I can't help thinking of "She's Got A Girlfriend Now" by Reel Big Fish (who are a great ska band). It's sung from a male point of view, but it starts like this:

She has a girlfriend now

She has a girlfriend now

She has a girlfriend now, she said

"Guys don't do no more for me"

"You never loved me, like I wanted you to"

I said, "I loved you baby, what do you want me to do?"

She said she found someone who's gonna hold her hand

She said she found someone who's gonna understand

She don't need nobody to be her man

She don't need nobody to be her man

etc.

Just for those people who somehow don't think Willow's gay.

Love songs used to bring that "aww" feeling to me when I heard em and thought of Willow and Tara.

Now, all I feel is sadness.

In Your Eyes By Peter Gabriel

Love I get so lost, sometimes

days pass and this emptiness fills my heart

when I want to run away

I drive off in my car

but whichever way I go

I come back to the place you are

All my instincts, they return

and the grand facade, so soon will burn

without a noise, without my pride

I reach out from the inside

In your eyes

the light the heat

in your eyes

I am complete

in your eyes

I see the doorway to a thousand churches

in your eyes

the resolution of all the fruitless searches

in your eyes

I see the light and the heat

in your eyes

Oh, I want to be that complete

I want to touch the light, the heat

I see in your eyes

Love, I don't like to see so much pain

so much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away

I get so tired of working so hard for our survival

I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive

and all my instincts, they return

and the grand facade, so soon will burn

without a noise, without my pride

I reach out from the inside

In your eyes

the light the heat

in your eyes

I am complete

in your eyes

I see the doorway to a thousand churches

in your eyes

the resolution of all the fruitless searches

in your eyes

I see the light and the heat

in your eyes

Oh, I want to be that complete

I want to touch the light, the heat

I see in your eyes

I'm going to see Heather Nova tomorrow night so I have been listening to some old stuff and it struck me that this song from The crow could be sung by a Tara returned from the grave.

Believe in Angels by Heather Nova

Where the silence falls

Where the river runs deep

Where the shadow ends

So begins the dream

Where the hunger leads me

It's hard to believe

I'll be lost to you

It's the blood that ties

It's the hurt that heals

It's the face you hide

Hides the pain you feel

So hold me up now

Yeah, I'm afraid to breathe

An' I'm lost to you

Yeah, I'm lost to you

I believe in a heaven

I believe in the night

I believe there's a path to follow

I believe in the light

Part of you is the devil

Part of you is the light

I'm gonna fly

Through the city of angels

Hold me under

Let the river wash away my sins

Let me drown and you

Let the water and the love rush you

You can hear me whisper

When you're listenin'

And I'm lost to you

Yeah, lost to you

I believe in a heaven

I believe in the night

I believe there's a path to follow

I believe in the light

Part of you is the devil

Part of you is the light

I'm gonna fly

Through the city of angels

It's the blood that ties

It's the hurt that heals

It's the face you hide

Hides the pain you feel

So hold me up now

I long to believe

And I'm lost to you

Yeah, lost to you

I believe in a heaven

I believe in the night

I believe there's a path to follow

I believe in the light

Part of you is the devil

Part of you is the light

I'm gonna fly

Through the city of angels

Edited to add and maybe a song for Willow

Heather Nova- The Blood of Me

Big ring around the moon

It's gonna rain hard soon

I know you're gonna leave

It's like a storm inside

You're the blood of me

You're the truth that hurts

You're the memory

You're the drug that works

Why do people change

When hearts, hearts, still beat the same ?

You're the blood of me

You're the truth that hurts

You're the memory, yeah

You're the drug that works

I don't believe you when you tell me

I don't believe you when you hold me

I don't believe you.

You're my medicine

I don't believe you when you fuck me

You're the blood of me

You're the blood of me

You're the truth that hurts

You're the memory, yeah

You're the memory

You're the drug that works

You're the blood of me, yeah

You're the blood of me

You're the truth that hurts, hurts

You're the memory, yeah

You're the memory

You're the drug that works

Big ring around the moon

Gonna rain hard soon

These five words in my head scream "are we having fun yet?"

ok songs; hummm,

"Chained to You".....savage garden

"I knew I Loved You"......also savage garden

but after watching the end of s6 :cry the one song i cant get out of my head is "A Love So Beautiful"......Michael Bolton

i can picture tara walking in a heavenly dimension remembering her Willow...........

The summer sun went down on

Our love long ago

But in my heart I feel the same

Old aferglow

A love so beautiful

In every way

A love so beautiful

We let it slip away

We were too young to understand

To ever know

That lovers drift apart

And that's the way love goes

A love so beautiful

A love so free

A love so beautiful

A love for you and me

And when I think of you

I fall in love again

A love so beautiful

In every way

A love so beautiful

We let it slip away

And when I think of you

I fall in love again

A love so beautiful

We let it slip away

A love so beautiful

In every way

A love so beautiful

We let it slip away.........

:cry :cry :cry i know im sappy and all but they have to bring tara back :willow & :tara :love 4 ever

Ok NOW I remember a good one!

Postby Kieli » Mon Jul 22, 2002 2:31 pm

This one is off the Dawson's Creek soundtrack :o Shocker of all shockers, I know. It's by a lady with a killer voice named Nikki Hassman. It never fails to reduce me to mush and think of W/T. Enjoy.

Any Lucky Penny

Performed by Nikki Hassman

Written by Nikki Hassman and Patrick Leonard

Baby, look around

See that I'm nowhere to be found

You wanna feel me near

Then close your eyes and I'll appear

And dream of all of me without tears

Anything it takes to wish me here

Oh, magic and sweet lullaby

Any lucky penny will do fine

Oh, wish me here

Your arms are open wide

Waiting for me to run inside

I'll meet you in the clouds

Please you, your power to bring heaven down

And dream of me without the tears

Anything it takes to wish me hear

Oh, magic and sweet lullaby

Any lucky penny will do fine

Oh, wish me here

And when we're face to face

The world just fades away

So take me to the place

It's just you and I

Every single night

And dream of me without tears

Anything it takes to wish me here

Oh, magic and sweet lullaby

Any lucky penny will do fine

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah

Love is tricky. It is never mundane or daily. You can never get used to it. You have to walk with it, then let it walk with you. You can never balk. It moves you like the tide. It takes you out to sea then lays you on the beach again. Today's struggling pain is the foundation for a certain stride through the heavens. You can run from it but you can never say no. It includes everyone."--Amy Tan "The Hundred Secret Senses"

Alright since I happen to be a huge U2 fan (favorite band) - I'm gonna list the songs that remind me of Willow and Tara from them:

With or Without You

Stay (Faraway, So Close)

Until The End of the World

Bad

Other songs that remind me of Willow and Tara are

Possession by Sarah McLachlan (I'm sure this one was already discussed but hey)

You are loved - Victoria Williams

Tonight, Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins

That's just a few off the top of my head.

I'd post lyrics but that'd take forever :)

There's a song by an Irish songwriter that's been covered by a few people (although I prefer Maura O'Connell's version), and its about Ireland, but the chorus makes me think of Willow, because, well it mentions a willow tree! Also the first line makes me think of her. "croí" is gaelic for heart, and it might seem strange to say heart, your heart is breaking, but its also used as a term of affection. The song is called mystic lipstick (yeah I know weird).

Croí o mo croí, your heart is breaking.

Your eyes are red, your song is blue.

Your poets underneath the willow in despair.

They have been lovers of your sad tune, lovers of your slow air.

Hey willowsmirk, I happen to be listening to U2 at the moment (All I want is you) so I'll add that to your list too!

Okay, Kieli mentioning the Dawson's Creek soundtrack reminded me of one that's on the 2nd CD. Yeah, yeah, whatever. Yes, I have both, but we won't go into that. The song is totally W/T, though.

Never Saw Blue Like That

Sung by Shawn Colvin

Today I took a walk up the street

And picked a flower and climbed the hill

Above the lake

And secret thoughts were said aloud

We watched the faces in the clouds

Until the clouds had blown away

And were we ever somewhere else

You know, it's hard to say

And I never saw blue like that before

Across the sky

Around the world

You've given me all you have and more

And no one else has ever shown me how

To see the world the way I see it now

Oh, I, I never saw blue like that

I can't believe a month ago

I was alone, I didn't know you

I hadn't seen or heard you're name

And even now, I'm so amazed

It's like a dream, It's like a rainbow, it's like the rain

And somethings are the way they are

And words just can't explain

Cause I never saw blue like that before

Across the sky

Around the world

You've given me all you have and more

And no one else has ever shown me how

To see the world the way I see it now

Oh, I, I never saw blue like that before

And it feels like now,

And it feels always,

And it feels like coming home

I never saw blue like that before

Across the sky

Around the world

You've given me all you have and more

And no one else has ever shown me how

To see the world the way I see it now

Oh, I, I never saw blue like that before

Oh, I, I never saw blue like that

:) I love this song! I actually discovered it through a video someone made about another TV couple I am obsessed with. ;) But, I think it's a great Willow/Tara song too.

All I Have - Beth Neilson Chapman

You can say you love me,

And I believe that's true

Trusting you is easy

'Cause I believe in you

There is nothing I would miss

As long as we're in love like this

All I have is all I need

And it all comes down

To you and me

How far away this world becomes

In the harbour of each other's arms.

I feel like I've known you forever and ever

Baby, that's how close we are.

Right here with you is where my life has come together

And where love has filled my heart

You know I'd go anywhere

As long as I have you to care

All I have is all I need

And it all comes down

To you and me

How far away this world becomes

In the harbour of each other's arms.

Ohh and with the love you bring,

I never want for anything

I found what I've been searching for in you.

All I have is all I need

And it all comes down

To you and me

How far away this world becomes

In the harbour of each other's arms.

Songs for W/T

Postby Adelus » Sat Jul 27, 2002 3:49 pm

There's a song by Beth Orton called Central Reservation that reminds me of Willow and Tara in a sexy way. Not sure who she wrote it for... but sample lyrics are:

Running down a central reservation in last night's red dress

And I can still smell you on my fingers and taste you on my breath

Whew! Steamy... :blush

(for us on this side of the pond, "central reservation" is that part of the road that separates one side of the road from oncoming traffic...maybe our British friends could better explain it; I just figured it out while watching a car chase in "The Knock", I think it was...)

And for Willow, I unfortunately think of Natalie Merchant's My Beloved Wife, a very poignant song about loss:

You were the love

for certain of my life

you were simply my beloved wife

I don't know for certain

how I'll live my life

now alone without my beloved wife

my beloved wife

I can't believe

I've lost the very best of me

...

Ach! Such heartache.

This song really isn't about Willow and Tara, so I changed all the "boy" to "girl" and it fits them so PERFECTLY. "Angle of Mine" by Monica"

"Angel of Mine"

When I first saw you I already knew

There was something inside of you

Something I thought that I would never find

Angel of mine

I look at you, lookin' at me

Now I know why they say the best things are free

I'm gonna love you girl you are so fine

Angel of Mine

How you changed my world you'll never know

I'm different now, you helped me grow

You came into my life sent from above

When I lost all hope you showed me love

I'm checkin' for ya girl you're right on time

Angel of Mine

Nothing means more to me than what we share

No one in this whole world can ever compare

Last night the way you moved is still on my mind

Angel of Mine

What you mean to me you'll never know

Deep inside I need to show

You came into my life sent from above (Sent from above)

When I lost all hope, you showed me love (Girl you showerd me love)

I'm checkin' for ya, girl you're right on time (Right on Time)

Angel of Mine (Angel of mine)

I never knew I could feel each moment

As if it were new,

Every breath that I take, the love that we make

I only share it with you (you, you, you, you)

When I first saw you I already knew

There was something inside of you

Something I thought that I would never find

Angel of Mine

You came into my life sent from above (Came into my life, yeah yeah yeah)

When I lost all hope you showed me love (Girl You showed me love, uh huh)

I'm shakin' for ya, girl you're right on time (But boy your right on time)

Angel of Mine (Angel of mine, oh mine)

How you changed my world you'll never know

I'm different now, you helped me grow

I look at you lookin' at me

Now I know why they say the best things are free

I'm checkin' for ya, girl you're right on time

Angel of Mine

Been listening to my James Bond soundtrack album and thought a couple of songs could easily belong to W/T (but then again pretty much any song I listen to nowadays makes me think of W/T). By the by, these have all been transcribed by my good self, so I may have got a word or two wrong. Anyhoo, here they are:

NOBODY DOES IT BETTER by CARLY SIMON (from The Spy Who Loved Me)

Nobody does it better,

Makes me feel sad for the rest

Nobody does it half as good as you

Baby, you're the best

I wasn't looking, but somehow you found me,

I tried to hide from your love light

Like heaven above me,

The spy who loved me is keeping all my secrets safe tonight

And nobody does it better,

Though sometimes I wish someone could

Nobody does it quite the way you do

Why'd you have to be so good?

The way that you hold me, whenever you hold me

There's some kind of magic inside you

That keeps me from running, but just keep it coming

How'd you learn to do the things you do?

And nobody does it better,

Makes me feel sad for the rest

Nobody does it half as good as you

Baby, baby, darling you're the best

Baby, you're the best

Baby, you're the best

Baby, you're the best

Baby, you're the best

Darling you're the best

Darling you're the best

Darling you're the best

Darling you're the best

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY by SHEENA EASTON (from For Your Eyes Only, coincidentally ;) )

For your eyes only, can see me through the night

For your eyes only, I never need to hide

You can see so much in me, so much in me that's new

I never felt until I looked at you

For your eyes only, only for you

You'll see what no one else can see,

And no one break it free

For your eyes only, only for you

The love I know you need in me, fantasy you freed in me

Only for you, only for you

For your eyes only, the nights are never cold

You really know me, that's all I need to know

Maybe I'm an open book, because I know your mine

But you don't need to read between the lines

For your eyes only, only for you

You'll see what no one else can see,

No one break it free

For your eyes only, only for you

The passions that collide in me, the wild abandoned side of me,

Only for you, for your eyes only

WE HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD by LOUIS ARMSTRONG (from On Her Majesty's Secret Service)

We have all the time in the world,

Time enough for life to unfold all the precious things love has in store

We have all the love in the world,

If that's all we had you will find we need nothing more

Every step of the way will find us,

With the cares of the world far behind us

We have all the time in the world, just for love,

Nothing more, nothing less, only love

Every step of the way will find us,

With the cares of the world far behind us, yes

We have all the time in the world, just for love,

Nothing more, nothing less, only love

Only love

ALL TIME HIGH by RITA COOLIDGE (from Octopussy)

All I wanted was a sweet distraction for an hour or two

Had no intention to do the things we've done

Funny how it always goes with love when you don't look you find

But then we're two of a kind, we move as one

We're an all time high,

We'll change all that's gone before,

Doing so much more than falling in love

On an all time high,

We'll take on the world and win,

So hold on tight, let the flight begin

I don't want to waste a waking moment, I don't want to sleep,

I'm in so strong and so deep, and so are you

In my time I've said these words before, but now I realize,

My heart was telling me lies, for you they're true

We're an all time high,

We'll change all that's gone before,

Doing so much more than falling in love

On an all time high,

We'll take on the world and win,

So hold on tight, let the flight begin

So hold on tight, let the flight begin

We're an all time high

Dance with you - Live

sittin' on the beach

the island king of love

deep in fijian seas

deep in some blissful dream

where the goddess finally sleeps

in the lap of her lover

subdued in all her rage

and I am aglow with the taste

of the demons driven out

and happily replaced

with the presence of real love

the only one who saves

I wanna dance with you

I see a world where people live and die with grace

the karmic ocean dried up and leave no trace

I wanna dance with you

I see a sky full of the stars that change our minds

and lead us back to a world we would not face

the stillness in your eyes

convinces me that I

I don't know a thing

and I been around the world and I've

tasted all the wines

a half a billion times

came sickened to your shores

you show me what this life is for

I wanna dance with you

I see a world where people live and die with grace

the karmic ocean dried up and leave no trace

I wanna dance with you

I see a sky full of the stars that change our minds

and lead us back to a world we would not face

in this altered state

full of so much pain and rage

you know we got to find a way to let it go

sittin' on the beach

the island king of love

deep in fijian seas

deep in the heart of it all

where the goddess finally sleeps

after eons of war and lifetimes

she smilin' and free, nothin' left

but a cracking voice and a song, oh lord

I wanna dance with you

i see a world where people live and die with grace

the karmic ocean dried up and leave no trace

I wanna dance with you

i see a sky full of the stars that change our minds

and lead us back to a world we would not face

we would not face

we would not face

we would not face

we would not face

we would not face

Sarah McLachlan - Lost

By the shadows of the night I go

I move away from the crowded room

That sea of shallow faces masked with warm regret

They don't know how to feel

They don't know what is lost

Lost in the darkness of a land

Where all the hope that's offered is

Memories of being taken by the hand

And we are led into the sun

But I don't have a hold on what is real

Though we can only try

What is there to give or to believe

I want it all to go away

I want to be alone

Sympathy's wasted on my hollow shell

I feel there's nothing left to fight for

No reason for a cause

And I can't hear your voice

And I can't feel you near

Lost in the darkness of a land

Where all the hope that's offered is

Memories of being taken by the hand

And we are led into the sun

But I don't have a hold on what is real

Though we can only try

What is there to give or to believe

I wanted a change knowing all I could do was try

I was looking for someone

Here's some other songs... ('cause frankly, I've been thinking about W/T a lot lately) ;) Again, transcribed by me, so be wary of mistakes...

IN THESE ARMS by BON JOVI

You want commitment, take a look into these eyes,

They burn with fire, yeah, until the end of time,

And I would do anything, I'd beg, I'd steal, I'd die,

To have you in these arms tonight

Baby, I want you, like the roses want the rain,

You know I need you, like a poet needs the pain,

And I would give anything, my blood, my love, my life

If you were in these arms tonight

I'd hold you, I'd need you, I'd get down on my knees for you,

And make everything all right,

If you were in these arms

I'd love you, I'd please you, I'd tell you that I'd never leave you,

And love you till the end of time,

If you were in these arms tonight,

Oh yeah

You said I feel some and we made a promise,

A promise this world, who'd never blind us,

And these were our words; our words were our songs,

Our songs are our prayers; these prayers keep me strong,

And I still believe, if you were in these arms,

I'd hold you, I'd need you, I'd get down on my knees for you,

And make everything all right,

If you were in these arms

I'd love you, I'd please you, I'd tell you that I'd never leave you,

And love you till the end of time,

If you were in these arms tonight

Your clothes are still scattered all over our room,

This whole place still smells like your cheap perfume,

Everything here reminds me of you,

There's nothing I wouldn't do

And these were our words; they keep me strong, baby

I'd hold you, I'd need you, I'd get down on my knees for you,

And make everything all right,

If you were in these arms

I'd love you, I'd please you, I'd tell you that I'd never leave you,

And love you till the end of time,

If you were in these arms tonight

If you were in these arms tonight,

If you were in these arms tonight,

If you were in these arms tonight,

If you were in these arms, baby,

Like the roses need the rain, like the seasons need to change,

Like a poet needs the pain, I need you, if you were in these arms tonight

SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW by EVA CASSIDY ( must be her version)

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

In the land that I heard of once, once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue

And the dreams that you dared to dream really do come true

Someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me

Where troubles melt like lemon drops away above the chimney tops,

That's where you'll find me

Someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me

Where troubles melt like lemon drops away above the chimney drops,

That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue

And the dreams that you dared to dream really do come true

If happy little bluebirds fly above the rainbow, why, oh why can't I?

NEVER HAD A DREAM COME TRUE by S CLUB 7

Oooooo

Everybody's got something they had to leave behind,

One regret from yesterday that just seems to grow with time

There's no use looking back or wondering, (Or wondering)

How it could be now or might have been, (Or might have been)

Oh, this I know, but still I can't find ways to let you go

I never had a dream come true,

Till the day that I found you

Even though I pretend that I've moved on,

You'll always be my baby

I never found the words to say, (Words to say)

You're the one I think about each day, (Each day)

And I know no matter where life takes me to,

A part of me will always be with you

Somewhere in my memory I've lost all sense of time, (Ahhhh)

And soon my world can never be,

'Cause yesterday is all that fills my mind

There's no use looking back or wondering, (Or wondering)

How it should be now or might have been, (Or might have been)

Oh, this I know, but still I can't find ways to let you go

I never had a dream come true,

Till the day that I found you

Even though I pretend that I've moved on,

You'll always be my baby

I never found the words to say, (Words to say)

You're the one I think about each day, (Each day)

And I know no matter where life takes me to,

A part of me will always be...

You'll always be the dream that fills my head,

Yes you will, say you will, you know you will, oh baby

You'll always be the one I know I'll never forget

There's no use looking back or wondering, (Or wondering)

Because love is a strange and funny thing, (And funny thing)

No matter how I try and try, I just can't say goodbye,

No, no, no, no

I never had a dream come true,

Till the day that I found you

Even though I pretend that I've moved on,

You'll always be my baby

I never found the words to say, (Words to say)

You're the one I think about each day, (Each day)

And I know no matter where life takes me to

A part of me will always be...

A part of me will always be with you.

STAND BY ME by BEN E KING

When the night has come

And the land is dark

And the moon is the only light we see

No, I won't be afraid

No, I won't be afraid

Just as long as you stand, stand by me

So darling, darling stand by me

Oh stand by me

Oh stand, stand by me, stand by me

If the sky that we look upon should tumble and fall

Or the mountain should crumble to the sea

I won't cry, I won't cry

No, I won't shed a tear

Just as long as you stand, stand by me

And darling, darling stand by me

Oh stand by me

Oh stand now, stand by me, stand by me

And darling, darling stand by me

Oh stand by me

Oh stand now, stand by me, stand by me

Whenever you're in trouble won't you stand by me

Oh stand by me

Oh stand now, oh stand, stand by me

And this one's for Joss...

YOU'RE SO VAIN by CARLY SIMON

You walked into the party

Like you were walking onto a yacht

Your hat strategically dipped below one eye

Your scarf, it was apricot

You had one eye in the mirror

As you watched yourself gavotte

And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner

They'd be you partner, and

You're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain

I bet you think this song is about you

Don't you? Don't you?

You had me several years ago

When I was still quite naive

Well, you said that we made such a pretty pair

And that you would never leave

But you gave away the things you loved

And one of them was me

I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee

Clouds in my coffee, and

You're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain

I bet you think this song is about you

Don't you? Don't you?

I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee

Clouds in my coffee, and

You're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain

I bet you think this song is about you

Don't you? Don't you?

Well, I hear you went up to Saratoga

And your horse naturally won

Then you flew your Lear Jet up to Nova Scotia

To see the total eclipse of the sun

Well, you're where you should be all the time

And when you're not, you're with

Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend

Wife of a close friend, and

You're so vain

You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain

I bet you think this song is about you

Don't you? Don't you?

There ya go... :grin

OK... I just heard a song from the Lilo and Stitch soundtrack and a remake of the old Elvis tune... I love the words and I think about just the joy of love and the joy that W/T brought to me. It's the giggly joy that you get when you see them share those "Big Pineapple" moments. It's remade by the ATeens in an upbeat pop tempo, very bouncy...

Wise men say only fools rush in

but I can't help falling in love with you

Shall I stay

would it be a sin

If I can't help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea

Darling so it goes

some things are meant to be

take my hand, take my whole life too

for I can't help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea

Darling so it goes

some things are meant to be

take my hand, take my whole life too

for I can't help falling in love with you

for I can't help falling in love with you

This song makes me smile, just like what W/T does for me.

This is my favourite song in the whole world. In fact, I think it would make a great W/T music video, if I knew how to make one... :confused Anyhoo, I've changed a couple of words so that it fits better with W/T. Oh, and throughout, think of "they" as Joss and Mutant Enemy. ;)

VINCENT by DON McLEAN

(Tara's version)

Starry, starry night,

Paint your pallet blue and grey,

Look out on a summer's day

With eyes that know the darkness in my soul

Shadows on the hills,

Sketch the trees and the daffodils,

Catch the breeze and the winter chills

In colours on the snowy linen land

Now I understand,

What you tried to say to me,

And how you suffered for your sanity,

And how you tried to set them free

They would not listen, they did not know how,

Perhaps they'll listen now

Starry, starry night,

Flaming flowers that brightly blazed,

Swirling clouds in violet haze

Reflecting [Tara's] eyes of china-blue

Colours changing hue,

Morning fields of amber grey,

Weathered faces lined in pain

Are soothed beneath the [witch's] loving hand

Now I understand,

What you tried to say to me,

And how you suffered for your sanity,

And how you tried to set them free

They would not listen, they did not know how,

Perhaps they'll listen now

For they could not love you,

But still your love was true,

And when no hope was left inside on that starry, starry night

[They] took your life as [writers] often do

But I could have told you, [Tara],

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you

Starry, starry night,

Portraits hung in empty halls,

Frame-less heads on nameless walls

With eyes that watch the world and can't forget

Like the strangers that we've met,

The ragged men in ragged clothes,

The silver thorn of bloody rose

Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow

Now I think I know,

What you tried to say to me,

And how you suffered for your sanity,

And how you tried to set them free

They would not listen; they're not listening still,

Perhaps they never will.

Yep, always brings a tear to my eye, that song... :shy

Ok, so I heard this song tonight and the first thing I thought of was W/T. Well, it's reminds of W/T if you just kinda ignore the first verse. The chorus just drew me in.

Destiny by Zero 7

I lie awake

I've gone to ground

I'm watching porn

In my hotel dressing gown

Now I dream of you

But I still believe

There's only enough for one in this

Lonely hotel suite

The journey's long

And it feels so bad

I'm thinking back to the last day we had.

Old moon fades into the new

Soon I know I'll be back with you

I'm nearly with you

I'm nearly with you

When I'm weak I draw strength from you

And when you're lost I know how to change your mood

And when I'm down you breathe life over me

Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny

On a clear day

I'll fly home to you

I'm bending time getting back to you

Old moon fades into the new

Soon I know I'll be back with you

I'm nearly with you

I'm nearly with you

When I'm weak I draw strength from you

And when you're lost I know how to change your mood

And when I'm down you breathe life over me

Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny

When I'm weak I draw strength from you

And when you're lost I know how to change your mood

And when I'm down you breathe life over me

Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny

I'll fly, I'll fly home

I'll fly home and I'll fly home

so come on and test me, go on and try it, because I know that I fit perfectly inside you, and to deny this love would be to deny your heart, and you’re going be the one who breaks it, baby, if you choose to walk

you, the stranger who took a chance, held me at a distance so I could see myself, so thank you for everything you gave without knowing, and thank you for letting me fall in love without withholding

I was looking up some lyrics on the web today (okay, so I have vidder's block :) ) and came across this beautiful song by Emmylou Harris. It describes Willow, post-DMW, looking back on Tara's death and the events of the finale.

"Prayer In Open D" - Emmylou Harris

There's a valley of sorrow in my soul

Where every night I hear the thunder roll

Like the sound of a distant gun

Over all the damage I have done

And the shadows filling up this land

Are the ones I built with my own hand

There is no comfort from the cold

Of this valley of sorrow in my soul

There's a river of darkness in my blood

And through every vein I feel the flood

I can find no bridge for me to cross

No way to bring back what is lost

Into the night it soon will sweep

Down where all my grievances I keep

But it won't wash away the years

Or one single hard and bitter tear

And the rock of ages I have known

Is a weariness down in the bone

I use to ride it like a rolling stone

Now just carry it alone

There's a highway risin' from my dreams

Deep in the heart I know it gleams

For I have seen it stretching wide

Clear across to the other side

Beyond the river and the flood

And the valley where for so long I've stood

With the rock of ages in my bones

Someday I know it will lead me home

--------------------

The following country song can also describe S7 Willow, but concentrating more on her love for Tara.

"No Place That Far" - Sara Evans and Vince Gill

I can't imagine any greater fear

Then waking up without you here

And though the sun will still shine on,

My whole world would all be gone

But not for long

If I had to run, if I had to crawl

If I had to swim a hundred rivers just to climb a thousand walls

Always know that I will find a way, to get to where you are

There's no place that far

It wouldn't matter why we're apart

Lonely minds or two stubborn hearts

Nothing short of God above

Could turn me away from your love

I need you that much

If I had to run, if I had to crawl

If I had to swim a hundred rivers just to climb a thousand walls

Always know that I will find a way to get to where you are

There's no place that far

Baby, there's no place that far

"Give me your heart" by Irish singer Gemma Hayes.

Well I'll be seeing you tomorrow

I'll be seeing you again.

God knows we've said so little

I'd go so far as to call you a friend.

Bu there's something in your ways

that keeps me vying for a connection

And I know you feel the same

Its become a two way addiction.

Come on and give me your heart.

And say its forever.

this is a sad one, but very fitting both to the breakup and...the other shite:( *sniff*

Victoria Williams

I'm going to live my life

Like every day's my last

Without a simple good-bye

It all goes by so fast

And now that you're gone

I can't cry hard enough

No I can't cry hard enough

For you to hear me now

I'm going to open my eyes

And see for the first time

I've let go of you like

A child letting go of his kite

There it goes up in the sky

There it goes beyond the clouds

For no reason why

I can't cry hard enough

No I can't cry hard enough

For you to hear me now

I'm going to look back in vain

And see you standing there

When all that remains

Is just an empty chair

And now that you're gone

I can't cry hard enough

No I can't cry hard enough

For you to hear me now

So I've been listening to my Bryan Adams album, and I've picked out three of his songs that, IMO, had to have been written for Willow and Tara... ;)

Anyhoo, here they are:

THE BEST OF ME

Sometimes words are hard to find

I'm looking for that perfect line

To let you know you're always on my mind

Yeah this is love - n' I've learned enough to know

I'm never lettin' go

No, no, no - won't let go

When you want it - when you need it

You'll always have the best of me

I can't help it - believe it

You'll always get the best of me

I may not always know what's right

But I know I want you here tonight

Gonna make this moment last for all your life

Oh yeah this is love - n' it really means so much

I can tell from every touch

No, no, no - can't get enough

When you want it - when you need it

You'll always have the best of me

I can't help it - believe it

You'll always get the best of me

LET'S MAKE A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

I love the way you look tonight

With your hair hangin' down on your shoulders

N' I love the way you dance your slow sweet tango

The way you wanna do everything but talk

And how you stare at me with those undress me eyes

Your breath on my body makes me warm inside

Let's make out - let's do something amazing

Let's do something that's all the way

Cuz I never touched somebody like the way

I touch your body now I never want to let your body go...

Let's make a night - to remember

From January - to December

Let's make love - to excite us

A memory - to ignite us

Let's make honey baby - soft and tender

Let's make sugar darlin' - sweet surrender

Let's make a night - to remember - all life long

I love the way you move tonight

Beads of sweat drippin' down your skin

Me lying here - n' you lyin' there

Our shadows on the wall and our hands everywhere

Let's make out - let's do something amazing

Let's do something that's all the way

Cuz I've never touched somebody like the way I touch your body

Now I never want to let your body go...

Let's make a night - to remember

From January - to December

Let's make love - to excite us

A memory - to ignite us

Let's make honey baby - soft and tender

Let's make sugar darlin' - sweet surrender

Let's make a night - to remember - all life long

I think about you all the time

Can't you see you drive me outta my mind

Well I'm never holdin' back again

Yeah, I never want this night to end

Cuz I've never touched somebody like the way I touch your body

Now I never want to let your body go...

PLEASE FORGIVE ME

It still feels like our first night together

Feels like the first kiss and it's getting better baby

No one can better this

I'm still holding on and you're still the one

The first time our eyes met - it's the same feeling I get

Only feels much stronger - I wanna love you longer

You still turn the fires on...

So if you're feeling lonely...don't

You're the only one I'd ever want

I only wanna make it good

So if I love you a little more that I should

Please forgive me - I know not what I do

Please forgive me - I can't stop loving you

Don't deny me - this pain I'm going through

Please forgive me - if I need you like I do

Please forgive me - every word I say is true

Please forgive me - I can't stop loving you

Still feels like our best times are together

Feels like the first touch

We're still getting closer baby

Can't get close enough

I'm still holding on - you're still number one

I remember the smell of your skin

I remember everything

I remember all your moves - I remember you

I remember the nights - you know I still do

So if you're feeling lonely...don't

You're the only one I'd ever want

I only wanna make it good

So if I love you a little more than I should

Please forgive me - I know not what I do

Please forgive me - I can't stop loving you

Don't deny me - this pain I'm going through

Please forgive me - if I need you like I do

Please forgive me - every word I say is true

Please forgive me - I can't stop loving you

One thing I'm sure of - is the way we made love

And the one thing I depend on

Is for us to stay strong

With every word and every breath I'm prayin'

That's why I'm sayin'...

Please forgive me - I know not what I do

Please forgive me - I can't stop loving you

Don't deny me - this pain I'm going through

Please forgive me - if I need you like I do

Please forgive me - every word I say is true

Please forgive me - I can't stop loving you

Songs for Tara and Willow

Postby TarasSirenSong » Wed Sep 04, 2002 6:57 pm

Gloomy Sunday

Sunday is Gloomy,

My hours are slumberless,

Dearest, the shadows I live with are numberless

Little white flowers will never awaken you

Not where the black coach of sorrow has taken you

Angels have no thought of ever returning you

Would they be angry if I thought of joining you

Gloomy Sunday

Sunday is gloomy

with shadows I spend it all

My heart and I have decided to end it all

Soon there'll be flowers and prayers that are sad,

I know, let them not weep,

Let them know that I'm glad to go

Death is no dream,

For in death I'm caressing you

With the last breath of my soul I'll be blessing you

Gloomy Sunday

Dreaming

I was only dreaming

I wake and I find you

Asleep in the deep of

My heart

Dear

Darling I hope that my dream never haunted you

My heart is telling you how much I wanted you

Gloomy Sunday

Days Go By

You are still a whisper on my lips

A feeling at my fingertips

That's pulling at my skin

You leave me when I'm at my worst

Feeling as if I've been cursed

Bitter cold within

Days go by and still I think of you

Days when I couldn't live my life without you

Days go by and still I think of you

Days when I couldn't live my life without you

Without you

Without you

You are still a whisper on my lips

A feeling at my fingertips

That's pulling at my skin

You leave me when I'm at my worst

Feeling as if I've been cursed

Bitter cold within

Days go by and still I think of you

Days when I couldn't live my life without you

Without you

Without you

Days go by and still I think of you

Days when I couldn't live my life without you

Days go by and still I think of you

Days when I couldn't live my life without you

Without you

Without you

Without you

Without you

Without you

:cry :cry I WANT TARA BACK!
