TwiLightJoy's Collected Works

Postby TwiLightJoy » Sun Jun 02, 2002 6:46 pm

Hey everyone! I just thought I'd let you know that I finally uploaded a bunch more AIM Buddy Icons to my site. Most of them were Spike-related for a friend of mine who's a little Spike-happy, but I do have more than a few W/T, Aly, and Amber ones. (All BtVS icons made my yours truly! Except one which I am deleting, coz I have been told it's a smidge too big for AIM to handle.) You can head on over to www.geocities.com/twi_light64/AIMicons.html (you'll most likely need to copy and paste the addy) and if that doesn't work, head for my main page at www.geocities.com/twi_light64/twi_light64.html ^__^

The AIM page is (for obvious reasons) VERY graphics-heavy and may take a while to load fully. But I assure you that your patience will be rewarded with a certain Icon of Amber. You'll see.

I've finally updated my site to include small versions of all the art I've finished so far for the Kitty Board Book. Ya'll can check it out at www.geocities.com/twi_light64/WillTara.html ...If anyone has a request of a certain scene they wanna see, I'll get on that too. Right now I'm working on the pic from Where The Wild Things Are with Willow's hand on Tara's knee. :D Next I'm going to do one of the dance at the end of Family where they are floating above the floor. :)

~Joy

Hey guess what? I actually had enough time off my job to put up another pic at my site! I had to divide the W/T gallery into 2 and .. well, I explained why and all that on the site, so I will shut up now.

The new pic is of Tough Love, last one on the Season 5 gallery page. Enjoy! www.geocities.com/twi_light64/WillTara2.html

Hiyo, I just wanted to let you know that I have a new pic up on my site, you can view it at www.geocities.com/twi_light64/WillTara3.html ... My Taras have been better, but it's my first one that was actually done in colored pencil instead of simulated colored pencil. Lemmee know what ya think!

These are great, thanks! Um, could you maybe tell me how to apply them to my AIM?

How To

Postby TwiLightJoy » Sun Jun 02, 2002 7:43 pm

Okay, it's really very simple. First, right-click on the image(s) you'd like and save them to your computer like any other pic. I have folders for them set up so I know right where to find them, and if you have a lot that would probably be a good idea. Next, open up your AIM preferences, and click on the Buddy Icon tab. Make sure My Buddy Icon is highlighted, then click Browse My Computer. Locate the file you want, and click Open. That is your new icon setting, and all your Buddies will recieve it in a wee bit of time. If they like, tell them where you got it from. Now if I could just find my Miss Kitty Fantastico icon!!

Under the My IM menu, you select Edit Options > Edit Preferences. Select the Buddy Icon tab from the new window, to the right is the Images to use for buddies, below that window is a Browse PC button, use that to select the location of the image, where you saved it on your local harddrive. Select Apply.

Officially, of course, I have to say that I have no idea what you're talking about.

Do they? I have AOL 7.0, and as far as I can see, there isn't a "browse" option on the buddylist set-up where you can toggle the icon display. Don't see a "My IMs" menu listing anywhere either. Grr. I want smoochy W/T goodness on AOL.

I don't see it either. It must not be an option for 7.0. Grrr... Oh well... I guess I'll stick with ol' Speedy Gonzales. :grin

Miss Kitty and AOL

Postby TwiLightJoy » Mon Jun 03, 2002 11:39 pm

I finally found the Miss Kitty Fantastico icon I made last week, and uploaded it to the site as well. And as far as the AOL thing goes, sorry! ;_; My sister's boyfriend knows the HTML codes where you can click on the image and it automatically becomes your icon, but I have a few problems. First, I don't know the codes myself and can never catch him to ask about it. Secondly, I am not sure if there is a way to view the HTML on Geocities, I'm using PageBuilder for the site coz I left all my Big Book of HTML Stuff in NY when I moved, and won't get it back until August at the earliest. (That just can't be spelled correctly.) Also, my version of AIM is not the most up-do-date, so sorry for the bad advice there.

Joy, it's okay. Thanks for sharing them though. I just wish I could get mine to work. :(
