Poetry

I have no idea why I am posting this since I stink at poetry but here's one that I wrote a few days ago...

Isolation

Looking out of my window

Seeing the white clouds under the dark sky

Counting all the stars in the heavens

Watching my days go by

My hand on the window’s clear glass

Eyes glued to the outside world

My life flashing before my eyes

On a large chair where I am now curled

I close my eyelids and hear myself think

My eyes are filled with tears

I feel my heart beat heavily beneath my aching chest

Engulfed with all these fears

When will my life ever start?

When will I ever be able to feel?

Days going by like minutes to me

Is any of this really real?

Please help me find my way

Please help me find my special place

Please hold my hand as I walk out that door

Finally showing my face

Cradle my heart with yours

Entwine your fingers with mine

Let’s walk out through this journey of life

Let’s let me finally shine

~~~~~~~~~
WOW, you guys that little poem? Thanks!
Here's another that isn't quite that great. I wrote this when I was in high school, it was an assigned poem that I had to write. It won top three for some reason so that's good news. :)
Nursemaid
There was a nursemaid with them as well
Her visage appeared ashen and blanched at tell
Whitewashed and bleached like a phantom at sever
This for she had invariably eluded sunlight, every and ever
Auburn and stalky hair over blench streaks, visible in the night sky
Showed age and wisdom beyond her years and by
Nose pointy and compact
Lips tight and crimson in shade and tone, this was not an act
Displayed a quiet tongue underneath and below
Her eyes azure orbs, yes they were so
Hefty and aghast, witting and perpetually aware
Gentle and inviting, an intense gaze fixated on populace and pair
A faint soul affable and amiable in nature and sun
Loved and cherished by every and everyone
Her attire was immaculate, faultless as well
Her persona more so and tell
And gave her cent to church, helped sickly youth like prize
Ethical, noble, virtuous, and wise
Adoring husband and fair children at her hand
Her habitation stood tall and firm on land
Planted and gardened on back
Stood many a potatoes that all heaped and piled on a sack
A saint is what she has been called
Overheard this and she bawled
Could scarcely conceive what was said
Heard it again and again and she turned red
Humble and haughty was she
Everything imagined and public, this was thee
Her smile still wide
And eyes bright and lit
Everyone adored this woman, mind body and soul
Every little bit.
Here's another....
Missing You
I never envisioned myself standing here
In front of this grey headstone as I shed my last tear
Gazing into the sky I could almost see your face
Those beautiful deep orbs so filled with grace
There’s so much I need to tell you
And so much I need you to know
That I cherished every minute we had together
And I love you so
It’s hard to sleep without you
I don’t know what to do
All I can think is all the times we spent together
And all that we’ve been through
You’re in my heart, I know you are
I can feel you as it beats
I can also hear your voice in the wind
As I walked those lonely streets
Are you looking over me now?
In that big white fluffy cloud?
I’m trying so hard for you
I want to make you proud
I want you to know how happy you’ve made me
That my love for you will never die
Your absence hits so hard sometimes
That I just cant help but cry
But all that doesn’t matter baby
You’ll always be where you always will
I’ll wait for you forever
I’ll wait for you just until
~~~~~~

LOVE

I love feeling your arms around me

Your warm breath across my face

I love holding your hand under the shining stars

I love how you make my heart race

I love kissing you again and again

The feel of your lips against mine

I love how my body trembles in desire and want

I love how you make my day shine

I love pressing my ear against your chest

The steady rhythm of your heart beat I hear

I love how you hold my heart in yours

I love how you can dry away every tear

I love walking with you as I watch the sun set

Our hands linked together in a tender embrace

I love burying my hands in your hair

The feel of your long tresses like soft and silky lace

I love looking into your eyes as I wake in your arms

My dark orbs gazing deep into your soul

I love how you fill my life with happiness and bliss

I love how your mere presence can make me feel whole

I love you so much; I love you more and more

I love how you make my heart soar and soar

You’re everything, I hope you know

That you are my life and you are my soul

Warning: The following poem deals with thoughts of suicide

Help me help you

~~~~~
A two part poem by two points of view
~~~~~

The rage inside you burns

The hollowness of your heart engulfs you

The hateful feelings inside you that yearns

There’s nothing in this world that feels true

You pound on your wall, again and again

Your hands turning red from the force

You pull your hair in frustration

But nothing really helps, of course

The whole world is against you

Why are you even here?

You try to end your life

But even that you seem to fear

You cry and you cry

And you cry and cry again

But no one seems to hear you

Not even your one and only friend

A blade to the wrist

One helpful slash

One bloody drop

One white and shimmery flash

Everything will end

You’ll see, you’ll see

Your pain and fear you’ll send

To the ground where you’ll be free

You’ll be happy again

You’ll smile like you never did

You’ll be in peace my friend

Grief and heartache and helplessness you’ll finally rid

You’ll see your grandma and grandpa up there

Little Ms. Poopers is there, I swear

They’re all waiting for you

To do what you know in your heart is true

Now pick up that knife

And make that first slice

The initial slash will hurt

But the rest will feel just like ice

It’s the only way

It’s the only thing you’ll bear

The other side is better

I swear, I swear

Just do it

Don’t be afraid

It’ll be quick and swift

And then you’ll finally have it made

~~~~~
Please put down that knife
There’s so much out there to live for
I know things are hard
But there’s more, there’s more
There are rainbows and stars
White clouds and bright sunshine
Green grass and bright pastures
I promise you that everything will be fine
I’ll help you
I’ll help you find your way
Just take my hand
And tell me about your day
I’m sorry, sweetie
I’m sorry I wasn’t there
I’m sorry you thought that I left
But know that I really do care
People love you
They really, really do
They don’t want to see you gone
You can’t really think that’s true
What about your mom and dad?
They love so much
And your brother and sister
I think that they would really miss your touch
And me?
What about me?
I’d miss you more and more
Being around you made my heart soar and soar
Please baby
Please put down that knife
Please let me hold you in my arms
Please don’t end your life
~~~~~~~~~~

* She looks up at her friend and their eyes lock, with a nod of her head, she takes her hand *

Buried Deep

A mouse in a trap

Unlikely to escape this spot

Imprisonment and torment

Torture and rot

Closing walls and isolations surround

Forever alone in this square box where you’re bound

Ringing in the ears

Piercing sound in your brain

Continuous screams and shudders driving you insane

Gasping for breath, eyes bulging deep

Liquid water slowly seep

Pleading and bangs

Clawing your way out

Yelling at the top of your lungs and sobbing about

Stuck in this place forever

Never to be free

The outside world you'll never see

Your neck is constricting

Wheezing and out of breath

The end is coming soon

Closer and closer to your final death

Cold tears from your eyes

Your skin turning blue

You feel like passing out and dying too

You scream once more

Hoping that someone would hear

Run from their spot and dry away your tear

Save you from your torment

Save you from your final end

Save you from ending up in a place where this will likely send

One last scream

One last gasp of breath

One last everything

One last final death

~~~~~
A Friend
"When I find myself fading, I close my eyes and realize my friends are my energy." -Anon.
A friend is always there to hold you when you’re down
A friend is always there to wipe away your frown
A friend is always there to dry away your tear
A friend is always there to wipe away your fear
A friend is always there to help you when you need
A friend is always there to do every good deed
A friend is always there supporting you to no end
A friend is always there to love you and only love will they send
A friend is always there to help you when you fall
A friend is always there to stand up for you firm and tall
A friend is always there to offer their shoulder to cry
A friend is always there to help you by and by
A friend will always be counted on
To care for you everyday
A friend is always your family
A friend will always make sure that you’re okay
A friend is by your side
Their hands to your tide
Their touch, the tips of their fingertips always soft and warm
Always there to protect you from any kind of harm
Their hands on your shoulder and all
A friend will always be there
To cherish you
And be that comforting wall
Lean on them
Let them hold you close
Let them be that person who you can count on the most
Let them come to your doorstep early in the morn
Let them cradle you in their arms when all you feel is torn
Let them, let them be that place
The place you feel most loved...and cherished...in so many different ways
-Renee-:flower
I should have….
I should have told you that I loved you when I had the chance
Held you close in my arms when we had that last dance
I should have taken more pictures of us together, framed them one by one
Kissed every speck of freckle on your face is what I should have done
I should have talked to you more day after day
I should have taken more time to figure out what to say
I should have let my kiss linger just a bit more
I should have taken every word you uttered right to the core
I need you in my life right now; I need your warm touch
I need to feel you warm and comforting embrace and firm and loving clutch
I want to look deep into your eyes like I always did before
Like I loved to do every single day before I became so sore
I should have taken your image in, memorized each feature in my mind
I should have mapped out your face with my hands and stroked each crease that I find
I should have kissed each cheek, my hands cupping your face
Caress your soft hair like soft and silky lace
I should have made you a hot breakfast every morning time
Bring you bacon and eggs with just a touch of your favorite white and sparkling wine
I should have licked the tips of your fingers off when you touched that plate of food
I should have comforted you more when you weren’t in the greatest mood
I should have carried you off to the sunset that day long ago
I should have buried my hands in your hair and kissed you like so
I should have dried away your tear when you were feeling sad, kissed away each drop
Traced your cheek with my thumb from bottom to top
I should have touched you everywhere, felt your body close
I shouldn’t have held back when I wanted you the most
I never should have bit my tongue when I longed to tell you my love
That you were the greatest person I ever knew and you were my shining dove
A New Life
~~~~

A precious baby from its mother’s tender womb

Dazed and shining orbs gleaming bright

A first gasp of breath and sight of scene

A first sparkle of clear and glittering light

Little eyes flickering in the brightness of the new world

Amazed and thunderstruck gaze wide and lit

Surroundings around her strange and new

Inquisitive stare at her parents side where they now sit

A small hand wraps around a father’s finger

Grasping and clutching tight

A small sound of a mother’s joyful laughter

And a father’s teary eyes trying to hold back with all his might

A single tear from a grandmothers eyelids, slowly trickling down

A fascinated and blissful gaze from and older brother sound

A new being in this world is now here, breathing new life in those of old

A new life of innocence in humankind is now here

A new life with a heart of gold

Our Wedding Day

~~~~
I never thought I’d be here
That I’d be standing in front of you this day
I never thought this time would ever come
I can’t even think of any words to say
All I can tell you is that I love you
I love you so damn much
I can’t imagine myself without you
I can’t imagine myself without your tender touch
The happiness inside me overwhelming
My heart is so achingly full of cheery bliss
Full of love for you and love for us
And love for every single day we have together that we will never miss
I’m standing across from you, my girl
We’ve finally been given this chance
We’ve finally been able to show our love to the world
We’ve finally have a reason to laugh and dance
The chance to show the world our love
The chance to show the world that we are
The chance the show the world that love is love
No matter who you are
I see the tears in your eyes as I look at you
Your chocolate orbs so full of joy
I feel the tears in my eyes as you look at me
I’m about to break down right now, oh boy
Your dress is so beautiful
You look like a shining angel from above
I see the light around you as luminous as can be
I see now why I want to be with you forever, my love
This doesn’t feel like a sin
This doesn’t feel like it’s wrong
All I know is that I love you
And that I want to be with you until our final song
~~~~~

Spreading Wings

Spreading wings across the midnight ocean

Flying swiftly in the breeze

Deep sea gust across downy feathers

Soaring through the tranquil trees

Squally draft of chilly air

The full bright moon across the sky

Brilliant dashes of luminous stars

Soaring by and by

Through the dark corners of the heavens

Airborne in the darkened skies

Moist and damp from the drizzling rain

Dripping through the lows and highs

Gentle squawk from a low trimmed beak

Calling to one of its own

Harmonious screech echoing through the dusk

Lost and wholly alone

Strong-willed and stalwart through and through

Strapping wings swaying up and down

And down and up again just once more

But still there is nothing to be found

Towering over the city lights

Flapping its way across the hefty sea

Cascading overhead the Statue of Liberty

Valiant and striking

Wings outstretched from up above

Flying in persistence, higher and higher

Is a pallid and ashen colored dove

~~~
