Beautiful women always inspire me to draw... So, it was only a matter of time until I tried my hand at drawing someone as stunning as Amber Benson!



I think I did a pretty good job... what do you think?

Drawing human faces is the hardest thing there is for me, I am definitely not good at it, I still need lots of practice on that. You have done a good job, especially on the eyes, specifically the left eye. The use of shades is excellent. I think it might have been better with her mouth closed and a less detailed nose. I hope you will make more, I think you would get even better real quick.



I am curious whether you used an existing picture for this, I can´t remember a picture like this. If you have done this by heart than that is especially difficult.

DrG: To answer your question, this is a closeup of a picture that was in the stuff spread Amber did. In the picture, she's sitting on a chair and her left arm is raised above her head, draped over the back of the chair. Her head is at a different angle than the one in my drawing... it just felt less aquard to draw it this way.



Noses, noses are my problem and I'm sure you can tell. (If you compare my drawing to the actuall picture) I would post a link to that particular picture... if only I could find it! The website I originally got it from is no longer up and running!
