Summery:Willow and her friends take a vacation to an Island. Tara happens to live on said Island.

























"Willow! Are you coming or what?" The petite blonde called from downstairs. "Paradise awaits and you are not ready?" She looked up at the sound of heavy footsteps coming down the stairs along with a loud banging sound. She saw the redhead dragging a suitcase behind her that was almost as big as her. "Willow? We are going for two weeks, not a year. You already have four big bags in the car, are you taking your whole room?"



Once she was down the stairs, the redhead answered breathing heavily. " What if something happens Buffy? You know, stranded on an Island...it could happen."



" This is an Island that has lots of People Willow....it's not deserted." She said smirking at her best friend. This was typical Willow, always worrying and overdoing things.



"I know Buff...but I do NEED these things. Like my Laptop, which is a neccessity. And..."



The blonde laughed. "Okay Okay....we have to get going. Don't want to miss the plane." She said taking the suitcase for her friend and heading out the door.



Xander was waiting for his friends at the car. "Bout time Will's. Is that your suit case?" He asked pointing to Buffy putting it in the trunk. "YOU could fit in that thing. I hope the plane can take all the weight..."



"Oh shut up Xander!" The redhead said to her friend since childhood. He always did like to tease her.



Everyone gathered in the car. "Alright kids, here we go!"

Knock Knock. One eye blinked open, then closed again. Knock Knock. This time two eyes opened. "What?!" The girl yelled out.



"Come on, open the door!" Came a pleading voice outside the door.



The girl pulled the blanket off of her and sat up. Messy blonde hair covered her face. She stumbled to the door opening it. "Damn..what do you want? Why are you up so early and why are you knocking?"



The dark haired girl rushed passed her and went to the fridge. " I forgot my key." She said taking out the orange juice and taking a drink from the carton.



The blonde set a glass on the counter. "The OJ goes in one of these." She said giving a knowing look. "You know..if I didn't love you so much you would have been gone long ago." She smiled as she pushed the glass to her friend.



"Yeah right Tara....it's more like if I didn't love you so much I would not be here." The dark haired girl said with a challenging expression.



"So tell me Faith...who are you hiding from?" The blonde laughed at her friends "how did you know" look. "Oh come on..It's so obvious. You pleaded for me to open the door. The Faith I know NEVER pleads."



"A girl."



"A girl? Since when do you hide from girls? What? Don't want to be a "player" anymore?" Tara asked sitting at the kitchen table resting her head on her hands paying very close attention.



The darked haired girl laughed. "Me? Like you haven't been with a lot of girls!"



"Yes but I don't have a different one every week!" She laughed knowing there was no way Faith would win this one.



" Whatever! This girl kinda found me out you know? She knows now that I'm not interested in her..mind. So, she's all pissed. It's not like I told her we were dating or that I was commited to her. I just don't get why they assume that." Faith said talking more to herself than her friend.



Tara couldn't control it any longer. She busted out laughing which caused Faith to look at her like she was insane.



"What the hell is so funny Tara?"



She wiped the water from the corner of her eyes. "Nothing Faith...you are so predictable!"



"Oh gee thanks....fuck this talking.....lets catch some waves." She said annoyed with Tara.



The blonde perked up. "Okay! Let me change, give me five minutes."



Seven minutes later the girls were heading to the beach. Considering they lived by the ocean it only took them two minutes to get to their usual surfing spot. Sometimes they would go to other spots but mostly they stayed close to home. It was what Tara always wanted, to live by the ocean, to be surrounded by it. She loved her home, she loved the whole Island really. Most of the people were nice, with the exception of a few. It was her dream since she was little, and now she was living it. Though sometimes she wanted more, she wasn't sure what she was missing but she knew it was something.



They came to the edge of the path. The blonde took a deep breath smelling the sea. "Nice waves out." She said.



"Mmmm...nice girls out." Faith said checking out all the hotties laying on the beach. Most were there watching their boyfriends surf.



Tara rolled her eyes at her friends comment but she couldn't help but smile. She looked around. "Yeah, there are some hotties out. But that is not what we came for and besides their all taken." She said a bit disappointed. She hadn't had a girlfriend in a while and was starting to really miss it.



"Oh well...come on, lets show those guys how to surf." Faith said as she winked and walked off.



They found a spot to put their blanket on and prepared to go into the water. "Race ya!" Faith said grabbing her board and taking off to the water.



"No fair!" Tara said grabbing her board about five seconds later.

I want to thank everyone for the great feedback. I am glad you all like the story as well as the idea. I will try to keep it updated often. Nice to see my story made me a new best friend.



























"Wow...this is great!" Buffy said, she was driving the red Jeep they had rented when they got to the Island. She had insisted they take the top off of the Jeep so they could "ride in style".



"Okay...turn left here." The redhead said looking at the map they had gotten from the agency. "There, that's the house." She said excitedly.



"Oh, good spot, right on the ocean!" Xander beamed.



"Yes, that IS what ocean front means."



"I know Buff, just didn't think it would be so...fronty." The dark haired man replied.



They started getting the bags out of the back of the Jeep. "I got first dibs on a bedroom!" Xander said taking off for the house.



"Oh I don't think so!" The blonde also took off.



"What makes you two so special?" Willow said running to catch up. By the time the redhead made it inside the others had already chosen a bedroom. "How rude." She said to herself making a pouty face.



Buffy came out of the room she chose. "Don't worry Will's, they're all the same. It is rather disappointing." She said with thought. "So..what do ya say we grab some lunch then check out the beach?"



"Sounds good, I'm starved."

Faith and Tara were heading back to their house to grab some lunch. "Yo Tara, someone renting the Stanley house?"



Tara looked at the Jeep parked next door to their house. "Guess so, man, I hope it's not those stupid guys again."



"Oh, they were such a pain in the ass. But it was well worth it seeing those dumbies try to surf." Faith laughed. "Oh and the look on their faces when..." Faith stopped abruptly.



Tara looked back at her friend. "What's wrong?" She asked.



"Well...it's not those guys." she said trying not to drool.



The blonde looked to see what Faith was talking about. She saw a petite blonde girl standing on the porch wearing a purple bikini with a sarong wrapped around her waist. She was applying lotion to herself. "She's pretty." Tara told her friend.



"Pretty? She's freakin hot!" The dark haired girl said a bit to loudly.



Tara saw the blonde look up. "Shit faith!" She said before running into the house. She didn't want the blonde to think she had said that.



Faith was still standing their like nothing had happened. She saw the blonde look her way, smile briefly and then go back into the house. She looked back in her friends direction. "Tara?"

Buffy and Xander were waiting on the porch for Willow to finish getting ready. "I bet there's a lot of hot girls here...oh..I can't wait. What is taking her so long?"



Just then they saw two girls come out from next door. "Oooh..we don't have to be on the beach to see the hotties." Xander grinned motioning his head to Buffy.



"Xander...do you ever think about anything else?" The blonde questioned.



"Oh please, you can't tell me they're not hot."



"No I can't but I am not going to drool over every hot girl here either." She said secretly wishing she knew who the dark haired girl was and why she was so wanting to get to know her better.



Just then Willow came out. "Ready. What are you guys talking about?" She asked overhearing a little of the conversation before she came out.



"The hotness of those two." Xander pointed out.



The redhead rolled her eyes before looking to see who he was talking about. Her eyes were immediately drawn to the blonde girl. The girl was waxing her surf board and talking to the dark haired girl. She wore a black bikini top with red and black surfing shorts. Oh...my Was all Willow's brain could come up with. She continued looking at the blonde. Her blonde hair was a bit wet and messy from what the redhead guessed was being in the water already that day. The redhead thought the look was sexy..very sexy. She then noticed the tattoo's the girl had, one on her right upper arm and one on her left shoulder blade. She couldn't make them out from that distance but she decided it was a plus. What's not sexy about tattoo's?



"Willow?" She heard her friend say.



"Huh?"



"I said are you coming or not? You know... swimming?" Buffy smirked.



"Oh..uh..yeah..lets go." And with that they headed to the water. She glanced one more time at the blonde before going. Yummy...

"All done?" Faith asked as she saw Tara finish waxing her board.



"Yeah...ready?" The blonde asked turning to Faith. At that moment red caught her eye. Red hair to be exact. All she could see was the back of the person that belonged to the flaming red locks.



"Oh lookie...more next door neighbors." The dark haired girl stated. "I am so gonna hook up with that blonde..." She saw the look her friend gave her. "What? As if you're not drooling at...who exactly are you drooling at..not the blonde right?" She asked hopefully.



"Okay..first, I am not drooling at anyone...."



"Right, I forgot, Tara does not drool." Faith said mocking the time that her friend told her that.



"...and second...you can have the blonde, red is much more sexy." She said winking at Faith.



"Ahhh..gotcha! She looks like a hottie too, maybe I'll have both!" Faith said teasing her friend.



"Uh huh...I'd like to see you try. How many times have you gotten the girl when competing against me again?" The blonde asked trying hard to remember.



"Oh fine! But you are no fair, you put on that mysterious act..and you have that look you do. Tara Maclay does not play fair!" She said remembering the times Tara did indeed win the girl.



"I never claimed I did, and besides, I can't help that I am hotter than you." She winked as she started walking to the beach leaving Faith looking helpless.



"I am so gonna get you for that Tara!" Faith said catching up with her friend.

"This looks like a good spot." Buffy said looking at her friends to see if they agreed.



"Yeah...good view of the babes." Xander grinned.



"Yeah." The redhead said not dissagreeing with the boy this time around. Seeing the looks she got for the statement.."What?"



"Willow is agreeing with me?" Xander said in shock, putting his hand over his chest.



"And you are complaining?" Willow asked.



"Never!" He said as he sat on the blanket Buffy had put down.



Willow thought of the blonde she saw. I sure hope she comes out here. She thought. Oh what am I saying? Someone that hot does not go for someone like me.



"Oh look, it's the two girls from next door." Xander said pointing. "They're gonna surf...hot women on surf boards? Oh yeah..this is gonna be fun."



Willow heard Buffy slap Xander's arm. She smiled..but not at her friends, at the sight of the blonde. Even if she couldn't hook up with the blonde, looking sure was nice. I could look at her all day. That body...mmmmm....milk does a body good! Her smile widened.



"Which one are you drooling over Will?" Buffy asked. It was obvious her friend was checking out one of them. She hoped it wasn't the one with dark hair.



"I am not drooling. Just..appreciating." She said satisfied with her statement.



"You have to pick? Both are drool worthy, lets drool at both!" Xander said. He saw both of his friends giving him the "you're such a perve" look. "Shutting up now."



Willow smiled at Xander then looked at Buffy. "Okay okay, the blonde."



Buffy smiled. Yes! She's not looking at my dark haired angel...wait! MY? Man, I have got to stop.

Faith looked up from laying her towel down and saw the yummy blonde from earlier. She caught the group looking at her and Tara. As soon as she saw them they looked away. She smiled knowingly at her friend.



"What?" The blonde asked also laying her towel down.



"Those neighbors of ours were looking at us. And not in a casual way, in a "I want to fuck you" way." She said smiling.



Tara looked at the group. "They're not looking now."



"Yeah..cause I caught them. I'm going over to say hi." She said walking off.



Tara smiled and watched her friend. Then her eyes drifted to the redhead. It was the first time she could see her face, even though it was a bit hard cause she was too far to see really well. Man..she is hot!

Buffy, Willow, and Xander were still "not looking" at the two girls.



"Hey." Faith said after approaching them.



Both Willow and Buffy jumped from being startled. They looked up...all fearing that she had come to cuss them out for staring.



Buffy was the first to apeak. "Hi"



Faith sat down. "I saw that you were renting the house next to us. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Faith." She said extending her hand to each in the group.



"I'm Buffy, this is Xander, and that's Willow." She stated before taking a drink of water.



She looked right at Buffy. "So..you wanna go out sometime?"



The blonde coughed and spit her drink all over the place at the bluntness. "Um...huh?" She asked while trying to wipe up the water.



Seeing the reaction, Faith spoke up. "Haha..just kidding. But, I do think you're hot." She winked. "Seeing as we're neighbors while you guys are here...we should hang out or something..all of us."

Tara was still watching Faith wondering what they were talking about. She hoped her friend wasn't messing anything up, she knew Faith was straight foward and sometimes it messed things up for her too. She saw her friend walking back, the anticipation of knowing how it went was killing her.



"Well?" She asked before Faith was all the way back to their spot.



The dark haired girl laughed. "Anxious are we?"



Tara rolled her eyes. "Yes..now tell!"



"We're hanging out tonight, I told them I would take them to Jim's." She said in triumph, holding her head high.



"You didn't mess it up?" She asked in disbelief.



"No I didn't, have some hope in your friend will ya?"



"Well..that can be a hard thing to do." The blonde teased.



"Oh really? Well then I guess I'll keep the redheads name to myself!" Faith laughed, grabbing her board and running to the water.



Tara got her board and ran to catch up. "Hey! Get your evil ass back here!"

First of all i am so sory that i didnt reply on ur other update because i never actually read this fic before. But thanks to my surfing buddy bud, Ashy bear (Ashleigh DUH)

I started to read today because i promised myself to!!

And i swear to god its freaky how Ash and i have something in common sometimes. Because I was trying to write a story too, with Tara as a surfer i mean. I swear to god its in my math note book and it hqas 45 pages. Plus, Faith and Tara are friends too. So BAH hahaa i had a deja vu whooot!!!



Anyhow i am babbleness again so i will quit torture u!!!
