The 'Make a Wish' CHARITY Thread

Postby FantasticMissKitty » Fri Dec 12, 2003 6:26 am

Hi!

I hope it's ok to start this new thread, just delete it if it's not and i hope i've gone about it correctly!

The purpose of this thread is simple-You get to make a wish in return for a small donation to charity.

How it works:

Next time you see a charity box in a shop, pub, museum-whatever, or see someone shaking a collection tin-pop in a few dollars, pounds-whatever currency, then come here and post your wish! Just list the charity you gave to, then your wish!

So do a could deed and spread a little magic!

Happy wishing

Kitty

PS: Let us know if your wish comes true!

Does it count if i donated 50 ceramic bowls to a Buddhist Temple that takes care of orphans last Sunday? Cos for some strange reason after i donated I fell really really sick on Tuesday. Still sick today... can hardly breathe at all.

But if i do get to make a wish. I wish I'd find a good job before christmas that pays reasonably well so that i can go to UK next year. Experience + Reasonable salary :wink

Well, my whole grade is knitting scarves at the moment and raising money for homeless children in Toronto...

My wish: that I don't bomb my Science exam.

Edited to say: Wish granted :)

If it first you do succeed, just try not to look so surprised.

You know this thread worked. I dumped some money outside of the target for the Salvation Army. I heard they're down in donations this year because of the long supermarket strike here in southern california. Anyway, when I saw them, I thought of this thread and I might not have donated if not for this guilty feeling that I should. Anyway, my wish is for some happiness to come for kittens posting on the crappy feelings thread.

as i don't really have any money, my donation wasn't cash, but something that is even more a part of me an my heart. i went and give blood this afternoon, but i finally couldn't, cause my iron level was too low:(

anyway, at least i tried...

have happy hollidays everyone:love
