It's about a 16 year old girl, Agnes, who's living in a town called Amal. She has been living there for 2 years and she basically has no friends and has a hard time in school. She also happens to be in love with Elin, one of the most popular girls of her school.
If any of this threatens to sound like a teenage cliche movie, well, it's not. I think we all remember what high school could be like, or feel like, and if you don't, you will remember when you see this movie. I know a lot of Kittens are going through high school as we speak and I am sure a lot of you can recognize what Agnes is going through only too well. It isn't a depressing movie, but for Agnes things are starting to feel pretty hopeless and her seemingly hopeless unrequited love for Elin makes things all the more difficult to bear. Ah, I really remember those feelings. Even now, when I am a relatively old fart (32), this movie felt like home. It was fun remembering and recognizing myself in Agnes. The movie does a superb job at portraying teenage trials and tribulations, but it also does a very great job at portraying a positive gay story. It's definitely a must see, or a must see again.
