Hey everyone!
Anna: Aw, thank you

I didn't go to school, I learnt to use paint shop pro and later photoshop all by myself, with lots of tutorials, hours upon hours of practice, tons of trials and errors and a lot of frustration

But it was definitely worth it!
Emms: thank you so much, Emms

I have a friend who's really fond of hamsters, in fact the blog we have together with a couple of other friends is called Hamstersforever (in italian, of course)

that's why I drew the lil sweeties up here.
Auntie Barb: thanks Barb, I hope I won't fail with the next ones either, then!
Del: Yes, teleggvision, I know

and I'm even planning to make "Tel
eggphone!

The critter is supposed to be a hamster, but the first one is more like a cross with a rat (see the tail? totally not hamster-like!) and in fact, the name of the file was "critter1"... you were right on it
About the fist one... heh, I still look at it and think "wow, I did that!", even if the more I look at it now, the more mistakes I spot

Being the first one I colorized, a lot of it was me guessing as I went... I basically laid down the midtones colors, and dodged and burned the shadows and the highlights. See the shoulderplates, for example? They were a medium gray, and they became all shiny thanks to the magic of photoshop.
SJ: thank you very much!
Question: I don't have them on my laptop and my pc is out of commission for now (I'm hoping to rectify this soon!) but if anyone is interested I could post some screen grabs of the work in progress - I keep various copies of the drawings at various stages of developement, just in case of major screw-ups

What do you think?
Now, since the egg was a bit of a cop out

here's a new drawing: I made this one when I was very young, as you probably can see from the patches of grass and the tree

The ears are not dragon-like because I copied this from a book I had with a story where this dragon was being teased because of his big floppy ears, so those of you that have seen a dragon and think that this one is unrealistic, this is my excuse!

Colored version: (click for full size)
And a detail of the eyes, because I like how they turned out:
I hope you like it!
