I got a call from an old friend tonight. It was nice to hear from her, even if we did mostly talk about tv.

I helped some of my favorite little boys draw choo-choo trains and helicopters today. The drawing were awful but it was a lot of fun making them :)

Glad to see you made it home safe and sound. It was really great meeting you. Jordan was out cold about 2 seconds after we left the restaurant, lol. I could barely get her into the house, but she woke up still grinning this morning and took her autographed stuff to school to show off. Let's hope it makes it home in one piece!!

Take Care!

Since TV and computer are rough on my head and reading strains my eyes and takes concentration I don't have, the girlfriend had an ingenious solution to my boredom: audiobooks! I'm putting my eye-mask on to lie back with some painkillers and enjoy "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter." Wheee!

BLAMOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am super super stoked!!!! :party :party :party Man I was getting my ass kicked in betting on NBA games. I was down $100. I was not happy especially since a lot of those games was easy money, but the Miami Heat were tripping. Well tonight I went double or nothing for the Heat and Dallas Mavericks to win and BLAMOOO! They did! I may have not won money tonight, but now I don't have to pay my boy Eric $100 either. Plus I get to shut his ass up since he was talking so much shit to me. I told you you can't mess with me son! This is just as sweet as the Superbowl victory I had. I told him he can have the small catch while I bring in the big fish baby!

I had a complicated but good day at work. I got to spend some quality time with both a girl I previously only knew by name and a boy who I took care of everyday when he was a baby. It was really nice :)

Oh, and I hopefully get to see my mom tomorrow for the first time in nearly a month.

I spent money I shouldn't have, but I got a bunch of books on sale which is always a great feeling. There's nothing quite like spending 3 hours in a bookstore, plus I talked to my best friend on the phone for an hour while I was shopping and she helped me pick which books to get which since I miss going to bookstores with her was really nice.
Plus, I started thinking about potential summer plans which I will almost certainly not follow through on but are really fun to think about :)

My sister is doing great, and hasn't had a migraine since her surgery. She's still recovering, but feels better than she has in about 4-5 years thanks to not being in pain the majority of her waking hours. She's still a grumpy, dramatic 17-year-old with mental and emotional problems, but she's not constantly hurting and I am so very thankful. I think she may really have a chance at a happy life now :)

thats great sweetie I am very happy for your sister and happy for you as well :)

my happy feelings thread its not something huge but I managed to just relax in bed this morning and after having bad leg cramps last night due to the gym my feet really needed the rest so I was grateful to not have to rush around :)

My girlfriend threw me a really amazing birthday party this past weekend. I've been essentially housebound for the past few weeks, so it was nice to have a house full of people and just power through the head stuff to have some fun with my friends. We decided to have a high-school themed party since I was feeling so sickly and old (beer pong, hooka, ridiculous amounts of junk food - EZ cheese, gushers and pizza with ranch? - and cheap beer and wine coolers; sadly, Zima is no longer in production) and given that I graduated from high school in 1996 it became a 90s themed high school party. So amazing. We had glow in the dark ceiling stars and lava lamps and Nirvana and 2Pac posters (or the Fallen Homies Corner as I called it). There were trivia questions and challenges in which participants were rewarded with pogs and the person with the most pogs won a bottle of booze and a lava lamp (the sight of twentysomething 30-somethings tearing up our house to find these challenges was hysterical). Plus, I got to whip out the ol' flannel and Doc Martens! I highly recommend such a party if you're feeling nostalgic. It definitely brought on some much needed happy.

We took ash to a neuro specialist today. He talked a lot of chemistry but the upside is he says he can help. We got two scrips and some vitamin creams and we made a follow up apointment for three months. He basically says that a year fromnow he will just be a normal genius.

Oh and then we drive across town and hewas perfect for a blood draw. We were at appointments or driving 8n hours including lunch and both kids were great.

I'm feeling so hopeful that this will help.

I had a really great day. I saw a beautiful hawk this morning (my guess is white-tailed, though they're not common around here), had a great day at work wherein we finished an awesome art project and one of my old babies learned my name, had a nice chat with my brit pea, ate a yummy dinner, watched Veronica Mars, and did some very necessary cleaning. Good good day all in all :)
