This is a bad one you guys. My Buffy Roleplay group has gone to hell tonight.

The guy who plays our Angel is 16, and his step-dad beat him to the point of hospitalization.
The girl playing our Darla is 14, and her dad beat her up pretty bad too.
The girl playing our Buffy, 17 is in an unhealthy relationship, and getting verbally abused by her mom
Our Tara, 16, is stuck doing all the hurricane repairs on her house by herself.
We've also had to report two different people due to suicide attempts tonight.

Please, pray for these kids an their situations, they're amazing, talented kids and they need your thoughts and prayers.

That is utterly tragic . . . but the idea of you guys hanging together and being there for each other, through the tough stuff, is wonderful and amazing and part of what love truly is.

Cant believe all of this going on in Israel at the moment, to think a few years ago I was in Tel Aviv my brother and I have friends there, honestly things like this wars, fighting, violence it really makes one question the integrity of humanity so many of us are such good people and yet all of this stuff is going on in the world.....

This is a bit of a long-y, but I want to give context!

My uncle was in a horse riding accident when he was 16 and he broke his back. His prognosis was likely quadriplegia but he fought hard and was able to walk out of the hospital two years later...he lived his life pretty normally up until the last 10 years. He's had about 20 serious spinal surgeries since but deteriorated to the point of needing a wheelchair and full-time carer since he lost total use of his hands.

He's not the kind to just give up, so he moved to Thailand in September so he could attend a specialist spinal rehabilitation unit and he's able to walk around the courtyard there now and he's regaining use of his hands which had been totally dead. It costs about $6500 for each month of rehab he has there, and he needs to stay until March 2013 and then return annually to keep in shape, so to speak. Our family are fundraising and organising bake sales and quiz nights etc to get as much as we can for him.

tl;dr: My uncle is going through some serious rehabilitation to walk again and we want to give him as much help as we can.

Good thoughts that the fundraising goes well and that he continues to improve would be so super-duperly appreciated!

Delean (aka my wife) is in the hospital all week with a impacted gallbladder that first reared it ugly head the morning of thanksgiving.
I would love if people would just say "hi" to her on FB or email. It's lonely in the hospital.

My friend Liz's husband is in hospital but they''ve closed it to visitors to prevent the spread of a sickness virus so she can't visit. They've been married for 40 years and they've never been apart for this long before. Please send good thoughts her way.

could we send some good thoughts and energy/prayers to the victims and the victims families of a so called white witch coven abuse scandal? They were 2 men who have been convicted of rape and other horrid things involving young girls one as young as 3 despite it happening in the 70's it has only come to light now. I hate this not only because of the evil nature of it but if gives Paganism a bad name again, alot of people think that Pagans are crazy naked people anyway- in england anyway and this does no good for us, these evil men claiming to be white pagans have tainted a very beautiful and peaceful religion as well as tainting lives.Real Pagans who follow the craft correctly know to never hurt anyone. I hate the justice system in this country we are far too soft on alot of things, these evil men deserve to rot.

My sister-in-law's grandmother has entered Hospice. She is 92 (turned 92 on NYE) and we saw her a few weeks ago. She is witty and lucid. But she has some complications and bowel obstructions and has stated and signed that she does not want any operations, any life saving measures, and if it is going to happen, wants to die. That will happen but we're not sure when. Please pray for her peaceful transition and please pray for her family.

Our best friends' uncle Dean has late stage pancreatic cancer and is being moved to M.D. Anderson. Please pray for him.

My friend´s doctors told him today that they are giving up on him. Cancer spread through his bone marrow and keeps on spreading. After the past 18 months of chemo therapy it´s just over now. The guy is just 32 and still had a whole life ahead of him, damnit! Everything is so incomprehensible sometimes. I just hope that he doesn´t have a lot of pain in the time he has left here.
