I'm sorry that your friend's uncle died. They are both in my thoughts.

My second grade teacher (Who I am still in contact with) Has been battling cancer for 8 years. She's an amazing and strong person and is still teaching despite major pain. She is going into surgery soon (Again) even though it is only prolonging the inevitible. She is the nicest person and dosen't deserve anything that has happened to her. Any thoughts/prayers would be wonderful.

She's probably hate that I'm writing this, but Kessari is going through a really rough time right now and could use lots of good vibes. She had surgery last week and some of the aftermath is very bad. I know I'm not the only kitten who's been wishing her luck, but anything more would be appreciated (at least by me, and I hope her). I need her to be okay, so please send good thoughts.

Via Watty's update on FB: Car's in the hospital. She's been feeling crummy while in Florida, flew home and went to the ER and was finally admitted. She is feeling better but they're not sure what the problem is.

just wanted to ask for some prayers for my mom. she has a tumor in the parotid gland (saliva gland) and they aren't for sure if it is cancerous or not. she will have it removed on august 12th and they will know more about it.

My mom's surgery went well. She was in surgery and recovery for about 5 1/2 hours. And she was home the next day. The tumor was pretty large and they sent it to the labs to be tested. But the doctor said that it didn't seem like anything to worry about. She will find out more when she goes for a check-up next Thursday. Please pray for good news

I finally have another job interview tomorrow so please keep me in your thoughts! I quit my job back in July just because I felt I needed to grow. Probably not the smartest thing to do with the economy and jobs going to hell. I've only had one interview and well as you can see that didn't go well. I know I probably should have found another job before I up and left but I just felt like it was the right thing to do. So here I am still unemployed and running out of money. We all make mistakes let's hope moving on from a job I held for 6 years wasn't one of them. Keep me in your thoughts for tomorrow and pray that I get this job

There was a sexual assault in my house last night. It's a big enough deal to have called in State Police and a chemist from Boston who are investigating the living room. Kind and warm thoughts to the woman attacked, we don't know who she is yet, but kudos to her for reporting it. I can't imagine just how difficult things are for her right now. Sad that it is serving as a reminder that even at a really safe, inclusive, small town liberal arts woman college things can happen. Be safe, everyone.
