Okay, I'm sorry this is going to be a vent post. Just ignore me I just had to write about this somewhere!! Today was the first time i have ever tried talking to my dad and he blows me off! (background info) I am in college and I take care of my grandmother as well and we are in a hard place and I needed a couple hundred $ for my deposit on my school. (back to rant) I tried to call my dad to see if he would help me out and he gave me the cold shoulder. I have never asked for anything and I hated to call now but I saw no other choice! I just hate that people can be so callose. Again I'm sorry u can just ignore me if u wish.

Not a native and far, farrr fron fluent
And my English is pretty good so I would probably not be much of a help.
(my native language is Dutch, my second language is English, followed by a bit of German and some basic French.)

Alright Can't blame you though. I read once, that German (even for someone speaking Dutch) is one of the hardest languages to learn and believe me, sometimes it doesn't even make any sense to us Germans. I find myself telling my teacher in my German course something like "What the hell, this looks wrong, makes no sense and will be changed by some dumb ass reform in a year from now again anyway!"... Best thing about it, that she thinks the same.

My colleague studied Dutch and kept translating things for me, just for fun. It's a shame though, that I don't speak one word Dutch, since it's not even an hour from here to the Netherlands... Also never learned French. I was stuck with Latin at school and English as my first major of course.

Anyone else here with an advanced qualification in Latin? *needed to show off bad Latin skills once again*
