Well, there are some awesome poetry writers, and all the poems are so powerful! I love it.



So here is my poetry thread. I hope you all enjoy!



Oh and another note, these poems were written based on my mood at the time. Some of them are cryptic and just, blank. But it helps me, and I know that's what poetry writers have in common, they write from the very heart and soul.



Here's my first one. I wrote this earlier today:

It’s Been So Long

It’s been so long since I’ve felt you

Seeking vengeance beneath the surface

You know just where to go, to give me that push

You’ll never know how much I did not miss you



Your voice sounds like it’s yearning to be heard

Your presence haunts every inch of my soul

I can’t deny you anything, even though I wish too

You won’t listen to me, so how can I be free?



You’re screaming so loud, it deafens my senses

You’re blinding me with every caress

I shiver when I feel you linger within

There’s not much left, for you’ve left me empty



Emotionless



And the only whisper you tell me:

“You’re not alone.”

Hello First of all, thank you kiwi, sammi, SJ, April, Yvonne, BV and all of you who have read. I used to write poetry all the time, so I'm sure if I can find my book full of it, I'll be able to post more - if you're interested that is.



This one is one I wrote about a year or so go. It's hung up in my Aunt's living room with my last school picture and my Junior Kindergarden picture next to it.

Little Girl



Go on little girl, dry your eyes

Sleep little girl, kiss goodnight

Don’t be ashamed of who you are

Go for a walk, but don’t stray far



Come back little girl, give us a smile

Walk here little girl, stay awhile

Tell us you’ve made mistakes

We’re not condemning you for Heaven’s sake



Lift your head high like you belong

Life isn’t abandoning you for your wrongs

The only punishment little girl is you

Learn from yourself, teach us what to do



Let us be there, open your heart

Don’t let the real-life nightmares start

Teach us to keep you forever strong

Let us wish your fears gone



Go on little girl, go on and cry

We know what’s eating you inside

Lay your head upon my soul

Just say the word, we’ll let you go



But for now little girl

You’re vulnerable to the world

So close your eyes, and dream free

‘Cause I’m all you feel, I’m all you see

After all, you are me.
