No, this is a tragedy. Terrible things happen and what makes them even more terrible is that they seem inevitable. Like what happens at the start of the movie kicks a few pebbles down and from there, the rest is just a gradual descent into avalanche.
Jennifer Connelly gives the best performance I have seen her give since Waking the Dead, and Ben Kingsley is also incredible.
