Best place I ever traveled to was Indiana. Took a bus there from Philly to see my girlfriend, and it was the greatest trip I've ever had...Came home New Years Day 2006. I had never traveled before except to the Jersey shore but that trip showed me that traveling isn't scary, its fun.

My childhood friend. She lived her life to the full and enjoyed every moment given to her.

Do you have any strange superstitions?

A. I have tons of superstitions! Wow, what a funny question. I mean there's the standard don't walk under ladders and stuff like that but I also have don't put a hat on the bed and raise your hands when you drive over traintracks (or touch metal) and don't pick up face-down pennies (I once did and hit my eyelid on something and popped out a contact and it broke) and all the baseball ones: don't step on the base lines when leaving or entering the field and lots of others. Or a BtVS one: never say "nothing can go wrong now..."

Q. What is the most influential book you've ever read?[/b]

Any song that is really over played. Currently its "Bad Day". It seems to become a bad day when I hear it now.

Where is your favorite place you go to relax and think?

Yes, but only because I am gorgeous, smart, successful and am quite happy to greet everyone and say 'why yes I am a great big dyke!'

Katherine Hepburn - she just has this thing about her, I can't quite describe it. Glamour, class, beauty, with a healthy dose of independence and "fuck you." It's irresistable.

i work for my state's civil rights enforcement agency. i represent individuals who have filed discrimination suits against their employers and landlords, or places of public accomodation (though most of my caseload is employment). i love the work and making a difference in the lives of people who have been so dramatically affected by discrimination, but beause i work for the state there's a certain amount of bureaucratic inefficiency that drives me crazy. so my plan is to try to last at least five years before heading into the private sector to practice employment law.

do you actually use your degree or work in a completely unrelated field?

A: Freshly mown grass. During my childhood, until I moved to Newcastle to study, my folks and I lived in the park that my dad works in, and whenever he and the guys were mowing the grass in the park it would always get through my bedroom window when I was at home...happy memories.

Q: If you were granted a question that would be answered by whatever all knowing thing that is out there (this can be any question that you've always wanted answered), what question would you ask??

Love at first sight - well kind of. I believe that you kind of prove to yourself that a person is the one you love over and over again, in small instances and in larger contexts. One of those ways might be the first time you saw someone... but not always.

To actually have self confidence. I really am down on myslef to much and blame myself for things that were never in my control.

Hmm I read through some of these and all I can think that I didn't read asked was:

Dating my ex. If I would have known it would end terribly with me getting my heart ripped out therefore making me paranoid and constantly worried in my relationship now with my current gf, I wouldnt have even bothered.

*sigh* Being with my Grandma, playing cards and Aunty Joan at her big table with the green chenille tablecloth. Grandma used to cackle like a witch when she won - she was soooo competitive. I loved my Grandma a massive amount and still miss her hugely, 18 years after I lost her.

Did you ever have a deja vu moment? If so, describe it.

Well I am not sure if this applies - because it turns out it actually happened but I'll tell it anyway (even though it will be long and possibly boring, because none of you know these people).

So, just last night I was out with friends (eating sushi and watching the new Al Gore film) and it turned to anecdotes, as friend conversations often do... I was repeating an anecdote about a funny situation regarding girlfriend jealousy to my good friend Megan. I was describing how jealous my gf was of a particularly flirty woman (Jen). Said friend Megan then went on to describe her jealousy of a good friend of *hers* b/c she had dated Megan's now husband and was a big flirt. As we traded these anecdotes I went on to describe a going away party I went to w/ my gf for Jen - and how funny it was b/c Jen was dressed so outrageously (these thigh high white patent leather go go boots and this teeny tiny key hole mini dress ensemble)... and then we got in to the party and it turned out she had an identical twin (dressed identically) so my gf was doubly jealous. The party was very entertaining and had many stories including the twins doing this synchronized dance number (it was all very strange and amusing)... so the deja vu part is that as I described this party and the events, Megan started jumping in and... it turns out that not only was Megan at this party with her husband (it was several years before I met Megan), but *also* we were *both* talking about the same woman all along (ie Jen was the flirt that my gf was jealous of, and *also* Megan's friend who had dated her husband). It was very entertaining, and quite possibly more coincidence than deja vu, but there ya go.

... and onto a question that will not require quite as long a response :-D

What is your favorite flower and why?
