Part One: Fates Collide (literally)
Willow was tired. Buffy had kept her up all night, talking about Parker, and all the problems she had been having. Then a whole day of classes had gone by. She was beat. She felt drowsy and sleepy, and she just wanted to go to sleep.
BAM! Willow tumbled to the floor, dropping all of her things. She felt her cheek begin to swell a bit. In front of her on the floor, was a girl, and she seemed to have dropped all of her things as well.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to... it's just I'm really tired, and I wasn't paying attention."
The girl looked at her concerningly. "Y-y-your cheek. I must have bumped into you there. I'm s-sorry. Maybe we should go to the nurse?"
Willow frowned slightly. "No that's okay. It's not that big a deal."
They both got up, and one of the other girl's books caught Willow's eye. "Oh my gosh!? Do you do spells?"
The other girl smiled. "Y-y-yea? Are you into the whole W-wicca thing?"
Willow smiled. "Yea, totally!"
The girl laughed slightly. "D-do you wanna come to my room? We could... do a spell? I have l-lots of stuff." She paused. "Oh, s-sorry. You're tired, and I'm kinda rushing y-you into this."
Willow jumped a bit excitedly. "Yea! I'd love to do something with you! I didn't think anyone here did any spells or conjurations. The other girls are all about baking cookies, and scented candles. Oh, I'm sorry! I'm Willow! What's your name?"
"Oh, I'm T-t-tara. I know what you mean. E-every girl is like 'Oh Moon Goddess' yada, yada, yada. You're the first one I've seen who knows about spells! So do you... wanna come over now?"
Willow looked down at her things. "Do you think we could stop by my room really quick. I have books I could get?"
Tara looked at her watch. "Uh... I have to take some stuff to the library." She pulled out a piece of paper and wrote something down. "Meet me here in half an hour, okay? Then we can talk some more."
Willow smiled. "No problem. See you then." Tara backed away slowly.
"O-okay. See ya." With that, she walked away.
Willow laughed to herself. "This is so cool! And suddenly I'm not so tired anymore."

Willow glanced down at the piece of paper that Tara had written on. "Yea... this is the place." She knocked slightly on the door, and about 5 seconds later, Tara opened it.
"Oh hey! Your exactly on time. Come in!"
Willow stepped in, and glanced around the room. "Yup. That's Willow. Always prompt and prepared." There were a lot of ingredients and books sprawled out in one of the corners of the room.
"Ooh! Are these your things? I brought some of my books and some things along too."
Tara smiled. "C-cool. Just put the things down on the floor, and we'll check out our little library." They sprawled everything out, picking up bags, bottles, casually glancing into books.
Willow beamed brightly. "So, how long have you been all... witchy?"
Tara smiled at her. "Always. I mean, since I was little. My M-mom was one. Very powerful. She taught me everything."
Willow rummaged through some little bottle with labels. "Eye of newt... Maybe she can show me a thing or two about spells... rat's tail..."
Tara sighed, and frowned. "S-she uh... she d-died. A few years ago."
Willow looked up at her, embarrassed and sad. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to... I just... I'm such a dumby some times." She frowned and gazed upwards.
Tara put her hand on Willow's shoulder. "No, it's okay. You didn't know. I'm not m-mad or anything. Just forget about it."
Willow glanced at the clock on Tara's desk. "Oh no! I have to go. I promised Buffy I would help her with some studying! Maybe tomorrow we can get together again?"
Tara felt saddened, but smiled and hid it. "Oh, no problem. We can definitely do something tomorrow. You should go. You don't want to be late."
Willow picked up all of her books and things, then got up. "Okay. So I'll see you tomorrow. Can't wait!"
Tara walked to the door, and opened it. Willow walked out, and looked back at her smiling. "It's great to have met you Tara. I have a feeling we're gonna be good friends."
Tara smiled back. "Y-yea Willow. So I'll see you around tomorrow. B-bye."
Willow waved, and walked away. "Bye!"
Tara stared at her walking down the hall. She bit her lip, then closed the door, wondering about this girl she just met, who made her so warm.
