i dated a girl we all call "wellesley" (because that's where she was an undergrad when we met) for about a year from the middle of my first year of law school until the middle of my second year (plus a brief rekindling this past winter in my third year). now, when i describe this relationship, it's hard not to focus on the many red flags that are raised by the following: 1) she was five years my junior, 2) she had a boyfriend (but had permission to date women), 3) she'd never been with a girl before, 4) she was wicked catholic, and 5) she was in the army national guard reserves. however, she was also 1) one of the kindest, most compassionate people i've ever known, 2) insanely beautiful with a body that would not quit, 3) completely uninhibited sexually, 4) spontaneous and fun to be with, and 5) totally into me for some strange reason. so we had fun. it started out as just a no-strings, casual sort of thing, but we became good friends (with benefits, obviously) and she eventually left her boyfriend and declared herself a big lesbo. we never tried having a real relationship, but that's mostly because we were smart enough to recognize that we were just too different and wanted different things, and were content to just enjoy what we did have and not ruin it by trying to make it something it wasn't. we're still good friends and i can say it was a truly fun and enlightening period of my life - made me deal with all sorts of my issues regarding religion and the military and i think i came out the better for it. so, there you have it, one no-strings fling that was honest and respectful and averted disaster.
tell us about an encounter you had with some sort of celebrity/idol/hero in which you acted like an absolute spaz.
