falling
fragrant leaves that
swirl and delight
the senses
Whispers
soft and sweet lay gently
in the wake of my every step
every graceful landing: I love you
every wind note: your name
Whispers
that speak my every desire
and fade
like sweet slumbering dreams
as a leaf
consumed by lapping waves.
and they're all you
but you're never there
not with them
you're just under my skin.

Alone
Whispers of a song
tiny echoes of despair
lost amid the churning sea of anguish,
of sorrow,
and the raw sheer madness
of impuissance
fueled by pain, hopelessness,
and waiting
stuck between
the unknown
and a life worth living.

Without direction
Tearing, stripping down
and ripping apart inside
the stinging of despair
of anguish
and loss
panicked loneliness
the fear of death itself
of simply ending
and the wreckage
of emptiness
left in stead
waiting breathless
until the room stops spinning,
the sick feeling subsides,
and the hollow memories fade
for now
a deep sorrow
salty tears stain wearisome cheeks
minds wandering lost
and we wonder
where will we go
without a compass.

The heart must answer
what the mind
cannot conceive
and what
the soul cannot dream
both the
beautiful nonsense
and the naked emotion
will duel
and resolve
in time.
