As for Promised Land, I saw this twice when it's come on. My only problem is I cant get a good reception on my PAX channel so i've never been able to tape it. But I'll sit and watch it again cuz it rocks.

I just watched and taped "Promised Land" and..........WOW!!! The character Amber played was certainly WAY different from Tara. Still extremely GORGEOUS though .

I gotta say I loved the hair. The shorter blonde hair with the reddish tips..... Wowwie!!

An amazing characterization! Amber Benson's "snarky teen" was vastly different from Tara (indeed, as different as Michelle is from Willow: , which I guess just goes to show us how great an actress she is .

I was able to tape this episode FINALLY! But as I've stated before the reception isnt crystal clear. There was less snow on the channel today then in the past though, and its better than I could have hoped to have gotten. (its got a little grainyness to the picture, not all that bad really)



Sooooo....If you can give me a few days I'll encode the episode and have it available for downloading for those who missed it.



And now I'm upset that I dont have The Movie Channel

Well, I taped Promised Land and watched it late last night. I must say, I found the show itself to be pretty cheesy but I loved Amber. How could I not? She looked so cute with her pink hair. Loved it!

Thanks for the tip on SFW. I've been trying to watch it, and I do like Reese Witherspoon, but dear God. I think the fast forward to the end thing is the way I'll go. Though it is really weird to see her so young. When I watched Crush recently it was just odd.

Ok, I saw and taped Bye, bye love a while ago (probably got it on tape twice by now). I saw this great movie where Amber played the friend of Fairuza Balk's character in a movie with Harvey Keitell (forgot the title: it'll come back to me). I remember seeing The Crush ages ago, when I didn't know Amber yet, so if they ever show it again, my VCR will be waiting.



Now for Can't hardly wait: I was going to buy the Fucking Amal DVD, but since they showed that on NL3, I can save my money and buy another one. My question is: could someboy elaborate on Amber's role in that movie: has she got many lines, screen time, is the movie any good ? If there's a seperate thread, some pointers in the right direction would be cool. Thanks in advance

This is the deal with that movie. Amber's character is suppose to be stoned pretty much the entire time. They wanted the movie to get a PG rating, so they cut a bunch of drug related material and sex. Thus, pretty much all of Amber's scenes where cut from the film. There is one, about 10 second flash that she is on screen. She's staring at a banana!



I've always wanted to get the uncut version or deleted scenes to see if they had more Amber stuff!
