I have a lot of random stuff that I've been wanting to say for a while and I'm not sure where to put most of it. So a daily thread for random things, starting with mine - maybe they'll inspire discussion. From least to most important.



#1 - I'm working on a book of quotations that's a project at nervousness.org. If you have any quotations you'd like to add, let me know. (:



#2 - For my class I'm supposed to make a photo collage about gender and sexuality. The prompt is "how do people and their surroundings display or perform gender and sexuality?" I'd reeeally appreciate pictures and the like, if you have anything you think would work for this - I'm not very good of a photographer, so. What you need to know is that they'll be displayed publicly (for my class), that I'd give you credit (if you send me pictures tell me how you'd want to be credited), and that the pictures aren't supposed to be posed. It's due in less than a month, so interweby pictures are great, but if that doesn't work out for you and you have something you really want to share, get in touch with me. Please and thank you.



#3 - (takes deep breath) I'm not sure how many of you know my name anyway, so this may be irrelevent. . . But I'm changin my name. I'm going to be going by Puck now, so I'd appreciate if you used that (or my screenname) when addressing me, rather than my old name. I feel very much a part of this community and a lot of you have become very important to me. As such, I wanted to share with you this change just much as I'm sharing it with the friends I see on a daily basis.

Wish I could help you with the gender pics... I'm not a very exciting genderf***er or anything, I'm an extra-girly female... But if I see any of my friends who's be willing to participate (and most of them would) I'll be sure to snap a few shots... Is that what you're looking for? I've actually got a couple of people in mind. I may be able to help with the Nness quotations book, I'd sure like to, but I just need to re-evaluate my workload to see if I can commit....

I have a question. More like an annoyance really. Ok fine, it's really a bitch.



Somebody please explain the reason for a “do not change lanes next ¼ mile” sign on the 520 (it's a floating bridge in WA that also allows ships through) Why can’t you change lanes if there is some dumb ass driver going like 10mph under the speed limit? What are the bridge police gonna come after me and give me a citation? Hmmmm? I know that there has got to be a good reason for that stupid sign, so somebody please put me out of my misery and explain to me WHY!
