I thought I would post this here, since it's somewhat (but not exclusively) inspired by Willow and Tara. I was up late the other night (curse you, insomnia!), and I just really had the urge to write. It's been agessss since I've written, so I was a little surprised, but I'm really happy with how this turned out. It's short, but I honestly spent about two hours getting it justttt right, so I hope you guys like it! Also, I hope it doesn't seem too random, because it really isn't. My style is just so off the wall lately. Comments/critique always welcome. I might post some more stuff later.
Shadows play
Across the sky
Bright eyes, don't turn away
Goodbye sun
Little fairy lights
Chase bad thoughts away
They're looking again, transfixed
Curious murmurs
Are we glowing?
I'm sure we're glowing.
Moths. They are moth people.
A rainbow, see
The color of her eyes, her tiny
Tears
No, don't look away
Trembles, spilling over
Leaves through the back door
Oh, honey, you aren't
Seeing
Those clouds look angry
Goodbye sun
Nestled like an insect
Infant insect
Where are your wings?
Letting the ink
Make love to the parchment
Old and yellow
I'm sorry that time
Would not stand still, for you
Her smile
The most beautiful thing
I can feel it
Hundreds of tiny hummingbirds
Fluttering, just beneath my skin
Fingertips, electric
Hello sun
I've missed you, I promised
Open your eyes little one
Emeralds drowning
In a sea of sapphire
She could drown,
She could drown forever
Safe, chase
The cold away
The moon was never full
Without you
