Being four years old and having complete freedom. My mom didn't work, and when I'd get up, my dad would already be gone to work, but my mom and sister were both still asleep, so I'd dress myself, and pour me some cereal, usually Rice Krispies which I would then saturate with so much sugar, that when the cereal was gone, I'd scrape the sugar off the bottom of the bowl and eat it.

Then I'd go outside to my backyard, play with my beagle Polly, and swing on my swingset, and sing songs that I'd make up off the top of my head. Sometimes, I'd climb the mulberry tree next to my playhouse, and lay on the roof of my playhouse and eat mulberries straight from the tree and daydream as I'd watch the clouds change shapes, and make stories in my head.
Then later when my sister woke up, we'd play. And most days my mom had friends come over with their children, and we'd play all afternoon. Oh, those were the days. No stress, no school, no work, no worries.
