Yea so, it's been years. But I have a little something for those who've been waiting patiently! I hope you know what's been going on. A little reminder:
Willow & Tara are having a baby. Hadley's in the hospital because of a hole in her heart. Buffy & Faith are married, but no one knows it yet. Tori's now a College Freshmen, Dawn's a Senior. Xander & Anya have a baby girl, Alex.
If you haven't read the first part Never A Night Like This, I highly recommend you do.
I hope I can keep this story going a lil more. Either way, I hope you enjoy the little bit I have for you.
Enjoy!
~*Chapter... I forget*~
The morning of Hadley's procedure arrived and the Scoobies hung out in the waiting room while Willow and Tara stayed with the little girl.
"How long did they say this was going to take?" Dawn asked, sitting in a chair.
"An hour? Two hours tops? If they have complications then it'll take longer but we won't know unless Willow or Tara come out to tell us," Tori sighed.
"Hadley's strong. "Xander patted the brunette's knee.
"I know, it's just...it's not everyday you go through something like this," Tori whispered. "Hadley's my niece, she sometimes feels like my own daughter... it's normal for me to worry right?"
Faith sat down beside the young adult and threw her arm over her shoulder, "Hazel, of course it's normal for you to worry, we're all worried."
"Want to hold Alex?" Anya asked, rocking her daughter in her arms.
Tori smiled and nodded. "Thanks Anya," she cooed.
"See? I helped!" Anya beamed and was given a kiss on the cheek by her husband.
~*~*~*~*~
"No!" Hadley squealed, pushing away the nurse.
Tara ran her fingers through her daughter's hair. "Baby, you need to have this so you can sleep through the procedure."
"It'll hurt." Hadley sulked.
"Only for a quick second," Willow whispered in her tiny ear.
Hadley eyed up the small needle in the nurse's hand and frowned. "Can Nurse Jean do it?"
Tara and Willow stifled their giggles and kissed Hadley's cheek. "Jean is not in yet, but I'll tell you what, if you let me do this, I promise to have Nurse Jean in the room while you wake up...yea?" The other, older nurse, smiled.
Thinking about it for a moment, Hadley agreed and closed her eyes tightly. "It's gonna hurt!" She clenched her small jaw and waited a moment before opening an eye and looking up at the nurse. Her hands were being held by her parents and they looked back at her with loving looks. The nurse was already packing up the needle and disposing in the hazard box. "Is Nurse Jean going to stick me with the needle?"
Tara chuckled and squeezed Hadley's hand. "No, you already had the needle...I bet you were crying for nothing," she raised an eyebrow when Hadley blushed.
"You are strong." Willow grinned.
"It'll take about ten minutes before the medication works it magic," the nurse smiled and knelt down, "Hadley, if you feel dizzy and light headed, I want you to just lay back in your parents arms and close your eyes, okay?"
Hadley nodded slowly, feeling slightly weird. "I love my parents." She grinned.
The nurse beamed too and left the three of them alone.
Willow kissed Hadley's forehead and sighed, running her fingers through long curls. "It's okay to be scared, Tara," she whispered to her wife.
"I have to be strong," Tara whispered, clearing her throat while cradling her daughter. "She needs me to be strong."
The redhead sighed and pressed her forehead against the blonde's. "She's sleeping, you can let it out with me, okay?" her bottom lip quivered.
"Oh baby." Tara sniffled, pulling Willow in for a hug as the three huddled together.

Dawn walked into the waiting room with a bottled water for her girlfriend. "Any word yet?" she asked, sitting beside Tori.
"No, it's been forty-five minutes and nothing!" Tori sighed, banging her head against the wall.
"Hey!" Dawn scowled and smacked her girl lightly on the thigh before pulling her close and kissing her head. "Be good to my girlfriend." She pouted.
"She did that twice since you were gone," Anya pointed out.
"Gee, thanks, tattler!" Tori grumbled.
"What? Well she did!" Anya frowned and went back to cooing at her daughter.
Faith stood up and stretched. "You know, these hospitals give me the wiggins-"
"Wiggins?" Tori raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "You'd think you and B were married."
Buffy's head shot up and exchanged looks with her wife. "Uh, w-why would you think that?"
"Because you're starting to talk alike?" Tori frowned. "You're so sketchy lately Buff, what is your deal?"
"Nothing," Faith furrowed her brow and looked at the young brunette, "we're just worried about Hadley, it has everyone on edge." She rolled her shoulders back and tried to pop her neck. "Not even patrolling is helping my muscles," she winced slightly.
"Figured that was Buffy's job," Tori cracked a grin which made everyone else smile as well.
"You know Tor, Xander told me it's not always a good thing to talk about sex to try and make things better, more comfortable." Anya said with assurance.
"I wasn't talking about sex Anya, I was just making a joke that really had nothing to do with sex unless you were thinking it, which you were, so there is a difference." Tori leaned her head on Dawn's shoulder, sighing heavily.
“It is Anya you’re talking too,” Dawn chuckled slightly, easing her girlfriend’s anxiety a bit.
“Xander!” Anya whined, “the teenagers are making fun of me.”
Xander flashed the two teens a look and patted his wife’s back. “I think we all need refreshments. Who wants refreshments?” Everyone raised their hands accept Tori, who nursed her cold water slowly.
Buffy was the first to hop up and loop her arm through her male friend’s. “I’ll help. I need to pace a bit.”
“Dawn?” Tori whispered, feeling exhausted.
“Rest baby,” Dawn smiled and kissed the brunette’s forehead, “I’ll wake you up as soon as we hear something.”
“Promise?” Tori yawned slightly.
“Promise, promise.” Dawn whispered, stroking her fingers through her girlfriend’s hair.
