I was in charge of the bar last night. It was my first time. Surprisingly, nothing burned down and no one died. Quite the opposite, in fact. I owned that place. Made excellent recommendations, handled all the business, got to order the owner around and make him do work.

Lesson of the night: Be confident; if you act like you know what you're talking about, very few people will question you.

My 14 year old nephew!

He got an assignment in class to write an essay on 'where I want to be in ten years.' He refused, stating that he seriously had no idea. The school was up in arms and called my sister with a lecture on how 'defiance was not tolerated' and that he 'needs to have goals.' She laughed and told them to expect her youngest son in the same position a couple years if given the same assignment. She told them to just give him the 'F' and move on, it wasn't that big of a deal.

So yesterday she texts me and says that he actually ended up writing the essay and turning it in late. It turns out her wrote two pages on how his lifelong dream was to be a porn director! :rofl :lmao ROCK ON NEPHEW!! ROCK ON!

ER is so good. I remember I picked up the entire 15 series box set for 60 bucks on amazon about a year and a half ago, one of the best bargains of my life

OT: I got to sleep in a little today since I'm going to the doctor instead of school

Wow, that's awesome! I wasn't impressed with the pilot episode, but I kept watching cause one of my favourite actresses is in season 4; now I'm halfway through season 1 and completely addicted!

Someone who loves me!

Just screwed up something at work . . . felt terrible. Then a meeting fell through, suddenly felt this flash of fear. Not rational, but just poured out my feelings to Kate she listened, just listened, let me get it all out.

Then I was able to say, "What can I do right?" and keep working for some wins.

Her love and listening made all the difference! :love :flower :love

They daycare I just started training at! I'm not sure I can afford to stay because it's only a substitute position, but I love it there. The staff is so tuned into the kids, it's wonderful. And they're very welcoming; I think I could really fit there.

My cubicle neighbor Sandra - she is HILARIOUS and actually enjoys my bizarre sense of humor, too.

We snigger, smirk, and speak cynically and support each other a lot - how cool is that to find someone so great at work! :grin

Going on walks with my little brother. I don't get to see him that much and he is getting older, but when we take walks he still tells me everything about his life and I'm glad because I thought at the age of 17 he wouldn't want his older sister to know anything, but instead he always comes to me and tells me his problems and asks for advice :)

Tomorrow I should finally be able to finish the paperwork I've been doing since Tuesday, and I'll get to be in a classroom for a couple hours at least. *Not* doing paperwork rocks!

The weather here has been dreadfull the last couple of months. A lot of rain and cold wind. But today, out of the blue, it's 28 °C and the sun is shining. So it's way too good to stay inside and to even think about doing something slightly productive. So I'm out to read a book outside, in the sun. Yippee!

Fostering kittens! They were tiny things, my wife fed them around the clock (nearly wrecked herself in the process) and I got to give them their medicine. My practice the day before hadn't gone well, but when the real deal came I got to hold each one. Pet the little orange one, the gray one, and the black one and got to feel those little lives, got to warm them and hear them purr. And the Medicine was GREAT - I felt like the awesome bringer of life and health!

Ooo, awesome! Dopplegangland is one of my favourites. Tonight I started rewatching from the beginning, and I'm on The Harvest now :)

I just found out yesterday that we can reserve moviestands by writing our names on the back. So when the movie stops screening you can own them. So when The Amazing Spiderman stops screening I have a 6 ' Spiderman in my bedroom.

Coming home after being away. No matter how good the trip, it feels nice to be in my own space again.
