W/T comic -WannaBlessedBe

I was at forbidden planet in Newcastle today, picking up a new copy of WBB (only cost me £2.10p unread &sealed ) as mine got a bit tattered.....and there are 2 release dates for the Wilderness comic. June 12th and july 10th, it's not clear if this is june for the U.S. and july for the uk or that july is the second part.



I suggest you get it ordered now. as usual there will be 2 different covers, art work and photo .

it's not the entire comic, shinnen, I purposely did not scan the whole thing originally because I wanted it to sell well and I wanted Amber to get that credit. Now it's been a while and .. maybe. this summer.

I really understand a lot about the supporting the comic as well as amber.... it's why i spent almost a fifth of my paycheck on tales of the slayer... but I'm not getting anywhere with the booking of the comic book at the 2 shops where i frequent, nor do i trust oline auctions as I've been cheated a couple of times.



But it's a last resort to erm.. heh heh.... make a request. waiting more than a year for a comic book is torture. I had to wait 2 and a half years for my SiP vol 3 issue 4... not fun at all.

Yeah, it seems like the only place to get it at this time is on ebay. But I wouldn't be surprised if Darkhorse does another printing, has anyone written them?



Anyway, I can do more scans.. I can do it maybe this weekend or the one after.

Sometimes you can get lucky and comic book stores will get shipments from other stores or collections. The one I go to usually has at least one copy of WannaBlessedBe, with the photo cover. I'm still trying to get my grabby hands on the comic cover.



I actually have three copies of it. One regular just to read, and two gold foil limited editions that were signed by Amber Benson. Heh.



Anyway, my point is, I can probably get my hands on one or two pretty easily if you're still wanting one. Email me if you'd like. My addy is in my profile.

well the problem with ordering it from them is that I know I had a horrible experience with them. In the end I got it quicker by going to the comic book store. Also http://www.tvmerch.com ships it out quicker.

The only thing that bums me out is the second part to this comic comes out Sept. 11, so there is a wait between both parts. Although, I can't wait to read this comic, and I hope my comic dealer gets this on time, because he never seems to get the comic on the date it says it will be released.

Hum no Bob, I'd agree eventhough I am not an US citizen, not because it may be the last story with Tara, we don't know that for sure, it does not seem like a good date to release anything really.

Ah and I am so not loving that Tara mug shot from S5, they use a S6 Willow promo shot and that sulky Tara one from S5. Amber is a beauty, but honestly if I had to pic a least favourite pic, that would be it and they just won't stop using it. *sigh*

I just picked up the new W&T comic, finally my comic guy gets a comic on the date it says it will be out! Just quickly skimmed the comic as I am going out soon, but its cute. Dawn worries W&T are gonna dance naked during a ritual, but Tara assures Dawnie they won't. However, Tara insinuates that later they get do some dancing alone. There is holding hands, hugs, but no actual kissing in the first part. Quite a lot of innuendo, and what I read so far I like the comic, so I am happy with part 1.

anyway... I was just saying that I like the story but hate the artwork.

I must say it's a pretty great issue. I find the story a perfect missing episode of the show that I only wish we got to see on tv. Dawn/Tara/Willow episode was so warranted and never shown.



As for the drawings I think AJ inks them a little harsher than the last Tara/Willow special issue Blessed Be.



Terry Moore (of Strangers in Paradise fame) is much softer with his drawings of woman. More round and less hard lines.



This issue has more of an animated WB look.



Blessed Be was the issue that brought me back to comics and I must say I am pleasantly surprised by the state of comics these days. They aren't just for boys anymore.



Pick up a copy.

I'm so excited I bought like 5 copies, and I keep thinking of people I just *have* to give a copy to. The comic itself was amazingly written, just not enough Kitten action for my taste, but you could definitely tell Amber has a perverted brain.



My comic shop only had one of the photo cover left, so I got it, plus a bunch of the animated one.

Ok, I liked the art in this one. I think they look more like w/t than moore's strangers in paradise copy cats. Plus they got the eye color right :P The art is real colorful and much better than the typical Buffy comic.



The story is great. I like the fact that it deals with the environment because it is consistent with Golden's "The Wisdom of War" where Dawn also feels outrage about the environment. It is a better story then the first w/t comic but it is less shippy. This is definitely a family outing. Still I liked the naked implications, would have liked a kiss, maybe in the next one.
