Chapter 8The weekend passed by much too quickly and soon Monday had arrived. The two brand new couples were all cuddled up by Willow's locker as she had just gotten her books out for her morning classes.
"Argh, this is so unfair." Willow whined.
"What is sweetie?" Tara asked as she hugged her girl a little closer.
"I don't wanna be in school today." the redhead said.
Three shocked faces stared back at her.
"You, Willow Rosenberg, Miss "I live for school", doesn't want to be here?" Buffy asked shocked.
Willow grinned up at Tara and then answered. "Nope, would much rather be back in bed."
Tara blushed and Faith and Buffy laughed at how cute the redhead was being.
The four girls stood there laughing until they heard the first bell. They started to walk down the hallway toward their classes when Tara stopped suddenly.
"Hey Faith look!" Tara said excitedly.
Faith looked at the poster that hung on the wall. "Oh no you don't!" Faith said shaking her head violently.
"Oh come on. It was fun last time. Please?" Tara pleaded with her cousin.
"Tara, you ran off stage last time and I had to do it alone. NO!" Faith reminded.
"What is going on?" Both Willow and Buffy looked at their girlfriends.
Tara pointed to the poster on the wall.
Talent Show
Auditions Friday Oct. 25
"Yeah, and?" Buffy asked.
"And, my dear cousin wants to do it. Even though last time we auditioned she bolted." the dark haired slayer said.
"Oh come on Faith, I was fourteen. I promise no bolting this time." the taller blonde begged.
"Yeah Faith. I'd like to see you in the talent show. Wills, Xan, and I did it last year." Buffy said.
Just the mention of the trio's performance made Willow shiver. Buffy saw it and looked at Willow. A shared knowledge of that event made the two best friends burst out in laughter.
"What's so funny?" Tara asked.
"We'll tell you in class." Willow answered.
"So Faith, you know I won't stop begging 'til you say yes, so can we?" the blonde witch asked.
"Fine, but if you bolt, never ask me again." the dark haired slayer sighed.
"YAY!" Tara squealed happily.
The four girls had a little laugh at Tara's excitement before heading off to their classes before the bell rang again and they where late.

The rest of the week went by rather quickly. Not much happened. There were only a few vampire attacks and nothing major had happened in weeks. This usually meant that something big was brewing.
Both slayers were on edge about it. Giles has stepped up their training for the day that the next big bad decided to show itself.
As for Tara and Willow, they also started their training. They started out slow. Tara taught Willow about the religion of Wicca. Willow, always loving to learn, was indeed learning fast.
Tara was very proud of her student. One afternoon, while studying the representation of the points on the pentagram or pentacle, Willow stopped Tara.
"Tara?" Willow asked to get the blonde's attention.
"Yes sweetie?" Tara responded.
"What are you and Faith going to do for the audition tomorrow?" the hacker's curiosity had finally won out.
Tara blushed at her girlfriend's question. "Um, well Faith pays the guitar and I, well I... um... sing."
Willow sat straight up at that. "You sing?"
"Um, well, a little." the blonde witch said.
"Cool. I'd love to hear you sing baby." the redhead smiled. Then she walked over to her girl and wrapped her arms around her waist.
Tara smirked. "You can, all you have to do is come to the talent show."
Willow went into a full out pout mode at this. "That is so unfair! The talent show isn't 'til December!"
"Awww, my poor baby." Tara leaned in and kissed Willow softly and sweetly on the mouth.
"Does this mean that you are gonna sing for me?" the redhead hoped.
The blonde gave a lopsided grin and then devilishly answered. "Yup, I'm gonna sing for you. In December, at the talent show."
"That is so not right." Willow said before she grabbed Tara and started to tickle her.
Tara was laughing and backing up away from Willow. The hacker only followed her girlfriend, however, until they both fell backwards on the bed laughing.
Willow looked down at the girl below her and leaned in to give her a kiss.
The kiss started slow and soft, just lips pressing lips. Soon though, the kiss started to heat up. Passion took over the two girls. Mouths opened and tongues began to duel. The kiss was passionate, loving and yet lustful.
Hands began to roam over each other's bodies. Never actually touching any private areas, although coming close many times.
Just as things were getting really heated there was a knock at the door.
"Just a minute!" Tara yelled as she reluctantly pulled away from Willow's lips.
She placed a small butterfly kiss on the girl's lips before getting up and straighting her clothes.
Willow seeing this followed suit. "I swear people have the worse timing." Willow pouted.
Tara only laughed at her girl's pout, even if she did fully agree. Then she went to the door to her room and opened it.
Standing there was a beautiful and graceful older woman. She had sandy blonde hair and the same intense blue eyes ans Tara. She was five foot six tall and around one hundred and thirty pounds. She was slim and fit and had an amazingly wan smile.
"Hey Tar-Bear." the woman greeted Tara as she leaned over to hug and kiss her.
"Hey mom." Tara greeted. "How are you? How was your trip? You just get home?"
Tara's mom laughed. "I'm good. The trip was fine. Yes, I just got home."
The younger blonde smiled at this. Then she remembered that Willow was there too. "Oh mom, I want you to meet someone. Mom this is Willow, my girlfriend. Willow this is my mom."
"Nice to meet you Mrs. Maclay ." Willow said properly and stuck out her hand to shake that of her girlfriend's mother. She was more than a little nervous to be put on the spot.
Mrs. Maclay laughed lightly. "Hi Willow. Call me Sara." She shook Willow's hand and then brought her in for a light hug.
When they parted the redhead looked at her girlfriend who was smiling widely. "And what is that for?" Willow mockingly asked.
Sara also looked at her daughter and just corked an eyebrow silently saying, 'Yes, what is that for?'.
"I can't help it. You two are so cute." Then she burst out laughing.
Not being able to resist, so did Willow and Sara.
When they finally calmed down Sara addressed the two girls. "Well I was coming to see if you and Faith wanted to join me for a dinner out but now I guess it will be you, Faith and Willow."
"Don't forget Buffy." Tara giggled.
"Who's Buffy?" Tara's mom asked.
"That would be my best friend and most importantly, Faith's new girlfriend." Willow answered.
"Well I see." Sara shook her head and then lightly laughed. "I swear, leave for a couple of weeks and when I get back my girls are in relationships."
"Oh yeah. You think that's big, wait 'til you hear the rest." Tara smirked.
****
Later that night, at the little burger joint they had chosen to eat at, the four girls filled the older woman in on all the details of the last couple of weeks.
"I see." Sara answered. "You girls have been busy."
Four sets of eyes were firmly set on the older woman to see what reaction she was going to have.
"Okay, who wants dessert?" Sara asked the group.
"That's it?" Faith asked her aunt in shock.
"Um yeah. What would you like me to say?" the older blonde asked.
"I don't know. I just thought more than 'I see'." the dark-haired girl answered.
"Well you four obviously care for each other. I can see the emotion radiating off of all of you. And you are obviously happy. So other than, 'I see' and maybe 'good for you all', I don't see that there is anything else to say." Sara finished.
"Cool." Buffy spoke.
Willow leaned over to whisper to Tara. "I really like your mom."
Tara smiled but Sara answered first. "I like you too, Willow."
"But, how did..., but I ..., How'd you know?" Willow sputtered.
Sara, Tara and Faith all laughed. Buffy and Willow just sat there with confusion written all over their faces.
"It's a gift, plus I have excellent hearing." Sara said.
Off Willow's pout at this, Tara leaned over and rubbed Willow's lower back and gave her a quick peck on the cheek.
This got rid of the pout and brought a small smile to the redhead's face.
"Okay babe, lets say we order dessert and then head out for a good slay." Faith said with a quirk of her eyebrow, her voice dripping with innuendos.
"Great." Buffy replied.
Sara fixed Faith with a look and then said. "You will be safe, right Faith?"
"Yes aunt Sara. Of course." the brunette answered.
"You be careful too Buffy." Sara said looking at the blonde slayer.
"Yes ma'am." Buffy answer.
"Oh dear, call me Sara. Ma'am is so cold." Sara told her.
"Okay...Sara." the blonde slayer smiled.
"Now you two eat your desserts and then head out. But, it is a school night. In by one a.m. I mean it. And no trouble this time Faith." Sara gave her a knowing look.
"I promise to be good." Faith smirked. And then off her aunt's look, she rephrased. "I'll behave."
"Good. Okay lets get those desserts." Sara answered.
****
The girls ordered their desserts and then paid and left the diner.
Faith and Buffy headed out for a quick patrol and the others went back to Tara's place.
On the way there, Sara had been sizing Willow up. Tara noticed this and noted that her mom was smiling and nodding her head.
When they reached the house, Willow was the first to speak. "So I guess I'll get my book bag and head home."
"Why?" Sara asked.
Willow looked nervous and then answered softly. "Um cause it is a school night and it is late and...um...and..."
"And you think that I'll think it is bad for you and Tara to share a room like you have been for the last week." Tara's mom answered in a sing-song voice.
"Ah, yeah." the redhead squeaked out.
Tara and her mother couldn't help but laugh at that. "Willow, honey, I trust my daughter and I trust you. Neither of you would do anything you weren't ready for and neither would pressure the other." Mrs. Maclay said gently.
"No! Never, I would never. Oh, not to say that Tara would. 'Cause she would never either. Neither of us would, and of course that is what you said. And I'm gonna stop now." Willow ended her little babble and then looked at Tara. "You're supposed to stop me when I do that."
Tara just shook her head and smiled. "I like it when you do that."
Willow smiled at her girl. She was truly falling more in love with her every second. 'I'm gonna be with her for the rest of eternity.' Willow thought.
Sara smiled like she had heard Willow's thought, then she spoke up. "So Willow, you staying?"
"Sure, thanks." the hacker said.
"No thanks needed. Lets just call your parents and then we can talk." Sara suggested.
"Um, Mrs... I mean Sara. My parents are not home. There outta town, again." Willow mumbled the last word and then hung her head. She always felt embarrassed that her parents didn't care about her.
"Awww, baby. It's okay." Tara said and then wrapped her arms around the small redhead's body.
Tara and her mother shared a knowing look. "I'm sorry Willow. I didn't know. Why don't we go inside and talk?" Sara said.
"It's okay. You didn't know. It's nothing major. I'm used to it. Yeah, I'd like to talk." Willow said with her head still hung.
The three witches walked into the house to start their talk.
****
"So B. my aunt scare you off?" Faith asked.
"Nope. Nothing could scare me off you." Buffy smiled then leaned over to give her girl a kiss.
"Mmmm, that's a good thing." Faith looked at her watch for a moment before speaking again. "You know this is wack! It's almost one and not more than a couple loser-y newbie vamps. This is really messing with me. I need a good 'Aggh'.!"
"Oh Faith, grunting so soon." Buffy joked.
"Hey B., what can I say, I'm in need." the dark-haired slayer smirked.
"Well too bad that we have to go now. But, if you're a good girl, maybe you can win a few kisses." Buffy knew that she was teasing, but she also knew Faith loved it.
"I'm always good B, and you know it." With a smirk Faith grabbed her girl and lifted her up.
Faith had her hands on Buffy's ass and Buffy had her legs wrapped around Faith's waist. Their lips were drawn together into a heated kiss.
This kiss was passionate and so fiery hot it could have melted steel. Tongues dueled and Faith pinned Buffy up against a tombstone and started to let her hands wander.
Just as Faith laid her hand on to Buffy's breast they were interrupted. "Lookie what we got here." A group of vampires had shown up just in time to piss Faith and Buffy off.
"Okay, you see here. I'm trying to have some quality time with my girl here. So here is how it will go. We'll kill you and then get back to making-out and you will just be dust. Kay?" Faith answered.
With that the vampires attacked and the two slayers went into action. These vamps were actually kinda strong but they seemed to be playing around. None of them were going for the kill.
This seemed wrong to both slayers but they didn't have time to ponder on that at the moment.
They fought all eight vampires off and eventually had staked them all but it had taken them a long time.
"Okay, I'm all better now." Faith smirked.
"Me too." Buffy agreed. "I think we should talk to Giles in the morning."
"Yeah. Okay we are late. Let's move." the dark-haired slayer said.
They took off in a run to get to Faith's without being much late.
****
"That's awful Willow." Sara said as she laid a hand on the girl's shoulder.
"Not really. I have everything I could want or need. I'm used to it." the hacker answered.
Sara was starting to get upset, and not at Willow. "No Willow, you don't have everything you need. You need your parent's time and love. And you shouldn't be used to not having it."
Willow looked down thinking that she had done something wrong. "Sorry."
"Oh no." Sara was shaking her head violently. "I didn't mean to make you feel worse, I'm sorry. Willow look at me please."
Willow looked up with unshed tears in her eyes.
Sara hugged the girl. "Willow, I'm not your mother and I can't replace her. But know this. You are always welcome here and you can always come talk to me about ANYTHING!"
Willow smile a little. "You mean that?"
"Yes." Sara said plainly and firmly, leaving no room for argument.
"Thank you." Willow dried her eyes. "Okay I think I have been enough of a cry baby for one night, and we have school in the morning. I think we should go to sleep."
"Yes, you should get sleep, and there is no such thing as too much of a cry baby when you need to get your feelings out." Sara said
She then kissed Tara and Willow on the cheek and hugged them. "Goodnight Tare-Bear, Goodnight Willow-tree."
Tara and Willow smiled. "Goodnight mom, Goodnight Sara."
As they walked to Tara's room Sara heard Willow say. "She gave me a nickname too. Does that mean she likes me?"
Tara answered. "Yup. Which is good. Since I really like you."
They shared a quick kiss and then continued to Tara's room. Once there they got ready for bed and went to sleep.
****
Five minutes later Faith and Buffy came rushing through the door of the Maclay home.
"And where have you two been?" Mrs. Maclay asked.
"Long story." Faith said.
"Then I suggest you start talking since you both are going to school tomorrow and you might want some sleep first." Sara told them.
The slayers sat down and started to tell the story. They already knew that tomorrow was going to come too soon and last way too long.
