Finally I've gotten round to make me an avatar... let's see if this works...



All right! It works. I know this may be a bit late, but if anyone needs any help in hosting their avatars or actually creating an animated one with a gif animator, drop me an email and I'll be glad to help out in any way I can.

Sorry, just saw this now. And while I've already cleared up who he is for you, Ruth, for any other confuzzled souls, that's Adrian Paul, playing Duncan MacLeod, of the Clan MacLeod. Yeah, the Highlander: the Series guy -- not to be confused with overhanging brow ridge-guy Christophe Lambert, who played Connor MacLeod, etc., in the movies.



The movies (well 1,2,&3 anyway) exist in a different universe than the Highlander series does. Endgame (the 4th movie) used Connor, well, killed him actually, but it was the Connor from the series universe, not the Connor from the movie universe. Confused yet? :P



And hey, give Duncan a break -- so he had the festive look going on -- he was only around 60 or 70 years old then, he was in Italy, around 1650-70 and they got pretty creative, clothing wise, back in the day. You should see some of the feathered hats from the Milan eps. They even managed to get Roger Daltrey into them too. Along with silk and much lace. *snerk*



Yeah, *that* Roger Daltrey. He started playing Fitzcairn in season one and was still playing Fitz in the series finale. I think they liked each other. Roger and Fitz that is...



I do wish I could get a bigger image of Duncan up -- he's so much prettier than Fabio. So very much prettier than almost any man living.... In fact, the only resemblance to FBoy is that they both had long brown hair at that time, and this is a screen capture from a fb to the mid 17th century in a HL episode. "The End of Innocence" if anyone's remotely interested. Fabio, sadly, chooses to dress like that in this day and time.

Almost all of the D/M images are manips -- but they're done by the best graphics fan artist on the planet, so they won't look anything like manips people outside of HL and ST: TOS have ever seen. With the occasional Jim/Blair pic she'd do for zine stories. Wonderful person -- one of the most gifted writers I've ever had the pleasure to read -- vids like she was born to do so -- incredible graphics artist -- sings like an angel... I've pretty much decided that if it's right brain oriented, Killa was born its master.



By the by, having changed avatars and all now -- this one's Elizabeth Gracen who plays Amanda -- she's around 1160 years old and she and Duncan have had a 'they come and they go' relationship for about 365 years or so now. Gotta love that not physically aging at all after your first death gig. *sigh*
