Frankly this thread is becoming stagnant. It needs to be livened up a bit.

Rally, Days Go By, like all your videos, was true. It was hard to watch, a little bit, to see these scenes that are now memories interspersed with Willow's rage and grief. Oh, man.



But it's wonderful. In case there's ever a vote, though, for Rally's Best Video, tally me up for Somewhere Out There. I know I've said this before, but it's the best. I watch it--did I tell you this before--to get in the right mindset to write my fic.

Xita, see I tend forget that I am like the Joss Whedon of video makers, all with the pain is good, happiness not so much. Given my source material, it's not much of a suprise.



My more upbeat videos tend to focus on season four when W/T were mostly angst free. Where as it's near impossible to do anything upbeat from season six.



Oh well, as always I appreciate you guys watching them. I just often get extra ranty and need to vent about who the frilly heck is downloading the vids and I never hear from them. I am starting to focus in on doing some ensemble videos of the entire cast. So now I will have the opportunity to torture a whole new subset of fans.

Will you be able to link to your ensemble videos here? They'll have W/T in them, I assume, so they will be Kitten-appropriate?



BTW, you have very cutting-edge musical taste. I'd heard the Krauss and Branch stuff before, but the rest of your music...well, I'd never heard it before but now hear it all over the place. You have turned me on to a few excellent bands I'd not known. So thanks for that, too.

Well thanks again for the compliment and again I love your fic and I don't post in your thread nearly enough.



Not sure if many future vids are going to be Kitten linkable or not. Any video I do that takes place in Season 4-6 will have W/T in them. That is already the case, with my other videos. I have a few Season 1-3 videos in mind, so those, not so much.



I did a OMWF video, which of course featues W/T prominently but my beta didn't think it was appropriate to link it (I think because of the ending, but I never did ask why). So I didn't link but I did get the ok to mention it and my website, where all of my videos reside. I am establishing a few other ways to get the word out about my videos, I am just addicted to making videos in general.



As for the music, it's all pretty much new stuff yes. I basically only use two kind of songs, either songs from show, I.E. Branch, Krauss, K's Choice. Then there are the songs that I listen too myself. I am starting to turn the corner on songs and you will see the same bands start to come up a second and third time in my videos.



Currently everytime I hear a song, I am thinking how can I make that into a video. So though I see a lot of requests for other types of music, if I don't like the song or the band, it just isn't going to happen.



The Dirty Vegas song is example of just that. If the song sounds familiar, you may know the dance mix version of it from the Mitsubishi Eclipse commericals, that ironically has been playing the last 3 weeks with Buffy both on Tue and Wed nights. Anyway, I hate that commerical and I hated the song. Then my local station started playing the song, and it drives me nuts, I often thought those lyrics are pretty cool but ug, this music.



So last week I hear this song come on, acoustic version, I think, I know this song, what song is this? Was like whoa, these lyrics are great, I should do a video of it. Then it occurs to me that it's that horrid car commerical song I hate so much. 2 days later, video happens. So I pretty much have to dig a song in order to make it into a video.

Ok new vid time, Wherever You Will Go by The Calling, I have had this on the boards for a long, long time. About 5 videos ago, but it kept getting pushed off. Pretty happy with the results however, it starts out angsty, but ends pretty happy overall.

I would also just like to add that I have had three videos chosen to be shown at the first ever music video convention in Chicago next week. They are Epiphany, That Kind Of Love and Virgin State Of Mind. So I am rather excited about the chance to get the videos out there and be shown.

I don't think its a big deal if I plug them, the music vid scene is relatively small but growing every day. It's very big for Buffy, Smallville and Witchblade, along with Star Trek, Farscape, Xena and Xfiles.



The con is called Vividcon and takes place next weekend. I kind of put off submitting vids to them until the last minute but they just published their first draft (?) playlist and those three vids I mentioned were listed as showing. There is not a heck of a lot more info I can give, but their website is here.

Wow, haven't had this much feedback in a while, I should take vacations more often.



KJchicago - I was happy I finished myself, as I mentioned, it had been sitting around partially done for quite a while. But when I get in the right mood, videos just seem to come together, even ones I have partial creative block on.



LeatherQueen - It's hard to not have angst in the videos, but I was pleased that I was able to end this one on a fairly upbeat note.



hush30 - I burn them to vcd and svcds to play on my dvd player and bring on the road with me. It's nice for my friends that can't download them because of their older computers or for torturing friends and family with. No one escapes a visit to my house without having to watch at least one video. As with anything in vcd format, there is pixelization and loss of picture sharpness, but it's still pretty cool to watch them on a bigger screen.



foreverpiper - Two words, download accelerator. You should get a download utility so you can resume partial downloads. Glad you liked Sweetness, I love that song and wanted to do something fun with it.



mocha fiend 22 - Epiphany is a pretty solid vid, I wanted to do it for the title of the song alone, but the lyrics were really great. Apparently others like it too, because it was the last one I submitted to Vividcon, almost didn't submit it, yet it is one of the vids they chose to show. I think it has a good balance of showing the other characters and that is something I am working on more and more these days. Working with some of the other characters.

I liked the new video a lot, Rally, and it's great that you're going to the con.



There were some clips in this video that I haven't seen too much before, which was nice, and as always, the timing of clips to lyrics is great. In the first part, there was a clip of what looked like young Willow but with darkish hair...was that from "The Wish?" I couldn't figure it out. But I loved seeing Willow run up to Tara in the hall, and I love seeing this end on that hug and not on what comes after.



Sometimes I just like to watch these videos and pretend it never happened, so thanks for that.

The thing is i do have one but my crappy computer disconnected and then i reconceted and it resumed but it kept disconnecting me so eventually it just started over. But i did finally get it downloaded and I absolutly loved it! Twas awsome!
