I'm about 2/3 way through The Golden Compass which I got for Christmas and I just got Misdiagnosis and Dual Diagnosis of Gifted Children and Adults.

'The Company of the Dead' by David Kowalski, an alternate futures book, basically events resulting from someone going back in time to try and stop the Titanic from sinking. Really good so far.

Well I haven't started reading it yet, but...

I went to Borders to get Ghosts of Albion:Witchery and they didn't have it...grrrrrrrrrrrrr...evil store!

But I bought a book called Bell, Book and Dyke stories about magical lesbians...I think it was an instant reaction because it made me think of W/T fanfic

Just picked up The Cleft by Doris Lessing at the library today but haven't started it yet...looks really cool though...about a lost tribe of women who live and reproduce without men

Although that title! Talk about Vaginal-reference making dyke!

Good luck with that, I had no patience with that book, I barely read 50 pages, got all WTF??!, and that was it. I guess I had a problem with the initial vision, but that may change later.

An update on Bell, Book and Dyke...started reading it last night...the first chapter had 2 count them 2 Buffy references and a witch named Tara...also plenty of sex so far

I finished the Golden Compass/Subtle Knife/Amber Spyglass so that puts my reading for 2008 up to about what I reached in 2007 (I did read Eragon and HP 7). Now I've started Hardcore Zen... which someone in the Meditation thread recommended and which I got for my birthday. I'm about 10 pages in but I like the writing style.
