Two weeks ago, my sister suggested that we have Sunday morning phone coffee each week to keep in touch; I heartily agreed, and she said I could call whenever and she'd answer, cause even if she was in bed she sleeps with her phone. Trying to be nice cause I know she sleeps in, last Sunday I called her at 11am; no answer, so I left a message. It's been 6 days and I haven't heard a word from her. I was looking forward to weekly phonecalls, and they were her idea, but as so often happens with her she's fallen through. Sucky :(

It sucks not having enough time for everything I want to do... 3 of my cousins are having babies soon (2 in March, one just next month), and last night I was thinking about how nice it would be to make a baby blanket for the one whose due in October, especially since her birthday's around the same time, and it's her first kid, but then I thought... I'm still finishing my dad's purse, I haven't even started my sister's pillow, I'm less than halfway done with my friends' blanket, and I have about a dozen other presents I want to make for people between now and Christmas. There's just no time!!

Once again I say, Congress.

My wife now gets to work for FREE while these guys sit around trying to cock block health care. Yea, that's right, she still has to work because she is considered "essential personnel." I don't remember which Congressman it was, but yesterday he said, "They should be happy to have a paid vacation." Really? Because there is a good chance pay will not be retroactive and then what? Douche bags.

I truly do love and respect myself enough not to put myself in certain situations. Sometimes though I let myself down. I took the heat to protect someone else and now I wait and see if I will still be employed. I haven't known stress for quite sometime until recently. The person I did this for has no idea. I have this protective instinct for certain people that I am willing to throw myself on top of the grenade. Good quality yes, but there are times when I shouldn't be that way.

Having to wear heels (specifically ones that don't fit well and hurt) for 2.5 hours, standing and walking most of the time. All because my stupid choir robes are too long...

Tony Romo.

I don't give a shit if you throw for 506 yards and 5 touchdowns if you then throw an interception into double-coverage late in the 4th with the game tied.

You know what? Fuck closets.

So, I'm Facebook friends with my high school girlfriend's mom (important fact: said ex-girlfriend is straight). Last night, she posted about how her sister has a house for rent, and I made a comment about how I wished I was looking for housing in the area, because I've never gotten to use "I dated your niece" as a reference before. I didn't even think about it--I've been out since I was 16. And said ex's mom liked my comment, and everything was all hunky dory.

Until this morning, when I see that my ex's aunt has also commented. Now, the comment was perfectly friendly and innocuous. But I suddenly remembered that my ex, to my knowledge, never told her extended family that she ever dated a girl. She certainly never told her father (who lived 1000 miles away, which is how the mom knew and the dad didn't). So now I'm worried that I may have just outted a decade-old relationship to my straight, married ex-girlfriend's maternal family (the paternal family would have been worse).

Which just fits with today's theme of "fear I've just complicated the lives of people who used to love me."

Oh, and I'm sick, as is my fiance; based on his progression, I won't be back on my feet until the weekend.

Fuck.

I have too many Bad Girls feels and no one to share them with! I can't even yell at the show cause my roommate's around. I need someone to rant to but no one I know has ever seen it, except my best friend who grudgingly watched an episode or two with me :( I'm spoiled! I'm used to loving shows that my online and/or in-person friends will talk with me about!

Going all Howard Dean to the nth degree when I am self righteously angry. I act like a spastic meth addict (redundant? probably...), spittle flies and I generally come across as a lunatic instead of the *ahem* incredibly intelligent, morally upright person that I am.

AAAhhhhhaaaaHHAhhhh!!!!....

Of course, give me 10 minutes and I have devastatingly witty, biting remarks that I should've said....

sigh

Ug. My Brother in Law posted one of those "There's nothing wrong with requiring ID to vote" "click if you agree" on Facebook. So Ug. But also it's not just that someone posts that. It's the posting says to people "I agree with this. I know what you think of me and I'm ok with that."

I don't know. I guess that's true for anything you post on FB but it's always a little shocking when my relatives post stuff like that.

Having a head cold with a dripping nose, sore throat, explosive sneezing and coughs. Why do I never appreciate both nostrils breathing at the same time until they aren't?
