Well, he ended up being late and Mrs. McFine was the one who let him in, so he could have had boobs. I really don't know.

What I'm doing now - working a bit on my new fic, but thinking I'm going to throw in the towel and go read Harry Potter.

I'm watching Prairie Dawn and Cookie Monster argue about whether or not, the letter Q is a cookie, or the letter of the day... and at the same time wondering why I'm sitting home alone watching Sesame Street in the first place. Also...I'm trying to work on a writing project I've been meaning to complete, but finding that everything I write sounds like crap this morning.

Oh tell me about it! I have four writing projects I'm working on (Kitten Race, Lamplight plus 2 new projects) but I'm finding myself inexplicably inspired and now I'm working on a fifth one! I'm feeling I'm stretched a little thin, although the idea of being thinner is rather appealing, so I'm also considering whether to join my gf in yoga tomorrow. It's almost 1am and I'm also feeling guilty cos I've been so focused on writing that I've forgotten to call her tonight.

Good grief sweetie, you're getting to be as bad as I am... :lol

Okay...so in the spirit of keeping things on topic...I am now getting ready to venture out into the wide open world, take in some fresh air and the exercise that goes along with such an outing whilst all the time enjoying the general merriment that comes when one communes in such a way with nature. (wow...that was longwinded...all that to say...I'm going to walk down the street to the store and get myself an IcePop :lol )

It's the first time I've posted on this thread, so I'd like to say 'hello' to people first :wave

I'm currently reading & reviewing fics, but knowing I ought to be drafting my own fic, or it will never get beyond being a pile of notes! I'm also considering what to have for dinner (its just gone 6pm my time). I think I should also be pegging out some washing, as the machine seems to have gone silent! I'd better go check on that I think!

bye for now :)

I'm sitting alone in the office--everyone else is out to lunch--doing system maintenance on everyone's computers. It seems I am the only one who knows that it's necessary to...oh...clean out the temporary file now and then...periodically defragment the hard drive...make sure anti-virus and anti-spyware checks are run regularly.

So, I've been put in charge (for the day) of replacing the president's computer...which blew up on him today, despite it being the newest unit in the office. His solution to having an error on his computer? Unplug it. Not shut it down. Not restart it and boot up in safe mode. No...UNPLUG IT! And they wonder why I'm the only person in the office who doesn't have computer problems.

OH! And the VP...while trying to determine what was wrong with said computer, kept mumbling about "not getting a signal." What was he talking about? Whenever the computer was in the process of trying to reboot, the MONITOR said "no signal"...because, HELLO! there was no POWER for the few seconds the computer was shutting down so that it could restart!!!!!

I'm underpaid.

I'm playing Literati on Yahoo with a friend and chattin' it up with another friend on the phone. I'm really bored and comtemplative at the moment as well.

I'm putting in my vote for Sunflowers, beta reading a fic (*wink*) and chatting with watson...all the while wondering when my muse is going to get her ass off the couch, put the bon-bons away, turn off the TV, and inspire my ass to write the next chapter of Coming Back.

I want to add my vote for Sunflowers. I just said goodnight to Car (strange, being 13 time zones apart, we learn to adjust) and I'm off to bed and snuggles with my gf, cos it's the weekend so we get to see each other. Looking forward to waking up in the morning and seeing how cute she is, it'll make me melt, even after all these years.

(Now, feel free to either go "awwwwwwww" or look for a nearby dentist.)

I just got home from the 4-day folk festival in upstate NY that I went to this weekend - during which we camped in a tent - and now, post-shower, I am enjoying the sensation of being clean and inside an actual permanent structure with air conditioning.

ETA: Oh yeah - and read the final update on Survivor - Ash Island.

You guys too? I've got to work on RSR and Adrienne, plus my book, and I've got... four more fanfics in the works.

And I'm utterly uninspired. My muse is on vacation in California, the lucky bitch. I hope she shows me pictures!

Currently I'm sitting here being depressed and listening to Strawberry Gashes (see signature). Also, I'm attempting to figure out how to teleport food from the grocery store to here, because there's none in the kitchen and I'm incredibly lazy.

That sounds like a lot of work sweetie. :-D But since it involves more wonderful fics...I'd like to say that I support the continuation of such endevors.

Okay...it's 8:07 in the morning here in the great northwest...and my tummy is feeling a little rummbly...I'm thinking about what I want to have for breakfast...it's a toss-up between chocolate brownies and oatmeal...I think I'm going to chose the oatmeal though....

also, I'm going to try to get some writting done on Sunflowers today....it's been squirling around in my brain for the last couple days and I feel acomplishment on the horizon.

So........that's it for now. (I'll be sure to keep you all posted on the oatmeal situation...cause right now, it could really go either way. ) :lol

C'mon Emms, I'm dying here - oatmeal or brownies?

I was just outside snipping and hacking branches off the extremely large tree that fell into my front yard this weekend while I was away. It grazed the roof, but caused only cosmetic damage, thank goodness. But anyway, there's this huge tree in the front yard.

I'm going to head out now to Target to buy some loppers and maybe a chainsaw. I've always wanted a chainsaw and this is the perfect excuse to buy one.
