Hey everyone,

Well, first of all, Happy New Year.

Second of all, me and my brother's friend James (who is visiting from Richmond, VA - I live in Iceland btw) shot a few videos earlier right around midnight.

I thought maybe some of you would like to see how us Icelanders typically celebrate new years. James said he had never seen anything like it, and I thought maybe some of you hadn't either.

Well here are the videos: ftp.tinna.com/video/

reykjavik.avi, yardworks.avi and (if you have a broadband connection) good_71s.mpg give you a pretty good view how it's like. These videos only run for a few seconds each - in real life this goes on for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, right around midnight.

Note: in reykjavik.avi James shouts "welcome to downtown Reykjavik" but he's talking b.s., it's actually just my surrounding neighbors in Reykjavik.
