It never fails to fascinate me how readers never focus on the things that (over)concern me - or at least comments don't reveal it.
I was all bothered about getting into the whole 'Family' revelation in what was supposed to be a fun series that happened to be set in canon and you really didn't care!! LOL.
As I said in the notes there was no way to NOT deal with that if I keep in the canon timeline. If you think about it Tara is only what, 5 or 6 months from her (real) birthday and that has to be on her mind. But bless you for not even caring and focusing on the good
All that said, what this part did do was allow me to 'ignore' it into the future. Now we can have a summer, we can have a road trip etc and have some fun with that. Not sure that the title 'Processing' will be entirely relevant by then but hey... LOL
Plans then. More of these at about the same pace. I've got at least 3 in mind so far. Then I will probably allow this one to go away and should be looking at Sidestep III which is about 40K words in so far though I have just reached my first 'OMG what the hell do I do now' moment which needs to be overcome.
I hope you won't care when I do something I don't want to in that too!
Thanks so much.
SMGOVAN - Hmm, I may well have to 'steal' 'big ole titty whore' for another part. Look out for that! Have to say that Ira is a nice character to write, he's shaped a lot by Sidestep to be honest or I wouldn't have thought of him but having established he's not exactly active, fishing seems to work for him too
Thanks.
Zampsa - Was Willow pissed? I don't think she'd have wanted to be there, she wasn't exactly pining for her Dad's fishing attention LOL. And I think she finds it hard to resent his acceptance of Tara. What it does do is surprise the hell out of her and leave her Tara-less on a Saturday. Which, to me, is nothing short of a crime. So yeah, maybe!
Laragh - You read more than me so I will take your word on the % of interaction
I think the man - being married to Sheila and happy with it - has a fascinating perspective on obviously difficult relationships! Also though anyone outside that relationship would probably think it wouldn't work and yet... it does. So maybe he doesn't know as much as he thinks he does?!
And yes, I had to add boobage. No. Wait. I had to add T/W Time. Boobs happened to be there. Not at all addicted to adding boobage. No. Really.
As for the porn business... I wrote it but haven't had chance to redraft it, too busy writing Sidestep III. But I will get there and do something with it!
Thanks
Bemydeputy - Thanks so much for caring to dibs and reflect at leisure LOL.
I'm certainly glad that it rang true for you, though I assume fish weren't involved with your future-in-laws. And yes, you find out in later years that kids rarely get away with most of the things they think they did.
Thanks so much all.
