Who else is extremely jealous of everyone who gets to go to this tomorrow?? Humph. Oh well since Im not going, there must be a detailed report with pictures to go along with it! And I want you all to wear you got Tara shirts! Honestly, I would be so scared I wouldnt know what to say if I ever got to see Amber Benson. Last year my friends all wanted to go see Mandy Moore at the mall so I went with them (really wanted to see a celeb!) and I got really scared and didn't know what to say. Still she hugged me and said 'Whats up dude? How are ya? " Okay sorry I think im subconsciensly trying to tell myslef that Im okay with not going tomorrow. Waaaa I want Amber! Wow sorry having a Dawn moment here *jk Dawn knows I love her * Alrite everyone, detailed reports tomorrow and beautiful pictures to go along with them. I cant wait!

Okay, Mish and I had to bail pretty much right away, so there's still Kitten fun happening as I type this up. I have to actually leave for work in 40 minutes so this is gonna be quick. The Big News ... we were interviewed by Fox for the S6 DVD boxed set. I'll let someone else go into that more because, as I mentioned, I'm pressed for time with the report.



We arrived around 10:30 or so (without getting lost!!) ... found the Kittens right away. We got a killer parking spot. I was so unsure about the parking. In order to get in you had to have the CD, and we were tld at first the only thing they could sign was the CD. One per person. This changed to two items per person, much happiness ensued. We sat around chatting by the Dumpster, trying to breathe, talking and gettign interviewed by the Fox people.



Finally, Amber's mom arrived and we were happy to see her there. The Joss pulled up in the Joss-mobile. People cheered. He looked kinda ... scruffy? We didn't know who else was going to be there, but I guessed last ngiht that Michelle Trachtenberg would be there and once we got in I was glad that I was right. She was pretty nice. She looks so like .. grown up. I've been watching her since she was little.



The way the line was going, the first person to sign was Michelle T. and I didn't have so much to say to her (brain froze, but at least I could form words at that point, I'm like 6 feet from Amber and still able to speak so YAY) but took pics of her for my friend Tony. Thanked her. Then next at the table was Joss. I was so unsure what to say to him! So he signed my booklet and Shinnen's booklet. I said "thank you." That was that. LOL.



Then I brought a gift for Amber, they saved the best for last heehee. Snapped a pic of her while she signed my booklet and Shinnen's booklet. Then I actually spoke ... lol ... I told her that I'd heard her and her sister were into Weezer and she did this really cute thing, like putting her fist to her chest and said "Love Weezer!" She looked at the track list Michelle wrote up in the car as we were driving and said that she finds the coolest music that way, fans making mix CDs for her. She seemed really happy. Then she gave me a hug, I was like O_O and still holding the camera. Michelle was trying to grab the camera she she could get a pic of Amber hugging me but I was like "Duh!" and still holding the camera numbly. LOL. So there will be no pic of that. But I don't need a picture ... Amber hugged me and I will always remember it. Then I was kinda ... leaving ... still talking to her and she BLEW ME A KISS. ^__^ Yay!



Then all the Kitties met up outside again. We got pics taken, talked a little, then Mish and I had to go, we weren't sure how traffic would be. We pulled in like 5 minutes before Mish had to go to work so we did pretty well. All in all a good time was had. We're getting the pics done at the one hour photo while we're working, might blow one up if it's good. I wouldn't be surprised if I had my finger over the stupid shutter though. I'm used to SLR cameras. I hope I didn't screw it up!

Ok, I'm back from the signing, too.



I arrived at the line at 11:30am, but I wasn't the last, a lurker came and found us, and that was great, she seemed nice.



I hung out with everyone, and met many people for the first time, it was really fun. I'm sorry that I don't have much to say, I kinda feel all talked out.



I had two cds for them all to sign, one was for this person whose name I forgot (this ties in later)



When I walked up to Michelle T, I noticed that her hair was died with many blonde streaks. I told her it looked really good. She said "thank you", and asked me to say it louder so that Joss would hear. He had heard the first time, but he informed her that he was just concerned about it being the same shade as smg's. It SO did not look the same.



I was planning on not having Joss sign my cds, but he was there, and just held out his hand, so I had him sign the back cover. I didn't say anything to him.



Then I got to Amber. I handed her the cd cover with me, that had a my name written on it on a post-it note (thanks Kay). She signed it to me, which was really nice of her, because we were told earlier that they weren't personalizing anything. I then handed her the other one, and she asked me who it was for. I blanked on the name (sorry Di, I rmember now at home, that I see your name written down in front of me) and told her that it was for a Kitty, but I forgot the person's name. Amber laughed. And then I walked outside.



After a lot of standing around, then saying goodbye to Joy and Michelle, and then a lot more standing around, we finally decided to eat at Yankee Doodle's, across from the Hollywood Athletic Club. Unfortunately, there is no YD's across from there, so after the whole caravan of cars pulled over, we decided to double back and go to Dublin's. That was fun. I believe that Rally took pictures of us all with drinks. Food was also had, but I'll let others make a report about that.



At around 4, I had to leave, because I was nervous about my car, which I had left at Tower Records, having gotten a ride from Sparrow. So I walked back to my car, got home, and then took my dog for a walk.



Others will pick up the storyline from there, I'm sure.

Sounds like a good Kitten time so far. I just hope nobody got rained on. (Yes, we actually had a rainstorm in September here in LA. We really needed it because of the Williams Canyon fire, but it was still a surprise.)

Well, I just got back. Arrived at 8:30am, hung around and chatted with folks. Got some faces to go with a few names (always cool). Went and had a mocha at the place across the street while waiting. I bought the CD (which was on sale) and got it signed by Michelle T. and Amber (whose smile, btw, is utterly beyond description).



To be polite, I gave Joss a card to sign (someone I know might like it). We exchanged a few words (nothing about Buffy).



Then we all ended up at a very, very loud pub/sports bar. Stuffed potato skins. Nummy! DarkWicca ordered pear cider, which sounded so good I nearly ordered some myself.



And then I headed home.

Well, the other reports were so thorough I guess I'll just hit some highlights.



First of all, I too was interviewed by Fox for the S6 DVD boxed set. But, in addition I was interviewed by A&E. Appearently they are doing a Biography on BtVS ( at least that's what they told me). Gee, I ended up signing 2 different release forms today. Oh, and A&E said that they would send me a tape of the show



As for all the other goodies. Yes, much standing around. I got there around 7:30AM (made really great time driving) so I just hung out.



For any of you who were there and aren't sure who I was, I was the one that handed out bottled water and chocolate to everyone You got have provisions when you're waiting all day.



Anyway, much waiting. Michelle arrived via a chauffered Lincoln Town Car (I think Amber did as well. I didn't see her come in). Diane (Amber's mom) arrived and parked. She walked by me and I know that she knows me so I said hi. Joss arrived in his BMW. Man, he always looks kind of scruffy.



Much more waiting, which was partially filled by the interviews.



Anyway, as for the signing itself. They had a table set up on a riser and they all sat in this order: Michelle, Joss, then Amber.



I had Michelle sign my friend's poster (Hey, Urn you only need like 3 more signatures and you've got them all. Minus Sarah of course because she doesn't sign anything). I told Joss that he didn't have to sign because he already had in San Diego. I also mentioned that Amber didn't have to sign because she already had in Toronto.



Anyway, so I get to Amber and I give her the things I had for her. I got a hug for the one thing i brought for her and then she saw I had a camera and did a posed hug for a pic. I wasn't about to have her sign anything more because I already have like 5 autographs from her. Besides I wanted to chat.



Well, there wasn't much time for chatting. The whole deal was very rushed because the line was so long. Those of you who went to Toronto would have been disappointed with the time crunch at Tower.



Anyway we talked a little. And she asked me why I didn't come to Alabama. I certainly wasn't expecting her to ask me that. Anyway, I told her that I considered it, but I didn't want to be in the way there.



That was the bulk of the conversation.



I did speak to Diane for a few minutes. She knew me from San Diego because we had like a 35 minute chat there.



She said, "I certainly hope you didn't drive all the way here for this?" I told her that I was in LA to see some friends anyway and thought I'd pop in. She told me to drive home carefully. LOL.



Anyway, I hung out until after the signing and tried to catch Amber on her way out, which I did. Again, it was vary rushed and she apologized for the time crunch.



That's pretty much it.



I ate lunch (I guess it was lunch) at "Red Rock" which was like a pub. It was across the street. The potato skins were mediocre, but not pricey.



Hope that helps some of you live vicariously. I'm always happy to oblige.

Michelle looks cute, and sigh Amber is just so beautiful (love the little Amber tummy showing in some of the pics). And my god does Joss look so scruffy, of course, this seems to be his standard look, but I think I will instead focus on the Amber goodness , !

And Joss...Well really who cares, he looks like crap as usual. Is it asking him too much to put a brush through his hair and maybe shave! I know he's busy but argh.

Superherofan: To tell the truth, I didn't feel very intimidated meeting her (and it was the first time). I don't know why, though. I've met other stars, and had the same feeling "gee this is cool". I think that I was way more nervous (as others can attest to) at my first meeting with other Kitties.



I think that the big difference is that the Kittenboard is a community, and I wanted to make a good impression and not appear as the idiot that I am. But if I make a fool of myself in front of Amber, it doesn't matter, because I can still continue to be a fan and to enjoy her work, and it's not as if she'd ever be my friend.



Does that make sense? Sometimes I think that I only make sense to myself.



But I suspect that if I were to meet Amy Wynn or Anne-Marie Lucas in person, I'd be a lot more nervous.
