When it's discovered there is no hell

What new lies will the preacher's spin?

Since all will be going to heaven

There will be no more need for sin

For we shall learn that fiery flames

Do not mean us harm,

But instead should protect us

Keeping us safe and warm

The people will start to feel

And (God forbid) even love

Raw emotion comes easily

When there is no threat from above

Therefore damnation is the choice

Of the saved who suffer to believe

And me? I find my own redemption

In living before I must leave.

Beautiful angel

haunts my dreams

always my thoughts

dominates my schemes

Never shall I see you

again in mortal sunlight

but often you visit me, consume me like the dead of night.

So you think you wanna give your daddy the one-up

Well, to put it politely, why should I give a flying fuck?

I know he made the undefeatable look the hapless fool

Still that doesn't mean I should accept your prejudiced, tyrannical rule

If you cared for your country you'd have given some sort of sign

Why do I think caring is too big a word to have entered your simple mind?

After all you aren't the one who is or loves the dying

Remember the words of that God you try to spread, forgiveness is divine

So cut it out, put down your toy guns that shoot

Stop playing black and white. Nothing's that absolute.

Never really fallen before

I’m very afraid of heights

But being around you has opened my … eyes

To falling’s little hidden delights

I find myself turning

Into a simpering sap, the kind that I used to mock

Sweet nothings and bemoaning time spent apart

A lover, me? That’s quite a shock

But I treasure each moment in my heart.

I wrote this because if one more person asks me what sexual abuse or other trama occured to zap me lesbian I will become violent. Writing a poem seemed a safer solution.







Simple Questions With No Particular Answer



How does this strange thing called fear grow?

These precisely calculated theories about what they don't know

Is it jealousy over some untapped treasure

Or wanting to not want another's pleasure

I wish all could love whoever however they wanted

Few would live torn and far less would die haunted.

He owned you in so many ways for his own sick recreation

One more quick poem. Not a haiku this time. Not autobiographical, but something many of my friends have dealt with at one time or another.



Late



I'm not going to make it

Just can't pull through

I'd easily forsake it if there weren't so much left to do

Waiting for the love-hate stain to appear

This sense of certainty it won't all but cements my fear

I'm a good girl

I never wanted to leave anybody behind

Can't face the options for this life

Abandoned, unborn, scarred, or all alone dying.

Soft shivers I can't forget
