I can't bear the inevitable disappointment of watching Wimbledon, so I'm watching Greys Anatomy from last week...

ETA: Huh, turns out I wouldn't have been disappointed if I had watched. Maybe it's me? Maybe by watching, I jinx them... :paranoid Anyway, I'm watching Dr Who from Saturday now... There's a tiny part of me that wants to sing Honey To The Bee whenever Billie Piper shows up. :-D

My folks are staying with me this week, and they've got me watching "Shogun" on DVD.

Yeah, that'll make me forget my wife is still in Japan for another 77 days ...

The Olympics.

Those who know me know I don't like talking politics, but I'm going to say this anyway ... I deeply believe it's wrong that a country - a government - like China is hosting these games. It goes against everything these games are supposed to stand for, and in my mind is little different than Nazi Germany hosting the Berlin Olympics.

That said, you've got to give credit where credit is due. The Opening Ceremonies on earlier were the best I have EVER seen. At many points I was moved, moved to tears. Beautiful and stunning; words like that barely do it justice. There's a lot of things I don't like about China, but the people & culture on display tonight managed to brush all that aside.

The Parade of Nations is on now. I'm one of those that will sit and watch the whole thing each and every time. I love seeing the different people, the faces, the clothes, everything. THE WHOLE WORLD is marching down there, celebrating together. It's a great thing to see.

God, you got sucked in aswell!

Channel 5 are starting a celebrity airline thing soon with z-list celebs acting as cabin crew.

That might qualify.
