What can I say, baby? You are so incredibly talented. :bow I didn't even get a chance to leave you feedback before you posted another one. You are such a good writer. Have you considered doing a book? :wink I can't wait to read your next poems. I know they will be just as wonderful as the ones you've already posted. I love you, Tara. :heart

Fake

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Why can't you be true?

You have no idea what you do to me

You need to either love me or let me be

The way you act is fake as hell

Everyday I hate more and more that I fell

You say you love me but I don't think you know what that is

Actions speak louder than words miss

Your actions tell me all I need to know

You're so good at letting it show

I finally figured out the real you

That what you say is so not true

You don't have a clue what real love is

Your love hits me in the face like a fist

Knocks me on my ass everytime I turn around

I'm finished playing these games with you

No more me looking like a fool

I'm getting up, head held high

Next time you "punch" me, I'm not gonna cry

It's done, we might as well be through

I'm putting an end to you

No more tears rolling down my face

Cause next time, I'm gonna win this race

You just keep coming up with all these really amazing poems, that I'm sure so many people can relate to. I love the emotion that you capture in your poems, it's so raw and real. :sob I am awed by your talent. :bow I love you, Tara. :heart

New poem everyone.

Hands caressing

In the dark

Succumb to me

Give all your heart

Let the desire

That you feel

No longer fantasy

Made into something real

Kisses that taste so sweet

Thrusting

Merging

My heartbeat

Quickens

As your body sighs

Melting into you

Your beautiful eyes

Conveys a thousand words to me

Your passion

Wild

Let loose

Completley set free

Wow, again another two great poems :clap

It's kind of cool, you know, to read Tara's poem which is dark and great to read, but it is a darker, gloomier point of view... and then there comes Sam's poem and.. tadaaa... the world smiles again :)

I really liked the poems of the both of you, thanks Tara, thanks Sam :wave

I haven't read through this entire thread, but will when I get some time. Sam one of your poems made my breath catch in my throat as it hit very close to home. Thank you for it.

Quote:
Hush

Be quiet

Don't say a word

These thoughts and feelings

Should not be spoken

Friendship which was once good

The bonds I hope

I have not broken

I don't write poetry much, but lately I've found it to be very helpful. This was this morning's effort which I offer with thanks to Cicca and skittles.

I’ve lived my life on this island,

Within the walls of its maze.

I know each cold, uncaring brick like the cells of my own skin.

The dark and twisted paths mirror a deeper darkness.

Dedalus? Who’s Dedalus?

There nobody named Dedalus here.

I’m the only one in the labyrinth.

Well, me and the monster, but the monster is me, too.

The escape routes have always been apparent.

One is an option, one I hope will never be.

Freedom, darkness or limbo.

The choice is mine to make or not.

There's a world beyond this place of shadow.

The wind whispers the way out.

The walls are so familiar, but they are not home.

I’ve never been home.

There are feathers from the birds and wax from the bees.

But I don’t need them.

There’s a pair of wings just my size, my color even,

If only I'm willing to try them.

Below, the endless icy ocean.

Above, the burning sun in the sky.

Balance, balance, balance.

Keep to the middle course.

Shit, I got careless and flew too close to the sun.

Or maybe too close to the daughter.

She looks like a boy, but she’s not

And she’s melted me.

Feathers drop into the frigid waves

And my arms are getting wicked tired.

The water shouldn’t look so inviting,

But it does. It does.

The vast water is broken by a tiny scrap of land.

A tiny rest stop on this aerial road.

An island made of interns and family and caring kittens.

Under a sheltering tree, I can rest until I am ready to take flight again.

New Poem everyone :)

Slowly I succumb to slumber

Drift away

Where dreamers dare

To a land I often wonder

In your arms

My soul lare bare

For I give myself to you

Completley

Totally

For my love is true

New Poem everyone.

A solace

A comfort

Is something I seek

My head lay upon your breast

Listening to your steady heartbeat

Quicken

As I reach for you

Eyes of brown

I give to you

All these feelings I've longed to share

To feel your love

To take you there

On the edge

A world of bliss

To seal my love

With a kiss

New Poem everyone.

Winter comes all to soon

Long cold days

Waxing moon

Stars appear

Your eyes on mine

My gaze transfixed

Your beauty shines

Whispered promises

From luscious lips

Nights of passion

Days of bliss

Kisses sweet

Rain upon my skin

My desire for you

Where shall I begin
