It's not exactly advice, but it's my stepmom's favorite saying and it is useful to remember at times:
You are the master of your own ship.
"To days to come."
"All my love to long ago.

I hope, we'll have more happy ever after
I hope, we can all live more fearlessly...

Have a little blind faith that this is a lovingly responsive Universe and that there are unseen powers that are willing to do anything for you to help you achieve your divine life mission. You only need to Ask. And it is Given.

When you have kids, make sure that your house is the go to; the popular place to hang out. That way you always know where they are, what they're doing and who they're with. Hands down the BEST parenting advice I've ever received.

You can either have what you want or the reason why you don't have it.

Days like today, I want to wear a T-shirt that says that and stop having to listen to my wife complain about her weight and about not being able to work out.

Do any task that takes under a minute. So if you see your shoes and don't want to go put them away, ask yourself if it will take more than a minute. if not, go put them in your closet. Any task. Put your dishes in the dishwasher, put away your clothes, reshelf the book. Whatever.

Hi Deb,

LOVED that advice and have been following it. Mostly. Kind of. Well, there HAS been improvement!!! :blush

Here's one thing that helps me when I feel overwhelmed by a chore like doing dishes (and I'm the dishwasher, no mechanical aid!) or cleaning a room. I'll set the timer for 10 or 15 minutes and give myself permission to do my best for that short amount of time and then stop. First I look over the room, figure out things I can do, then hit the "start" button on the timer and go for it. I am always amazed by the amount of stuff I get done in a short, focused burst of energy AND it often inspires me to do a few more things or another 10 minutes. Bottom line, a lot gets done.
