Getting to know you . . .

Postby Foomatic » Wed May 17, 2006 8:02 pm

Don't know if there's a thread like this already, but . . .

Post a question, i.e. If you could have one superpower what would be, or When was the last time you got laid? (you get the idea). The person who replies gets to post a new question, and so on and so forth. It's kinda similar to other threads here, but I thought it'd be a fun way to get to know everyone. Hence the "Getting to know you" title.

So I'll start:

What TV character are you most like?

Cool game Foo, and nice avatar(s). I honestly think I'm most like Paul Buchman from Mad About You.

Where were you born?
As one, they turn to the soda machine. It flies back into the door like a cannonball. Willow looks at it, at Tara. She doesn't let go of her hand.

That's easy. When I was 2 1/2 I got a pink bunny rabbit plushie for Easter The color reminded me of strawberry milk, so I named it Strawberry Bunny. The name stuck. More amazingly I remember getting it and opening it the package it was wrapped in.

What is your favorite food?

Lunch for me would be with Virginia Woolf, Albert Einstein, Erik Satie, Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carroll to the uninitiated), Douglas Adams, Thich Nhat Han, ee cummings and Nicole Kidman. Albert, Chas and Virginia would be discussing the absurdity of certainties, cummings would be jotting down whatever they say while Doug and Thich giggle incessently. Nicole and I - well that's our business, isn't it?

Yes. I know. I need help.

Certified band nerd. Clarinet in middle school, sax in high school, piano since second grade, and I can play 'Blackbird' on the guitar, and any other song that doesn't require too many bar chords.

A little over two years. I think we had the whole relationship thing going on without the phisical part...meaning we never kissed or had sex, mostly 'cause she was scared. Then one fine day things just exploded and we ended in bed together and it was awesome. The morning after, tho, she said we needed to talk and I was so scared that she was gonna tell me we had fucked things up that I went ahead and told her it wouldn't work out (yeah, I know...I have no intelligence whatsoever). She just looked at me with a sad face and said ok. I found out years later that she'd never panicked about it and actually wanted us to give it a try. Needless to say...I've never wanted to kill myself (so to speak) so badly.
Now she's married to a really cool guy, has 2 beautiful girls (which I got to name, but let's keep that from her hubby) we work together and still are best buddies. Things didn't turn out that bad in the end.

When did you fall in love for the first time?

Hmm... tricky question, being that I'm a guy, and my impressions of what looks good are mostly slanted towards all things female. But I suppose, my legs. The look okay, and they function pretty well as means of walking, which I enjoy.

What's really, really important?

Being four years old and having complete freedom. My mom didn't work, and when I'd get up, my dad would already be gone to work, but my mom and sister were both still asleep, so I'd dress myself, and pour me some cereal, usually Rice Krispies which I would then saturate with so much sugar, that when the cereal was gone, I'd scrape the sugar off the bottom of the bowl and eat it. :lol Then I'd go outside to my backyard, play with my beagle Polly, and swing on my swingset, and sing songs that I'd make up off the top of my head. Sometimes, I'd climb the mulberry tree next to my playhouse, and lay on the roof of my playhouse and eat mulberries straight from the tree and daydream as I'd watch the clouds change shapes, and make stories in my head.

Then later when my sister woke up, we'd play. And most days my mom had friends come over with their children, and we'd play all afternoon. Oh, those were the days. No stress, no school, no work, no worries.

What is the best job you have ever had?
