Totti's behaviour was disgusting and spitting is one of the worst things that goes on in football.

Even though I am a Scot good luck to England today and Veiled Isis moon I hope you have a good day on Broad Street, always a fun place to be (yeah another person who lives in Birmingham:applause :D )

Well done England! Had only Switzerland scored just one goal I would have won the sweeps at work as my score was 3 - 1 England to win.

Veiled isis moon - Another Brummie! How was Broad Street? I was a little wary of going into town following the trouble after the France game. The pubs of Moseley made quite a bit of money following that decision.:party

Arthur - I should have listened to what my mother said

Ford - Why, what did your mother say?

Arthur - I don't know, I didn't listen.

Its far from over, we still have to beat Croatia, but despite their showing against France, I think we can do it! Is it just me or does Owen look out of sorts? Guess it doesn't matter too much as long as someone's scoring for England, and he gets his head right for the next season, if he's still at the 'Pool. If not, well, he can be as out of form as he likes, I don't care!

Classy first and third goals, second one funny as f*ck and an underwhelming but effective performance. It don't matter how we win 'em as long as we do.

Well done England.

Now, I know I'm Irish and therefore possibly have no right in saying this, but my gf agrees with me, so here I go. Owen is not pulling his weight. Rooney is doing everything he can possibly do to help the team, but Owen is just sitting up front waiting for the ball to be played to him. This is not how to win European matches.

In both matches when Vassell came on instead of him the opposition was under serious threat from both strikers (until, that is Heskey came on instead of Rooney in the France game!!). This is the way to play - the way to win.

Darius should be in the starting eleven, imho. And not just 'cause he's a Villa player ;)

Also, I was really surprised at the result in the France -v- Croatia match. Fair play to Croatia.

OH MY GOD!! How chuffed am i!! 3-0, i'm so happy! The game was a little slow to begin with but it picked up the second half. I'm so proud of my boys!........and yes, they are my boys, bless em'!

Mollyig I totally agree about Owen, what the hell's he doing?? We've hardly seen anything of him, and when we have it hasn't been anything glamorous! He needs to pick up his game for Monday's match. Oh, and i had a wicked time last night. It was my friends birthday as well, so we had two reasons to celebrate. The atmosphere in the Auzzie bar was amazing, i loved it! Cramed full of people, lots of alcohol, loads of screaming at the t.v and jumping around, can't wait for Monday, we're going up again.

Walker, wow. Your from Birmingham too, cool! How'd you enjoy the match? Broadstreet wasn't too bad actually. Very busy, but cool. I didn't see any trouble or police around..............maybe that was because i'd had to much to drink, vision wasn't all that good!! You should go up Monday if you can though, it's great.

I'm chuffed Portugal are doing well too, being Portuguesse. My mum doesn't really watch the footie, but she's been screaming at the t.v like a right good'en, bless her! My only problem is if England and Portugal have to play, that'll be a lot of fun in my house!! Oh well, COME ON England and Portugal!!!

Well...Owen only crossed the ball once in the first half...I agree though, he hasn't been pulling his weight.

Switzland were far from pushovers and were a tad unlucky. Fair play to them. And no violence for once...shows that we do have true fans out there.

The France against Croatia game was the best possible result for us, leaves us needing a draw to qualify but leaves the top of the groups within reach and shows us all that France aren't infalliable.

Good going England boys.

I think England has a good shot at winning this championship. They already used up all the bad luck possible against France I think and France used up all it´s good luck. Ok, so that theory isn´t really scientifically based, but it works for me. I find myself looking forward to the Dutch match tomorrow. It will be all or nothing I think. Either they show they are worth the millions they make or they will have to leave with egg on their faces.

I thought the Czech v Holland game was great. I'm a big Holland fan (for the very simple reason that they have the best strip ever!) so I would have rather they went away with the 3-2 win but still a great game.

The Czech v Holland game was the best of the tourament by far and is gonna take some beating.

As for England, there are quite a few underperformers, Scholes and Owen being the worst offenders. I too think that Sven should start with Darius, no defender likes players running at them with the ball and both Rooney and Vassell are capable of doing that.

We got royally fucked up the ass by the Spanish referee. Two blatant penalties that were not awarded and one player that got sent off at 2-2 with a second yellow card for a foul that was not a foul. It was inevitable we would lose after that. I must say it is very frustrating, I did not expect the Dutch to play so very well (though the defense screwed up a few times) and then to lose anyway. Crap, it was a good game though, on both sides, very spectacular. I hope the Czechs will do their stuff against Germany and not lose to them, a draw would be good enough, but preferably a win. Then it is up to us to beat Letland. That is the only way we can make it to the quarter finals.

The Czech - Holland game was without doubt the best game of the tournament! Both teams looked so hungry for it. The Spain - Portugal game will definitely produce passion. Hopefully similar quality, but that will take some doing.

Garfield - Agreed. The refereeing has been universally poor all tournament with the excption of Collina (sp?). What worries me is that Collina is retiring after this tournament which leaves us without any reliable ref's.

Veiled Isis Moon - I thought that the match was quite poor overall. We definitely haven't seen the best of England yet. Maybe they're saving themselves for Croatia. If England and Croatia both play like they did against France that is going to be a hell of a game. Unfortunately I won't be able to go up to Broad Street on Monday. My friend's coming down from Edinburgh and is supporting Croatia so would definitely get us killed if I took him out anywhere. Quiet night in for us. You'll just have to drink more to make up for my absence. It's a sacrifice I'm sure you're willing to make. :lol

Arthur - I should have listened to what my mother said

Ford - Why, what did your mother say?

Arthur - I don't know, I didn't listen.

Walker i'm sure i'll get through it somehow!! Probably not best if you go to town then, you'll end up on Central News! Yeah, i think England have yet to play to their full potential, they can be soooooo much better. It's just whether they'll show it on the day, and if Owen and Scholes were actually playing any football, well, we'd just be class! Oh well, we'll see what happens tomorow, hopefully it'll be good news.

Well done Portugal for getting through, although truthfully, i'm not all that sure how they did it. First half was slow and who knows how they actually managed to score. Towards the end they picked up there game, Ronaldo was just class, Figo was okay but those two attempts at goal were just crap. One was pretty much an open goal and the other was one-on-one with the keeper..........what was that all about??!! Oh well, at least we're through, don't know how long we'll stay for!

COME ON ENGLAND!!

Well I'm sure the early Croatian goal terrified a lot of English hearts last night, but luckily the team didn't panic, which could have resulted in letting more goals in. Two great goals from Rooney, and again an apathetic performance from Owen. Well done England for getting to the quarters.

Ronney is a GOD, i want his children!!

Amazing result for England and it's good to see they're playing better than they have been, still more goodness to come hopefully. I forgive Scholes for his uneventfull begining to the tournament after his performance last night, but Owen is gonna have to sort himself out, how much time does he want??? We should beat Portugal quite easily if they play the same as they did against Spain, but i have a feeling they're gonna play better. Even still, i think we have a better chance of winning. The only decent players they have are Figo and Ronaldo. Anyhow should be a good game..............and meanwhile, WW3 has started in my house!! Portuguese mum, English step-dad........you do the math!

Can I just say that the 2:2 in Denmark vs Sweden was the perfect score for this game. Italy certainly deserved it after the cries of manipulation and fixed outcome.

Have to say that I thought Owen had a fairly decent game on Monday. He was involved in both of Rooney's goals and the goal for Scholes. If the final ball to him had been as good as the final ball Rooney got from him then Owen would have scored.

Portugal is gonna be a tough one, but I think we've got a good chance and I should think most of the teams left in the tournament are terrified of Wayne Rooney.

2-2 a Scandanvian fix? I hope not and I don't really think so. Italy really have added to their own fate. They weren't positive enough against Denmark and the thought the could settle for 1-0 against the Swede's.

I hope the Dutch go through tonight as I believe they were on the end of a couple of very bad decisions.

England tomorrow? I've seen nothing that could persuade me that Portugal are anything to be scared of;Ronaldo aside, but they have the advantage of being the home side and if Figo decides to play it could be interesting. Still I fancy England to win 3-1 andI'll keep my fingers crossed for them

Easily the best game of the tournament, and one of the most exciting I've seen in a long while...Portugal played their hearts out, and I have to (begrudgingly) give them their due...Wonder how things would've played out had Rooney not gone out, though.

Time to root for Denmark, my girlfriend's team.

Well that was exciting. I am most happy I am not English or Portuguese, that must have been nerve wrecking to watch. Nerve wrecking, yet beautiful. Both parties got to cheer, even if only temporarily for one of them. Too bad there had to be a loser, I am happy for Portugal though.

That evil biased william-dafoe-lookalike ref disallowed a perfectly good goal!

Ive never seen so many fully grown men hug or cry as i did tonight, what a tense match. I just ran home though, I definitely didnt wanna be out on the streets tonight, without a doubt the footy yobs will be out to cause fights with anyone and everyone :lol

I just feel sorry for my friend who's half-portugeuse :paranoid LOL

the ref was awful. Nearly every decison he made was a "home" decision. Very, very bad, but Portugal were the better team on the night.

Also as someone who is a Beckham fan this isn't the man I remember playing for Man UTD. He looked tired and jaded and was, I think, carrying an injury. Maybe he needs to concentrate on football and not on off the field "activities"
