So, in this commercial, some guy has videotaped himself in his truck, having a good time off-roading it. Static, and then a woman appears on a beach. It's his girlfriend and she's taped over the rest of his tape. She spouts about how much she hates it that "Mike" I think spends all his time hanging with his friends and his truck, and she calls out to an unseen friend of hers standing atop a cliff. Her friend(s?) proceed to push the truck over the cliff, and we cut the girlfriend jumping up and down and whooping with joy. The truck lands at the bottom of the cliff...without a scratch. And you hear the girl cursing in anger.
I admit, it made me laugh, but I think that was mostly out of shock. Why are women always shown as these irrational beings who do crappy overblown stuff like that? I don't know a single woman who's ever keyed someone's car or burned someone's clothes. Where did this woman scorned thing come from? It's so goofy.
Besides, I appreciate the value of a dollar far too much to wreck someone's things in retribution.
