Chapter 18
Two weeks later, Willow and Tara were both settled in college. Willow and her roommate, Buffy. And Tara with her roommate, Jan. The two girls hadn’t seen each other too often since being at Sunnydale, both trying to get settled on their own, even though both wished to get settled with the other.
The two girls had had two totally different moving in experiences. Willow, on one hand, who was used to a quiet house, got a kick in the face the first night in a dorm room. There was no silence all night, and she didn’t find Buffy until two. She was in a panic, as most Freshman are.
Then, there was Tara. She had had a relaxing first day, seeing the campus, finding new things to do. She grew up with two older siblings, so odds are, she knew the loudness all too well.
Willow had classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday’s. Which of course, clashed with Tara’s Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday classes, but the two girls made the most time for the other.
Since the first two weeks of classes were over, and a routine was starting to form, the girls found themselves together more and more.
“I missed you!” Willow said, jumping onto Tara after her Tuesday class.
“I saw you like and hour ago.” She whispered, holding onto Willow tightly.
“Doesn’t matter.” The redhead said, nuzzling her face into Tara’s shoulder.
“Dinner?” Tara asked.
Willow shrugged her shoulders and made a face. “Movie?”
“Theatre or room?” Tara asked.
“Room?” Willow asked, gleam in her eye.
“Food?” Tara asked, nonchalantly.
“Pizza?”
“Now?”
“On one condition.” Tara sighed, looking straight into Willow’s eyes. “I get the left side.”
“Phew.” Willow sighed, “I thought you were gunna request the movie.”
Tara paused… “Two conditions…”

Willow and Tara sat in Tara’s dorm, her roommate M.I.A. for the third time that week. Tara hardly ever knew where she was, but oddly, never was really concerned. She always came back in one piece… she never thought much of a need to worry. Even though the two hadn’t seen a lot of each other, in the time they did, they got along. They told stories and secrets, it was like having a sister. Tara loved it.
The two were talking about how close Tara and her roommate had gotten and Willow felt like teasing Tara little bit.
“I don’t know Tar, she’s a pretty girl.” Willow said, simply.
“Not my type.” Tara said, taking a bite of pizza and staring at the TV.
“Shut up. You’re boink her in a second.” Willow joked, laughing.
“Yep. You caught me. Gotta love the slutty, skinny, blonde girls that eat your cookies and drink your milk.” Tara teased, sarcastically.
“Hey! My best friend just happens to be a slutty, skinny blonde gi--…” She paused. “Wait a second…you just described Buffy in every way, shape and form.”
“If you can make fun of my roommate, your’s is open terrain.” Tara laughed.
“I’m not making fun of your roommate. I think she’s nice… Or the way she says, ‘Hey, can I borrow ten bucks.’ Is nice. All I’m saying is that I don’t wanna come over one day with a huge thing of roses and chocolates and have to be like. ‘Hi Tara, that’s not your knee.’” Willow laughed.
“And I can guarantee you that that will not happen.” Tara sighed, and she put down her plate and cuddled up closer to Willow. “I’m perfectly comfortable right here.”
“So, there wont be any other knee?” Willow asked.
“Only yours.” Tara sighed as she turned her head up to Willow’s and gave her a chaste kiss. Then the blonde cuddled back into Willow’s arms, falling over and over in love with her. “Forever.” She whispered, almost silently.
