I rest on my arm and gaze at her effortless perfection, I am overwhelmed with my love for her.
Her chest rises steadily and strong, her sacred breath, a lullaby to my scorched mind.
The bruise upon her left cheek is angry and violent, she has never looked more beautiful.
I gingerly stroke her long blonde hair, it is liquid silk.
The enigmatic smile she wears warms my tired soul.
Every pore of me is filled with her, nothing more exists.
She is Angel Falls and I her willing delta.
My every action is for her, somehow because of her, a paean to her.
“Hey”.
Ahh, she is awake and once again I am reborn.
Her eyes hold me captive and are filled with endless goodness, acceptance, devotion.
She is the best of me, my heart, my home, my Tara.
