Passover was great! Ira was great- I was a bit surprised by Tara's take on Sheila, that Sheila disliked her personally more than the fact that Willow is gay- I always figured Sheila would have a problem with anyone she didn't, herself, handpick. But, Tara is intuitive so if she is picking up on that (and there definitely have been clues from past interactions/ comments from Sheila about Kimberly) I just hope Sheila gets over whatever she is harboring soon

I love that the gang in is LA- and it was really really lovely to see Buffy hanging out with Willow again. It brought a great added layer and richness to their world- and reminded us of the ties to Sunnydale, plus, I adore a Tara/Buffy friendship- it just works.

I loved the best friends talks between Willow and Buffy, especially that Buffy told Willow about the struggles with her mental health she had before moving to Sunnydale. Again a stroke of genius of you, Laragh, to strip the traumatic experiences canon-Buffy had before the start of the series of their fantastic / mystical element and transfer them into your AU-story.

Minor thing: I was a bit confused by Willow's remark:
Quote:
“I forgot you lived here.”

because before going to bed Willow had suggested to Buffy:
Quote:
Maybe you could show me where you used to live?”

But maybe it was just a temporary slip of mind because she was practically still half asleep at this moment?

Quote:
Buffy continued to smile and nodded back toward Willow’s room.

“You should get back to her.”

Willow offered both hands.

“Come with me.”

Buffy’s eyes widened considerably.

“Uhhh…”

Willow was confused for a moment.

“No! Ew!” she said, shaking her head quickly, “Slumber party. You’re not getting out of it twice.”

:lol

Quote:
“That’s more of a bed for two.”

“Tara and I have scrunched up in much smaller spots,” Willow reassured as she climbed into the middle of the bed and pushed Tara over as far as possible.

Buffy hesitantly got in but smiled as Tara threw her arm over them both.

“Who needs stupid boys?” Buffy giggled.

“Preachin’ to the choir here, baby,” Willow giggled back.

Buffy looked at Willow sincerely.

“Thanks, Will.”

Willow just smiled as they both closed their eyes.

“That’s what friends are for.”

Awww for the "cuddle of three" :bigkiss - good thing that the wet spots have already dried apparantly... :wink

Quote:
“You’re not going to make us do another blood oath, are you?”

Willow took in a long, slow breath.

“How about a hug oath?”

Everyone seemed amenable so they closed into a three-way hug while sitting on the sofa bed. The movie they had been watching played forgotten in the background as they hugged in silence.

Awww again! :flower

Quote:
“Threesome! Harlots! I knew you were after him all this time!”

She rushed forward to separate them all. Willow stood and rolled her eyes.

“Anya if I wanted to have a threesome I have much better ideas of combinations of people in this room,” she said, then her eyes widened as she saw Tara fold her arms in the doorway, “Not that I would ever want a threesome. Yuck!”

She kissed Tara’s cheek and chuckled nervously.

:rofl Colour me intrigued about which combination(s) Willow has in mind. Maybe her "Ew!" exclamation to Buffy's error about her intentions the night before was too much protest of that lady... :wink

Quote:
“Hey, why don’t they join the oath?” Buffy suggested, ridding the tension in the room.

Tara gave Willow a lingering ‘we’ll talk about this later’ stare before dropping her arms.

“Join the what?”

“We’re doing a hug oath to be better friends and keep in touch more,” Willow explained and smiled at Buffy’s suggestion, “And you guys are part of that.”

“Definitely,” Xander agreed, smiling at Anya now sitting in his lap.

Anya looked around curiously.

“How do we join?”

Buffy grinned and opened her arms.

“Hop in!”

Willow pulled Tara onto the bed with a giggle and they all joined together in a mosh more than a hug but the sentiment was there.

“Friends!” Willow thrust a slice of pizza in the air.

Everyone agreed with a pizza salute of their own.

“Friends!”

And they laughed together with glee as the Three Musketeers became The Famous Five.

AWWW³, perfect! :bigkiss :flower

Buffy slipped on the wet patch and now there's a HR nightmare going on. She's now wearing a neck brace while walking with a limp slightly to the left and trying to sue Laragh for all she is worth while Tara and Willow want to support their friend they know they have to honour their contract with Laragh, not to mention the great exposure they get through her. So they are abstaining from further comments.

Anya and Xander have been asked for comment but Xander has a ball gag in and Anya is only screaming, nothing coherent. She is trying to communicate through waving a spatula but the spatula translator is only getting "pick up some cream horns from Dildoughs"

Then there has been alleged evidence that someone saw Buffy doing back flips when seeing how much of a settlement she can try and get if it doesn't go to court. then a triple axel and sequenced dance step routine when she heard how much she could get if going to court.

Its a whole thing and I know nothing but the nonsense can be a distraction while the search parties are doing their business.

I am neither dead nor dealing with any litigious slayers, just very, very tired.

I had a very busy week. I'm sorry. I'm working on it!

*Sniff* - Canon – The film (I’ve never seen it but I guess it happened)

Also canon to the show I believe

Quote:
*Sniff* - Canon – Normal Again (the episode proving less than three minutes of Tara time over two scenes really uplifts an episode from always skip to nah it’s alright but how come Joyce gets a cameo each year and she doesn’t have to be evil itself for it.)

Ugh, so true. When I think of how underutilized she was...

*Sniff* - Canon – Blood ties

*Sniff* - Canon – the replacement, Xander gets a steady construction job and moves out of the basement but most importantly he snoopy danced.

*Sniff* - Canon – The Prom

I bow down to your detective skills! :bow

I never watched anything to zone out in the first place! But yes, Devon.

Too true.

I’m not knocking the KB when I say this as Willow and Tara are the soul of this place but it is so refreshing to have a scene where they aren’t glued at the hip. The best thing about this chapter is it explores Willow as Willow. It’s kind of like that test, where a female character can go so many minutes without talking about a male character, only in this case its Willow talking about Tara. She does but its not suffocating in a sense that’s a one track mind. it allows Willow to breathe as a character. Which for me, who is trying to get their head around Willow with a more positive light, is quite helpful. It also displays an unthreatened strength to their relationship where they can be individuals without the world ending.

This is interesting because I both agree and disagree. I think it's important and great when people write fics that focus on them as individuals, especially Tara and even Willow for the reasons you outline here. But my opinion of my own fanfic has always been: I'm writing W/T fanfic. Not W or T, not even W and T. W/T. Together, their relationship. So my mantra has always been, how do I approach this from the perspective of them as a couple. Obviously sometimes this requires individual perspective but even say when I was writing Tara's post-natal depression, my approach was always how do they get through this as a couple? And I make no apologies for that because that's what makes me happy and ultimately I write for my own enjoyment.

That said, I have no problem with exploring these other friendships on the side but my #1 focus will always be the depiction of Willow/Tara as a couple.

Thanks so much for commenting :)

These things rarely do blow over so easy, do they? Ultimately, like most situations, the real problem Sheila has is with herself. It will all come out, but slowly.

I agree, it works so well, and will become as important as canon as time goes on.

Thanks for your feedback!

I'm interested in exploring the mental health of Buffy as outlined in the epilogue so this was the perfect opportunity.

An Unexpected Visitor

I Hate To Turn Up Out Of The Blue, Uninvited
But I Couldn't Stay Away, I Couldn't Fight It

Tara sat in front of her mirror, fixing a tie around the collar of her shirt.

Behind her on the bed, Willow lay with a softly-rising chest and spent limbs.

“You can’t ravish me like that and then just leave like I’m a used sock.”

Tara adjusted the tie, straining her neck to try and make it straighter.

“Willow, they’re giving me a regular DJ slot. As magical as your pussy is, I can’t blow work off for it.”

Willow turned herself on her side with the sheet haphazardly strewn around her body.

“You can have more than my pussy…”

Tara arched an eyebrow through the mirror.

“I already have.”

“Any time and any place. I don’t care who’s around,” Willow grinned but soon started to pout, “Can I at least come with you?”

“Yes,” Tara replied as she brushed some blusher onto her cheeks, “You don’t have to ask. You’re always welcome in the booth beside me. I’ll even show you how to spin the decks if you want.”

Willow had a better idea.

“Will you fingerbang me in the alleyway afterward again?”

Tara’s cheeks turned pinker than just the blush application she had applied.

“I certainly need to learn how to channel that post-show energy.”

Willow bit the corner of her lip.

“You channeled it perfectly.”

Tara came to sit on the edge of the bed to pull on her combat boots under her pinstriped skirt.

“We can’t do that. We were lucky we didn’t get caught last time.”

“That’s what makes it fun,” Willow grinned as she reached over and hooked a finger into the waistband of Tara’s skirt.

Tara pulled the zip up on her boot.

“That’s what ends my career.”

Willow snapped her finger out of Tara’s skirt and ran her fingertips over Tara’s sexy fishnet stockings.

“So you want DJ-ing to be a career now?”

“No,” Tara replied, then frowned, “I don’t know. It’s fun right now, that’s all I know. Plus, I just started. It’s not like my books are filled up every weekend for the rest of the year.”

“Would you like that?” Willow questioned softly.

Tara’s eyebrows rose.

“And not have to work the restaurant or the bar during the week? Of course.”

Willow rolled onto her back and lifted her knee provocatively.

“Think my magic pussy could work any favors for you?”

Tara leaned over and pressed a kiss below Willow’s belly button.

“If it could be alert and ready to be eaten when we get home, that would be great.”

Willow let her legs close softly, already feeling a small surge of arousal from Tara’s kiss.

“That is never a problem around you.”

Tara smiled at Willow, then looked down and frowned.

“I’m not feeling the tie.”

She stood up and went to the closet, disrobing her shirt on the way.

“You looked hot,” Willow called out encouragingly.

Tara rolled her eyes over her shoulder.

“You always say that. I could wear a potato sack and you would say that.”

“It would be true,” Willow reasoned, running her palm in circles around the sheet, “Isn’t it better than ‘oh-I-better-not-tell-Tara-I-like-that-top-in-case-it-sounds-gay’?”

“It probably was gay,” Tara said as she looked through her shirts hanging in the closet, “You probably only thought that about the shirts that showed off my boobs.”

“Well I’m only a mere human,” Willow defended, her eyes brightening as Tara pulled on a long-sleeved leatherette crop top, “Ooh, I like a little Tara-tummy on show.”

Tara smoothed out the top and checked herself in the mirror.

“If you’re coming with me, you better get dressed.”

“I already came with you,” Willow replied cockily, “And you came twice.”

Tara bent over the bed and popped a kiss on Willow’s lips.

“And were I not a consummate professional I’d be hopping back in there for number three. But I am, so hop to it.”

She slapped Willow’s behind, who jumped and grinned from ear to ear.

“Yes, ma’am.”

Tara winked and popped another quick kiss on Willow’s lips before leaving to gather all of her equipment.

In the living room, she could hear the slap and tickle going on in Anya’s bedroom but couldn’t exactly complain — she knew Willow and she had breached the walls of their bedroom with their ‘activities’ as well from time to time.

She also couldn’t complain that Xander had started spending half the week here because Willow, too, did the same, although Willow did pay her way.

And Tara was sure Anya had never walked in on Willow sitting around in her underwear eating Lucky Charms with the marshmallows stuck to her chest as Tara had with Xander two nights ago, but she could grit her teeth and bear it to see her friend genuinely happy again.

She just hoped they never suggested Xander move in because Tara wasn’t sure this place was big enough for the four of them permanently. Xander’s construction job in Sunnydale seemed pretty steady and he was even moving up the ranks already, so he had a good incentive to stay put.

Tara immediately felt guilty for the thought and tried to brush it aside as she went to the hall closet to wheel out her decks. As she brought them out there was a knock on the door and Tara prayed to whatever goddess may exist that it wasn’t another Postmates delivery driver with a cock ring that was most certainly not discreetly wrapped.

“Coming!” she shouted loudly enough that hopefully Anya would hear and come out if it was for her.

She approached slowly, looking over her shoulder for any movement on Anya’s bedroom door before cautiously turning the handle.

She could never have guessed who would be on the other side.

“Nate!”

Nate beamed as Tara threw herself into his arms. He closed his hands around her and swung her from side to side.

“There’s my Queen of Sex!”

He winced as he set Tara down.

“Sax,” he amended and ran a hand back through his hair, “Jet lag.”

“Oh you’re a real New Yorker now, aren’t you?” Tara teased, lightly punching his arm before grasping it tenderly, “What are you doing here?”

She ushered him in and closed the door behind him.

“Had some business in Tinseltown and thought why not come to visit the best white girl rapper I know,” Nate said in a low drawl, “I, uh, watch your YouTube videos by the way. They’re rad. I’m glad you’re still putting that stellar voice to good use.”

Tara turned her head and smiled bashfully. Nate returned the smile but quickly averted his gaze to his shoes and stuffed his hands in his pockets.

Acting nothing like the cocky persona all of the magazines told of him, he turned his head and looked around.

“Nice place. Great location. And I like that you kept your string lights.”

He gestured towards the fairy lights hanging along the kitchen window.

Tara smiled softly.

“Than—”

Before she could fully answer, Anya ran out of her room wrapped in a blanket.

“Did my whipped cream arrive?” she asked eagerly, then stalled with wide eyes as she took in their guest, “You’re Nate Williamson.”

Nate glanced at Tara and brushed a finger over his eyebrow.

“Uh, yeah.”

“Anya, you know I went to school with Nate,” Tara explained the situation.

Nate bumped Tara’s shoulder.

“Hey, it was more than that.”

Tara smiled.

“Yes, we were in a band together.”

Nate swallowed.

“Right,” he nodded.

Without taking her eyes off of Nate, Anya yanked Tara to the side.

“You didn’t tell me he was coming here!”

“I didn’t know,” Tara answered honestly.

Xander chose that moment to come skidding out of the bedroom wearing only an elephant-themed cock-sock.

Tara looked everywhere but at it.

“Hey Ahn—” he started, then adopted much the same look as Anya as he set eyes on the other man in the room, “You’re Nate Williamson.”

Nate nodded easily given what he was being confronted with.

“Apparently I am.”

Xander squealed and ran back into the bedroom but it was not the last of the Dumbo Dick as he came back with a sharpie and skidded up to Nate.

“Would you sign my chest? It’s Xander. X-A-N-D-E-R.”

“Uhhh…” Nate looked to Tara, whose head was in her hands, but honestly, this wasn’t even the worst autograph request he’d ever gotten, “Sure.”

He scrawled his name and Xander squealed again. Anya came over and repeatedly ran her hand over it, even when Xander slapped her away in case she smudged it.

“I’m…so sorry,” Tara said when she could pull Nate away, “Funnily enough this isn’t even my worst roommate experience.”

“La-La-Land, amirite?” Nate just laughed with a shrug, “It’s, uh, always nice to meet a fan.”

Willow appeared then, dressed in black skinny jeans and a pink and black flannel shirt that hung low on her waist and tight on her shoulders. With matching eye make-up, she was a delightful pop of color.

“What is with all the hoopla—” she asked, her eyes taking several moments to take in the scene before she settled on one person with all of her facial muscles tightening, “Nate.”

Nate took a hand out of his pocket to wave but didn’t quite meet her eye.

“Oh, uh, Willow, right?”

Willow nodded quickly.

“Yeah. Willow,” she confirmed, then cast her eyes at Tara, “Um, baby, do we need to…?”

Tara’s eyes widened, remembering where she was on her way to.

“Yes,” she said and turned to her friend apologetically, “Nate, I’m on my way out to a show.”

Nate gave her a big, real smile.

“Oh, you’re still playing! I heard you quit after the arm thing.”

Tara shook her head.

“Not quit, but no, I don’t play shows anymore,” she explained and gestured to the equipment waiting near the door, “I DJ now. I just started really but I’ve done a couple of solo shows and the bar I work at has given me a regular slot.”

Nate surveyed the equipment, impressed.

“That’s so cool,” he breathed and held his hands up, “I’m so sorry, I just barged in. I’ll head out.”

Tara reached out and grasped Nate’s hand. Willow looked away.

“No, please come,” Tara said, squeezing Nate’s hand between both of hers, “I’d love for you to be there. We can have a drink afterward and catch up. Do you have other plans?”

Nate slowly smiled.

“I do have the night off.”

“We’re coming!” Anya announced, readily backed up by a keenly-nodding Xander.

“Not like that you’re not,” Willow said and her face broke out in horror as she finally noticed what Xander was wearing, “Oh my god. OH MY GOD. GET THAT OUT OF HERE. GO! GO! GET!”

She shooed them out like cats and pulled the bedroom door closed firmly behind her.

“God. Boundaries, people!”

Nate laughed and raised his chin slightly.

“Didn’t you date him or something?”

Willow’s brow furrowed.

“What?”

Nate scratched behind his ear and looked at Tara.

“Did you not tell me your friend Willow was dating a Xander when we were in school?”

Willow seemed unsure how to take that she was talked about at all. Tara looked between them slowly.

“No. No, I never said that. Not that they were dating.”

“Oh,” Nate shrugged, “My mistake.”

Willow pushed off the door and came to stand by Tara.

“I’ve never dated anyone but Tara,” she said, linking their fingers and smiling softly, “Thankfully.”

Tara smiled back. Nate looked up toward the ceiling.

“Let me carry this for you,” he said as he walked toward the decks.

“Are you okay?” Tara whispered to Willow.

Willow kissed Tara’s cheek.

“Of course.”

She squeezed their hands together and then broke them to do her part with hauling the equipment.

“You look fly by the way,” Nate commented to Tara as they walked to the car.

Willow didn’t miss his lingering gaze at Tara’s butt, but she honestly couldn’t blame him. That skirt hugged her in all the right places.

She did, however, begrudge him for taking the front seat with Tara and relegating her to the back without even asking. Sure, his legs were long but it wasn’t exactly cozy city back there with all of Tara’s equipment taking up most of the room.

Thankfully the bar was only a couple of blocks away.

Listening to their banter and Tara’s laugh made Willow realize she needed to lose the attitude and be happy for her girlfriend to see her old friend. Tara’s laugh was a swift cure for anything, even irrational jealousy,

Willow dutifully acted as a lackey and in fairness, Nate did carry the heavy stuff up to the hidden platform for Tara. He seemed to get a kick out of seeing her set-up and Willow tried not to be jealous that Tara had told her she’d show her how to play a song.

She reminded herself Tara had a regular slot now and could show her anytime and smiled proudly. Tara spotted her smile and smiled back over Nate’s shoulder, filling Willow with a warmth in her stomach that traveled up to her heart.

She walked up and put her hand on Tara’s elbow.

“Hey, I’m gonna watch from the pews tonight,” she said, rubbing the back of Tara’s clothed arm, “Make sure the groupies don’t attack.”

“I should warn the manager,” Tara nodded seriously, “Thank you.”

She kissed Willow’s cheek and ran down the back stairs of the platform, leaving Nate and Willow alone.

“Guess I should be freaking out a bit more,” Willow waved her hands awkwardly, “Big superstar in our midst.”

Nate shrugged one shoulder.

“I don’t feel any different. Don’t know why I should be treated any.”

Willow exhaled a soft breath.

“But I’m guessing people do anyway.”

Nate lifted his head and looked at Willow curiously for a moment.

Tara returned then, out of breath from running. She put a hand on Nate’s arm.

“My manager is insisting on getting you a VIP table.”

“Aw, nah,” Nate started to shake his head but when someone passing by to go to the bathroom spotted him and squealed, he quickly acquiesced, “Uh, yeah, okay.”

“I’ll take you,” Tara offered and turned her head to Willow, “Will you find Xander and Anya?”

“They’re invited up there too?” Willow asked dubiously.

“Better to have them in sight,” Tara explained.

“Who’s sight—” Willow started, then groaned, “Me-sight.”

Tara kissed Willow’s ear and whispered quietly.

“You have no idea of the kinds of things I’ll do to make this up to you.”

Willow’s blush was hidden under the fluorescent lights but Tara knew it was there and winked.

In the short time it took Willow to make her way down to the floor, the place was buzzing with news that Nate Williamson was here. Willow knew his popularity had skyrocketed lately, but this was intense. He was clearly in ‘get any girl in the world’ territory and he still clearly had the hots for her girl.

Still couldn’t blame him.

She didn’t actually believe he was a threat; Tara was most certainly gay if nothing else and there was a lot more between them than ‘nothing else’ to know she’d never stray.

But it still felt intimidating to think a bona fide rockstar had their eye on your love.

More than that, he clearly at least one point in time had been in love with her.

And again, gosh darn it, Willow still couldn’t blame him.

She’d gone through the exact same process; hit every branch on the way down and sometimes hit Tara with those branches too and yet Tara still chose her. She could imagine it felt unfair. But it wasn’t. Because those branches always belonged to the same roots; hers and Tara’s, forever entwined.

She found Xander and Anya who had somehow acquired t-shirts with Nate on them that Willow could only assume they already owned. Shaking her head, she pushed them towards the roped-off gate where the VIP table was and told them both to behave as she walked in front of them and made them sit as far away as possible at the table.

Tara had already gone back to the DJ platform but Willow was surprised to see a large man standing beside Nate in a black suit and sunglasses.

“Are the Bug race about to take over?” Willow asked in confusion as she approached and backed off when the man tried to pat her down, “Hey! Hands!”

“Hey, hey,” Nate stood up and pushed the man back, “She’s cool, she’s cool.”

“I enjoyed it!” Anya butted in helpfully.

“Sorry,” Nate said with a visible cringe, “I have to call my bodyguard in if, uh, y’know, I’m somewhere…uh, it’s a contract thing. Sorry.”

Willow scowled at the bodyguard and plopped herself down on the semi-circular couch. She couldn’t even enjoy the fact that she was in the VIP section after Handsy McHandserson tried to cop a feel. Though the cushioning was absolutely luxurious; her butt felt like it was being massaged.

A drink was placed in front of her that she hadn’t ordered and when she took a sip was surprised to taste alcohol. She managed not to cough it back up and sat back deeply into that massaging cushioning before it was taken away.

After a few minutes, the overhead lights started to flash above the stage and the curtains were pulled back dramatically.

“Please welcome…DJ TAROT!”

Willow jumped up and started clapping wildly.

“Wooo! Yeah! Go DJ Tarot!!”

Nate gave a slow clap; his large hands making the sound reverberate around the table.

Tara began to play and Willow could feel the music everywhere — whooshing past her face; making her hairs stand on end; deeply vibrating through her bones.

Beside her, Nate was mesmerized.

“She’s amazing.”

“Yes, she is,” Willow answered proudly.

Nate took his phone out to take some pictures and Willow found herself doing the same — whether to one-up him or not, Willow didn’t even know herself but it was a lot easier to take all-encompassing pictures from this vantage point.

The crowd was electric and Willow even heard Anya and Xander murmuring about how good Tara was; somehow pulling their attention away from whatever couple-crush on Nate was going on there. She also heard them discussing how to ask him for a threesome and at that point, she kicked them out back down to the floor.

She may not be sure exactly how she felt about Nate but the guy was clearly bombarded all of the time. He was Tara’s friend and he deserved at least to get to enjoy her show in peace.

This left her alone with Nate (and Shrek-in-a-suit but he did his best to blend into the surroundings).

“When did she get into this?” Nate asked, his voice so awed and low Willow would not have heard it had she not been sitting right beside him.

“When we were in Iceland,” Willow answered, the alcohol loosening her up enough to not be jealous of that look of utter longing on Nate’s face, “We roomed with a girl who invited us to her show, and Tara was just mesmerized. She met another DJ when she started working here and they really showed her the ropes. Good community, the DJs.”

“No doubt,” Nate breathed softly, “Hey, I remember her asking me for tips for an app…I didn’t realize it was this serious though.”

“I think that might have even been before Iceland,” Willow recalled, “Traveling like that, she never got to play music. She missed it. The apps really helped her get her rhythm out.”

Nate smiled softly and Willow let him have the moment.

During the show, Willow and Nate stared at Tara in silence with the same slightly wide-eyed look and small twitch of their lips. But when Tara looked back, her eyes were only for one person. Given the proximity of Willow and Nate’s seat, though, this was hard to tell.

Still, when the show was finishing up, Willow caught Tara most definitively meeting her gaze. Willow knew this because only she truly knew the heavy-lidded, lip-parted, tongue-poking look of arousal that Tara gave, particularly when she finished a show.

Willow cleared her throat, hoping her blush would be hidden under the dark lights, and promptly stood.

“Uh, this is her last set. I gotta go, um, just, uh, help her finish up.”

Nate stood and buttoned his jacket.

“Oh, I can—”

“NOPE!” Willow cut him off and ran her hand back over her hair, “Uh, they only let one person up there with her. Safety thing.”

Nate pushed out his lips and nodded, releasing his button as he sat back down. Willow spun on her heels and hurried down to the dance floor, pushing past the people totally entranced waiting for Tara’s last beat to drop. She got bounced around by swaying bodies as they embraced those final notes and reached the base of the DJ platform right as Tara finished and the lights went out dramatically.

Unable to see for a moment, the bouncer started to push Willow away. Shouting was pointless as the music still hung in the air but when red low lighting replaced the light show that had been, Willow gestured to herself dramatically and the bouncer mumbled an apology as he let her up.

The curtains closed across the platform and Willow hurried up the steps to see Tara with her head arched back, downing water from her water bottle. Beads of sweat were falling down her neck as the muscles strained and Willow could see each gulp as it went down.

Tara finished her bottle of water and wiped her arm over her forehead as she straightened up again. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Willow and quickly slapped her water bottle back down. Eyes as wild as the limbs had been on the dance floor, she strode over and pulled Willow in by the collar of her shirt. Kissing her without even the smallest of gaps left for air, her hands slid up to Willow’s cheeks and pummeled their lips together.

She broke for just a moment, looked into Willow’s lusty eyes that she knew was mirrored back, and exhaled sharply.

“Screw it.”

She tugged on Willow’s hand, who could do nothing but obediently follow as they went down the other side of the platform and through the break room to the staff bathroom. Finding it thankfully empty, Tara pulled Willow into one of the stalls. She used one hand to push the lock closed on the door while the other grabbed Willow’s hip and pulled their bodies together.

Willow could smell Tara’s sweat and it instantly invoked a stirring between her legs. She watched Tara’s nostrils flare and was sure her girlfriend could smell her. This was only compounded by Tara’s hand flying to Willow’s belt to snap it open and get her hand under those tight jeans.

Tara didn’t waste a second and Willow didn’t need her to; providing ample slickness to Tara’s questing fingers.

“Ugh.”

Tara answered Willow’s short moan with one of her own as her fingers rolled over Willow’s clit and quickly set a fast pace. Willow bit her lip to stop anything louder escaping but could do nothing to stop the rhythmic banging of her head against the wall as her whole body gave over to Tara’s touch.

Tara attacked Willow’s neck with sucking and nibbles, using her whole body weight to thrust against Willow. She could feel Willow’s heart pounding between them and reached down to tug Willow’s jeans down mid-thigh so she had the room to plunge her fingers inside.

“Uh, yes!” Willow let out a long, loud groan.

“Ssh,” Tara coaxed softly and pressed her lips on Willow’s.

After a moment, the door outside opened.

“Hello?”

Never so quickly had Tara reacted; pulling Willow’s legs up around her waist so her sneakers couldn’t be seen through the space on the door. She cleared her throat to compose herself.

“Uh, hey, Ronan,” she called out to the assistant manager, shooting Willow a look when she tried to continue to rub herself on Tara, “Just had to run to the bathroom before I packed up.”

“Oh, cool, okay,” Ronan called back, “Hey, did you really bring Nate Williamson with you?”

Tara struggled to hold up Willow’s weight and it made her voice quiver.

“He’s, um, an old school friend.”

“So cool,” Ronan breathed, “Hey can you get me an autograph?”

Willow let out a low moan, so low only Tara could conceivably hear her, but Tara still tilted her neck as an offering to muffle her. Willow happily latched on and Tara’s eyes rolled back into her head.

“Yep, sure, I’ll get that for you but um, Ijustneedafewminutesokay?”

“Right! Sorry! Catch you later!” Ronan said before the door shut again.

Tara eased Willow’s legs back down and in a massive show of arm strength, kept up the pace she had set before.

“I’m gonna come,” Willow whispered, not even caring that the upper, exposed, portion of her bare butt was rubbing all over the hopefully recently-cleaned bathroom wall.

Tara curled her fingers and Willow plated her mouth of Tara’s neck; biting down to release the energy that would have bubbled out a lot more vocally otherwise.

Tara exhaled and began to slow her hand, pulling out and just letting it rest on top of Willow for a few moments. She kissed Willow on the lips and then down her jaw, falling off gently.

When everything was still, Tara tidied up Willow’s jeans and left the stall to wash her hands. It was dark and dingy in there but she was able to make sure her clothing was straight and that her hair hadn’t moved out of place.

Willow came out tying her belt and kissed Tara’s cheek.

“I approve of your wind-down methods.”

Tara smoothed out her eyebrows and caught Willow’s eye through the mirror.

“That’s the last time.”

“Uh-huh,” Willow replied, grinning.

Tara passed by to get to the door and smacked her ass on the way.

Willow blushed, seen easier under the brighter lights of the hall leading back to the stage.

“Hey, um, you go hang out with Nate. I’ll pack up your stuff.”

Tara shook her head.

“No, I can’t ask you to do that.”

“You’re not, I’m offering,” Willow smiled, then winked, “Kinda owe you one.”

“There’s definitely no ‘owing’ involved,” Tara replied insistently.

“No, I know,” Willow said with an easy smile, “But I want to. It’ll only take 10 minutes. Don’t worry, I know what not to touch.”

Tara rubbed Willow’s arm and kissed her cheek.

“Thank you.”

Willow brushed her fingers on Tara’s arm and walked up the platform from the back stairs while Tara slipped back onto the floor to go find Nate.

Even she had never been in the VIP section before. The bar provided bottle service but she’d never been trained in it. Even just collecting the glasses apparently required more skill than collecting them from any other table as only senior servers were sent up here.

Nate stood as she walked over and threw his arms around her.

“Girl, where were you hiding those skills?!”

Tara smiled bashfully.

“I wasn’t really. It just sort of happened. I’m still a newbie.”

“You don’t sound like it,” Nate effused as they sat down, “Shit, I’ve paid thousands of dollars to go to shows with a lot less beat than you just produced.”

Tara’s eyebrow arched softly.

“T-thousands?”

Nate waved off a hand.

“I shouldn’t be surprised. You always came out with the best stuff. I remember we’d be rehearsing and you’d just come out with this killer line,” he put his hand on his heart and pushed himself back like he’d been shot, “We could have been anything.”

He shook his head and cleared his throat.

“You. You could have been anything.”

“I’m everything I ever wanted and a lot more I didn’t even know about,” Tara smiled easily, patting Nate’s knee, “And you, Mister Superstar. I see you everywhere these days. Can’t turn on the radio without hearing your name. How’d you do it?”

“Wish I knew,” Nate scratched behind his ear, “Right time, right place?”

“Not to mention raw talent and devilish good looks,” Tara grinned and nudged Nate’s shoulder, “You should tell me when you’re going to be in an article or something instead of just sending me funny memes.”

“I thought you liked my funny memes,” Nate replied, faux-wounded.

“I do,” Tara laughed, “You’re just a very dear friend and I don’t want to lose you to the craziness going on in both of our lives.”

Nate nodded slowly.

“I get ya. And you too, miss. L.A.’s hottest new DJ and I don’t know a thing.”

“Hardly,” Tara shook her head, “Newest, maybe.”

Nate winked.

“I know what I’m talking about.”

They both laughed and as they were doing so, Trina, the manager approached with a wide smile.

“I hope everything has been to your liking this evening,” she said and while she was always a cheery person, Tara found that smile slightly scary.

“Just great,” Nate said with a charming drawl.

Trina clasped her hands in front of her.

“I know you’re on personal time but word has spread around of your presence and we wondered if you’d play a song for us?”

Tara’s eyes widened. She never knew her boss to be inappropriate. She sat up a little straighter.

“Y-you see, Nate’s my friend. I-I didn’t invite him here—”

“It’s okay,” Nate interjected quickly, saving Tara any animosity with her boss, “I’d be happy to.”

He cast his smile over to Tara.

“But only if we can have an Insect Reflection reunion.”

Tara’s brow rose. Nate offered his hand and Tara could only accept. Trina beamed.

“Excellent. The stage is all set up.”

Tara suddenly remembered Willow and while Trina gushed to Nate about his gay following, Tara walked ahead and saw Willow stacking everything by the door out to the parking lot.

“Thank you so much, darling,” she said as she placed a hand on Willow’s back.

Willow looked up and smiled.

“Good workout,” she said before eyeing the conversation behind her, “What’s up?”

“They’ve roped Nate into playing a song, which I’m very uncomfortable about but he says it’s cool,” Tara replied, folding her arms lightly over her chest, “As long as I sing too.”

Willow smiled softly.

“Insect Reflection reunion.”

“Hell yeah,” Nate overheard and held his hand out for a high five.

Willow returned it and kissed Tara’s cheek.

“Guess I’ll be watching from the crowd.”

She gave Tara an encouraging wink and held her hand until she had to part to go out to the floor. She ordered a cherry coke and enjoyed it, not even missing the alcohol from earlier.

No wonder so many stars were alcoholics if they were laden with the stuff before they were even legal. Then again, she was one to talk after various drunken nights notched up on her scorecard all over the world.

She pushed to the front of the crowd, knowing they would go wild once they heard what was happening. She felt a little smug, in the know.

Sure enough, when Trina came on the PA to announce a special performance, there were squeals, and Willow was jostled for her top spot, not that she’d yield it. She held her shoulders firm so she could watch the show from her favorite stool at the bar.

The curtain parted and Nate was standing at one microphone with a guitar someone had given him while Tara stood at another microphone on the other side and ever-so-slightly in the shadows.

Her voice, however, was everywhere. Low and evocative, Willow got a shudder right from the first line.

Hush, shush, quiet down
Tilt those lips, no need to frown
Covert, furtive, underground
It don’t matter, I’ll still drown
In you
Oh, in you

Tara offered Willow a crooked smile, who blushed to her toes considering what they’d just done.

She remembered Tara playing this song for her the first time and how it had shot right to her anxieties about coming out. Now, she was still happy to be Tara’s secret boo. As long as it was only against bathroom doors or alleyway walls.

Willow felt her cheeks start to flame a brighter red as Tara continued the song. She remembered the first time and being so upset at how dirty it was and though it was not the ode to cunnilingus that Willow had heard since she very much enjoyed the sultriness of the words pouring from Tara’s lips for her.

Because if nothing else, Willow LOVED that those words were written for her and couldn’t imagine ever not. Couldn't imagine the person she had been. When this moment could be anything but deep, erotic joy.

Once they finished up, Willow and Tara were sharing beaming, secret smiles and while the crowd had whooped and hollered, there was now a loud chant for Nate’s number one hit, Flower Girl.

Tara quietly walked off stage and Nate ran his hand back through his hair. Someone brought out a stool and Nate sat, somewhat awkwardly. He rested his hand over the strings and closed his eyes. A spotlight came upon him and he continued to keep his eyes closed as he began to play.

Violet, violet, violet, Vi…
I guess I'll never be your guy
It’s time for me to say goodbye
Because you’re not

Willow wasn’t sure whether or not to bristle. This song was so obviously written about Tara and it felt so uncomfortable to just be sitting here listening to this man pour his heart out over her seemingly oblivious girlfriend.

Tara jumped down onto the floor and cozied up next to Willow. Tara rested her head on Willow’s shoulder and took her hand to squeeze.

At that moment, Willow knew that Tara knew.

Willow didn’t need any more to be said.

They listened to the performance more than the song itself and sneaked away to load up the car with Tara’s equipment. Willow offered to drive it home, so Tara gave her the keys and went back to find Nate, who was signing autographs at the door. Tara noted Ronan was excitedly procuring his own autograph and selfie and so she didn’t approach until everyone had dispersed.

“You can split, man,” Nate said to his bodyguard when he spotted Tara coming toward him, “We’re cool.”

The bodyguard nodded once silently and left. Nate smiled at Tara and put an arm around her shoulders.

“I don’t play for free for just anyone’s boss, you know.”

“Oh Nate, I’m so sorry,” Tara replied, shaking her head, “That was so inappropriate.”

“It’s cool. I always like to please the fans. Not to mention my best girl,” he squeezed Tara’s shoulder and paused as they walked back onto the street, “Hey Tara…”

He looked at her for a long moment, then shook his head and became unusually coy. Tara put a hand on his chest and patted it.

“It’s been so nice to see you,” she said sincerely, “I always knew you’d make it big but I had no idea it would be so soon.”

Nate waved a hand bashfully.

“Hey, I, uh, owe you some cash. Album sale stuff. Do you have an accountant or anything my people can deal with?”

“Your ‘people’,” Tara grinned.

“She’s got jokes, she’s got jokes,” Nate puffed out a breath and laughed.

“Honestly?” Tara raised one shoulder and dropped it, “Willow helps me with all my tax stuff. Have ‘your people’ contact her.”

Nate smiled somewhat sadly.

“She’s who you wrote all those songs about, isn’t she?”

Tara nodded.

“Every word.”

Nate sighed and took Tara’s hand to twirl her in the street.

“Then she’s a damn good muse,” he said and winked, “And you scratch as good as anyone I’ve heard.”

Tara looked down at the ground.

“I’ve barely started.”

“You’re good DJ Tarot,” Nate replied emphatically, “You always knew how to carry people away with that beat.”

Tara faked falling backward.

“And you always knew how to make the girls swoon.”

“Not all of ‘em,” Nate muttered and realized they were standing outside of Tara’s apartment, “I’m in the studio first thing so I guess I better go get some sleep.”

“Since when are you sensible?” Tara asked with a sideways grin.

Nate stretched his arms above his head and let them drop.

“Since it paid off my parents’ mortgage.”

Tara shook her head, smiling.

“That’s incredible.”

“Yes, it is,” Nate agreed and pulled Tara into a hug, “Let’s not leave it so long next time, yeah?”

“Definitely not,” Tara agreed.

They parted and smiled and Nate looked to the right, making Tara look too and noticing for the first time that Anya and Xander had been creeping behind them.

“Hey, you two!” Nate called out jovially, “I’m playing The Hollywood Bowl this summer. I’ll get you a couple of tickets.”

They looked at each other and joined both sets of hands, squealing. Nate cocked an eyebrow at Tara.

“They’re not going to tie me up or anything are they?”

“Not without your consent,” Tara shook her head seriously.

Nate chuckled and briefly put his hand behind Tara’s head, pulling her into her chest. He kissed the top of her head.

“Keep kicking ass, kid.”

“Keep being a superstar, superstar,” Tara returned and Nate smiled.

“I’ll make sure you get in safe.”

“Such a gentleman,” Tara teased as she got her keys out and let herself into the apartment, “Bye.”

Tara ushered Xander and Anya in without incident and waved goodbye to Nate, whose big hand waved back before slapping back against his jeans to fish out his phone and call a Lyft.

Disturbingly for Tara, Anya and Xander ran into her bedroom as soon as they were in the door, making Tara quickly find Willow in their room to be as far away as possible. Tara spotted Willow standing over the bed and came over, closing her arms around her and letting them both fall into the bed.

Willow giggled and turned around to face Tara.

“Good night?”

Tara nuzzled Willow’s nose.

“Especially in the restroom.”

Willow blushed.

“Need some relief?”

Tara shook her head, eyes lidded.

“I’m thinking a slow, morning roll in the hay after a very well-earned night’s sleep.”

“I’m thinking that’s good thinking,” Willow kissed Tara softly, “I’m really glad you got to see your friend.”

Tara’s eyes conveyed something her words couldn’t.

“And I’m really glad I have the world’s best girlfriend.”

They kissed for another few minutes until they were too tired to continue and went to get ready for bed. As they settled in, something became very obvious.

Tara cringed.

“We’re going to need earplugs.”

Willow produced two pairs from her nightstand. Tara smiled.

“Always prepared.”

She took the set and popped them in her ears.

“And still close enough to hear you snore.”

“Pfft,” Willow returned as she put her arm around Tara’s waist, “Close enough to hear me wrangle an army of vegetables maybe.”

“Has Colonel Carrot been making an appearance lately?” Tara asked softly as she closed her eyes.

“Only when Major Mushroom can’t keep them in line,” Willow murmured in reply, “Night, baby.”

Tara took in a slow inhale as she succumbed to sleep.

“Goodnight, Willow. I love you.”

Too right too. Seriously No need to think an apology was needed. its on me, sorry. I don't feel this way about what I've read of yours. In no way was I attacking your work. its hard to explain it. Absolutely the couple aspect shouldn't be ignored, especially on the KB. While I could talk about the FC2 story for days, I wont here out of respect for infinitely. they are a big part of each others character growth so it should never be pushed to the side. Its like err. right ok there was a couple I use to hang with at lunch. they were constantly making out, on each other laps right at the table while Steve stared without blinking while sucking on his frube, i imitated the noises. So this is a moment and sometimes it feels like as soon as they meet they are unable to separate, unable to function without the others tongue in their throat. so the bell will ring and they cant physically separate when actually they did go their separate ways. did they text each other when apart, absolutely. when they talked about the future they talked about their individual desires but also how they could make it work together. It wasn't a ill do this because your doing this kind of thing. Still going strong. Sometimes some stories feel suffocating constantly in that moment instead of taking some air. Where as if they constantly stayed in that moment they would have died choking on each others tongues instead of growing as well rounded individuals but together. I guess when I read it I'm back at at that awkward table, so more me than an issue with peoples story telling. I don't know what I'm adding with this but 100% not attacking your work and method. Sorry

Loved this update, didn’t occur to me that Nate and Willow hadn’t really met. Nates longing for Tara-ness was sad to see still but he was respectful which was good. I love that Willow kept her jealousy in check, she’s definitely maturing.

The image of Xander in only an elephant cock sock is going to haunt my dreams so thank you for that disturbing picture!

Xander chose that moment to come skidding out of the bedroom wearing only an elephant-themed cock-sock.

Quote:
“We’re coming!” Anya announced, readily backed up by a keenly-nodding Xander.

“Not like that you’re not,” Willow said and her face broke out in horror as she finally noticed what Xander was wearing, “Oh my god. OH MY GOD. GET THAT OUT OF HERE. GO! GO! GET!”

She shooed them out like cats and pulled the bedroom door closed firmly behind her.

“God. Boundaries, people!”

:rofl What a traumatic experience for our favourite lesbians! :dumbo

Like GrimCityGirl I'm proud of Willow for swiftly overcoming her sparks of jealousy and just being happy that Tara could enjoy this visit from Nate (as her oldest friend apart from Willow).

:flower I love that imagery!

I prefer other places for their armorous activities than "dingy" bathrooms but apparantly their need was dire. Them almost getting caught in the act by the assistant manager was a comical situation but in my opinion it's very inappropriate behaviour for an employer to follow an employee into the bathroom and engage her / him in conversation while she / he is in the stall! As Willow said: "God. Boundaries, people!"

:bigkiss So great that Willow got to enjoy getting that song serenaded to her by Tara again and only feeling overwhelming love instead of the overwhelming panic of being outed against her will like the first time she witnessed "Insect Reflection" perform that song in "Inevitable".

“You’re good DJ Tarot,” Nate replied emphatically, “You always knew how to carry people away with that beat.”

Tara faked falling backward.

“And you always knew how to make the girls swoon.”

“Not all of ‘em,” Nate muttered and realized they were standing outside of Tara’s apartment

I can understand that Nate still has some regrets that Tara is "the one that got away". I hope he'll find another great girl to make him happy (although building a lasting relationship is pretty tough for "rockstars").

Quote:
They parted and smiled and Nate looked to the right, making Tara look too and noticing for the first time that Anya and Xander had been creeping behind them.

“Hey, you two!” Nate called out jovially, “I’m playing The Hollywood Bowl this summer. I’ll get you a couple of tickets.”

They looked at each other and joined both sets of hands, squealing. Nate cocked an eyebrow at Tara.

“They’re not going to tie me up or anything are they?”

“Not without your consent,” Tara shook her head seriously.

:rofl

Quote:

Awww! :flower :bigkiss

Every time I think I had left feedback, I later realize it was just in my head. And before I know it, I am behind on how many chapters I have read and fall back into my lurker ways. :buried I do not think I left any on this series yet, so I shall start with this chapter. :grin

After following this series (first with "Inevitable" and now "Infinitely"), you have captured Willow's growth into adulthood and how it has shaped their relationship dynamic perfectly. Reading the start, that Willow would not have been able to hold this conversation with Tara so unabashedly as she could here without that growth throughout the series.

Quote:
“Anya, you know I went to school with Nate,” Tara explained the situation.

Nate bumped Tara’s shoulder.

“Hey, it was more than that.”

Tara smiled.

“Yes, we were in a band together.”

Nate swallowed.

“Right,” he nodded.

Nate was a great friend for young Tara, but he really should have grown up by now to understand that his feelings were only a one way street. He was never an option for her.

Quote:
Xander chose that moment to come skidding out of the bedroom wearing only an elephant-themed cock-sock.

Tara looked everywhere but at it.

:yikes I was not expecting that and now am stuck with the imagery. Somehow this is worse than the first time in the 'male' showers in Army barracks post transitioning. This is self-inflicted on my brain, whereas, the latter I have no option and do what Tara did here every time.

Quote:

No dice there Natey boy.

Quote:
Nate smiled softly and Willow let him have the moment.

Quote:
At that moment, Willow knew that Tara knew.

Willow didn’t need any more to be said.

Maturity looks good on Willow.

Quote:
Willow cleared her throat, hoping her blush would be hidden under the dark lights, and promptly stood.

“Uh, this is her last set. I gotta go, um, just, uh, help her finish up.”

Nate stood and buttoned his jacket.

“Oh, I can—”

“NOPE!” Willow cut him off and ran her hand back over her hair, “Uh, they only let one person up there with her. Safety thing.”

:rofl

Quote:
Tara nodded.

“Every word.”

:wtkiss

Quote:
“Has Colonel Carrot been making an appearance lately?” Tara asked softly as she closed her eyes.

“Only when Major Mushroom can’t keep them in line,” Willow murmured in reply, “Night, baby.”

:laugh Great ending to the chapter.

Sorry

We already talked this out so I know we get each other but I'm always happy to discuss aspects of my fic! Actually there was a point in Inevitable where I made a minor character die because she died in canon and I wanted to stick to it. A discussion on here made me realize I stuck a little too close to that storyline and could have and should have gone another way. So discussion is great and I always welcome it!

Remember that for the vows Willow. Maybe add in about being so crusty in your old age you can stand unsupported. Who said romance was dead.

:D That would be excellent vow material.

And that’s the honeymoon planned.

Boring, really.

Loved this update, didn’t occur to me that Nate and Willow hadn’t really met.

There was probably a wave or very brief introduction at the Bronze or something but no, they wouldn't really have ever socialized.

Quote:
Nates longing for Tara-ness was sad to see still but he was respectful which was good. I love that Willow kept her jealousy in check, she’s definitely maturing.

She is. And she can't really blame Nate when it took her years to get her act together with loving Tara too - and she gets to be the winner.

The image of Xander in only an elephant cock sock is going to haunt my dreams so thank you for that disturbing picture!

Like GrimCityGirl I'm proud of Willow for swiftly overcoming her sparks of jealousy and just being happy that Tara could enjoy this visit from Nate (as her oldest friend apart from Willow).

I love the Willow that can celebrate everything about Tara without insecurity, including this friendship as it will linger as we know.

Them almost getting caught in the act by the assistant manager was a comical situation but in my opinion it's very inappropriate behaviour for an employer to follow an employee into the bathroom and engage her / him in conversation while she / he is in the stall! Ever watched Ally McBeal? Bathrooms are practically social clubs :lol

Weird that Tara finds that plea inappropriate but didn't bat an eyelid about Ronan's bathroom invasion...

:bigkiss So great that Willow got to enjoy getting that song serenaded to her by Tara again and only feeling overwhelming love instead of the overwhelming panic of being outed against her will like the first time she witnessed "Insect Reflection" perform that song in "Inevitable".

Yes I love that Willow got to go full circle with this song

It is tough and even more so for an angsty musician who thinks he could never do better than Tara (I mean he's not wrong but he could still find someone). I think unfortunately his women will be 'fleeting' for a while but I have hopes for him settling...eventually.

The Next Morning

Livin' In Ruins Of A Palace Within My Dreams
And You Know We're On Each Other's Team

Willow woke first the next morning which wasn’t unusual as Tara slept heavily after expending all of the energy her shows required.

Willow didn’t mind; she liked to let the sun warm the back of her eyelids and feel Tara’s body close. She scooted back into her girlfriend and Tara’s arm fell at her waist.

Willow placed her hand over Tara’s hand on her stomach and lightly linked their fingers together.

She didn’t think heaven could be better than this.

She couldn’t wait for the semester to be over so she could move in fully. And with Fred transferring to UCLA Willow could still meet up with her if she wanted. It also meant Willow didn’t feel guilty about leaving Fred with a prospective horror of a roommate. It had been a fun, exciting, and great year for her academic advancement but she didn’t need to sleep on campus to continue to experience all of that.

She did need to wake up to Tara’s face any more for her heart and soul to continue to grow as her brain had.

Somewhere, she heard a phone buzzing and since she could see hers charging on the nightstand next to her, she deduced it was Tara’s.

When it didn’t stop, she started to glance over her shoulder to see where it was but was distracted by Tara’s piercing blue eyes opening with a sleepy haze.

“Hey,” Tara smiled softly.

“Hey, you,” Willow returned and turned over gently to kiss her.

She cupped Tara’s cheek and pulled Tara’s bottom lip between her own.

She felt a little moan vibrate into her mouth and it spent sparks of arousal to fizzle below her stomach all the way to her toes. Her hand dropped to Tara’s hip and tugged her gently. Their hips knocked together, causing an increase in the pace of their kiss while Willow’s hand slipped behind Tara’s sleep cami to caress her lower back.

She felt Tara shiver in response to her touch and her own body responded with another; wracking through her and making every inch of her skin feel empty from Tara’s absence. To remedy this, she rolled on top of Tara; moaning as their tops rode up together and they touched stomachs.

Their lips parted and they locked eyes; each mirroring the others’ arousal with a deep, glassy exchange. Tara bit the corner of her lip and Willow flooded between her legs, suddenly feeling sticky. Her hips pushed toward Tara instinctively who dipped a finger into Willow’s shorts and brushed the back of her fingers against Willow’s mound.

Willow’s eyes shut tight as she tried to shift her hips in such a way that Tara’s hand would move down further, but Tara curled her fingers back out. Willow moaned in frustration this time.

Tara smirked.

It drove Willow wild.

She crushed her mouth against Tara’s again and grabbed two fistfuls of Tara’s shirt, pulling at it and somehow working it over Tara’s head. One hand held her weight, splayed out above Tara’s shoulder while the other went straight for boob; palming it like a stress ball but with a gentler grip and just the pleasant zing of Willow’s short fingernails indenting in Tara’s skin.

It was Tara’s turn to try and squirm out of her shorts but Willow was almost shaking with her need to touch and didn’t have the willpower to tease. She plunged her hand into Tara’s shorts and coated her fingers in Tara’s awaiting arousal.

Tara’s neck arched into the pillows and Willow happily munched on the offered skin, causing Tara’s thighs to clamp around Willow. She used the opportunity to create her own friction and ground down on Willow’s hand.

“Oh baby,” she moaned softly, running her hands down Willow’s hair.

She felt Willow’s hand tugging against her thighs and opened them enough for Willow to slide into her opening.

Tara’s eyes rolled back into her head, as did Willow’s when Tara’s inner muscles squeezed her like they were screaming but there was nothing but the quiet moans being exchanged between them.

Tara began to claw at Willow’s top, getting it over her head so it flopped around the wrist of the hand that was plunging inside her. She rolled them on their sides and Willow briefly withdrew for a brief moment to toss her tank top from her wrist before reentering Tara right as Tara ducked her head to take Willow’s nipple in her mouth.

Willow’s lower jaw started to shake and she placed it over Tara’s shoulder; lightly mouthing her skin and peppering her with little nibbles. Tara’s hips started to quicken and Willow could feel her hotting up from the inside.

Tara lifted her head and buried it into Willow’s neck while taking handfuls of Willow’s back; smoothing the skin out again in sync with the ebb and flow of her inner tension.

“Willow,” she groaned, her arousal spilling out past Willow’s wrist, “I’m gonna…”

Her body tensed for a long second and then jerked with a hitched breath. Her neck was thrown back and she pumped her hips into Willow’s hand to draw out every last second.

Willow drew fingers out in slow curls; watching each flicker on Tara’s face with fascination as her inner muscles mirrored them inside. She watched Tara’s teeth slowly drag across her lower lip until finally, her eyes popped open; glassy with satiation this time.

Willow flicked her fingers out at the next curl but kept her hand there to cup Tara so they could both enjoy the little aftershocks. Willow pressed a kiss to the corner of Tara’s lips and Tara let a lazy palm come to Willow’s cheek to turn their faces together and kiss properly.

Willow allowed a languid tongue to enter her mouth and felt her nipples tighten. Tara seemed to feel this somehow too as fingers were quickly on Willow's breasts; pinching her sensitive nipples until she couldn’t sustain the kiss any longer from panting.

Tara ducked her head and pressed a kiss to each of Willow’s nipples, then quickly rolled over to her side of the bed to grab her water bottle for some quick re-hydration. Willow apparently could take this tortuous seconds-long break as she crawled over to Tara and began kissing her breasts.

Tara quickly gulped down her water and left it back on her nightstand before grabbing Willow’s cheeks to pull her up to kiss.

She maneuvered her back up against the wall and pulled Willow into her lap; legs spread in a ‘v’ with Willow’s knees at either of Tara’s hips. Willow’s shorts still hindered her so she whipped them off with some helpful wiggling from her girlfriend. Immediately Willow began rubbing a wet trail on Tara’s stomach.

Tara stroked her hands down Willow’s body and took a firm hold of her rear.

Willow released a quick, guttural moan into Tara’s mouth and pulled away from the kiss, only to tease Tara with fake kisses and little nips at her lips.

Tara spread Willow’s cheeks and squeezed them, causing Willow to make a biting motion and lean in to slip her tongue into Tara’s mouth. Tara tugged Willow in as close as she could; shuffling her hips forward so Willow could wrap her legs around her.

She slipped her hand between their bodies and brushed her fingers on Willow’s mound again but this time she didn’t stop. Two fingers easily glided through Willow’s lips and found her overflowing opening eager to welcome her.

Willow trembled as Tara entered her; throwing her arms around Willow’s neck to take in every inch of what was being offered.

“More,” she begged, shamelessly panting and thrusting her chest into Tara’s face.

She groaned as a third finger stretched her deliciously and started to bounce with unrestrained pleasure. She felt Tara’s mouth on her neck and chest and just like she was everywhere at once.

She sustained this delightful interlude of pleasure for a few minutes but once Tara’s thumb came up to attend to her clit, it was the beginning of the end. She was closing her eyes; ready to give herself over to the abyss when Tara forced their foreheads together and with that, Willow’s eyes to open too.

With Tara’s gaze locked on hers, Willow felt a ball of pleasure inside her crumple to the tightest ball in her stomach.

It pulsed and she whimpered.

Tara pushed her thumb up on Willow’s clit one more time and that ball stretched to every last nerve ending inside her; electrifying her inside as her pleasure poured from the inside out.

Willow was gone, so Tara took the opportunity to look down and enjoy the sight of Willow’s pleasure so abundant and warm as it spilled onto her thighs.

Willow slumped against Tara but it was easy to hold her there with her legs still encasing Tara.

Eventually, Willow showed signs of consciousness with little kisses on Tara’s shoulder.

Tara nuzzled Willow’s cheek with her nose and their faces turned together to kiss softly.

“You are amazing,” Willow murmured softly.

“I simply mirror my love,” Tara replied and suckled on Willow’s bottom lip.

“Well tell her she’s a rockstar,” Willow giggled and Tara returned it.

They eventually slid back into a lying position with Willow resting her head on Tara’s chest, examining the little love bites she’d left there that no one else would ever see.

After a few moments, she heard that same buzzing that had been annoying her earlier.

“Your phone keeps vibrating,” she breathed softly against Tara’s breast.

“Check it for me?” Tara requested with closed eyes and one hand stroking Willow’s hair, “I’m too comfortable.”

Willow complied; she was in reach and would have streaked naked down the street if Tara asked right at that moment.

She flicked open Tara’s screen and put in the pin she already knew.

She checked the notifications and noticed it was mostly social media and a few emails.

“Your DMs are blowing up,” she explained as she used her thumb to navigate.

“Is it the hot singles in my area again?” Tara murmured with a grin Willow didn’t have to see to know was there, “Tell them I can't talk until my girlfriend leaves.”

“You’re sooo funny,” Willow retorted sarcastically, but started to frown as she took in all of the content she was seeing, “No, baby, look.”

“Mmm?” Tara asked, utterly uninterested in anything a phone could offer right now.

Willow sat up straight and started scrolling faster.

“Nate tweeted about you last night.”

“Oh?” Tara asked, uninterested; just enjoying the view of Willow’s rippling back muscles.

Willow scooted back and Tara’s gaze was very much focused on her breasts.

“Tara, look.”

“Oh, I’m looking,” Tara replied, licking her lips lightly.

Willow shoved Tara’s phone in her face. Tara swatted her off.

“Darling, it’s Sunday morning. Whatever it is can wait until we’re finished snuggling.”

“Uh, no it can’t!” Willow protested, “Look.”

With a slight roll of her eyes, Tara took the phone and looked at it.

She began to frown.

“I…don’t understand.”

Willow used her finger to show Tara the DM senders that scrolled all the way off-screen.

“All of the clubs in L.A. are asking how to book you for their DJ nights. This one wants to book you for a festival!”

Tara blinked rapidly.

“…why?”

“Nate tweeted about you!” Willow repeated, her face lighting up excitedly, “He said how good you are and that everyone should book you…and now everyone is trying to book you!”

Tara rubbed one eye with the heel of her hand.

“It’s just a joke though, right?”

“No!” Willow shook her head, “These are legit. Look at the pages! These are job offers.”

“They haven’t even heard me,” Tara replied with a furrowed brow.

“People posted videos of the show last night under Nate’s tweet,” Willow explained, showing Tara the original tweet, “He retweeted them.”

Tara’s eyes bugged at the numbers under the tweet.

Image

Willow got closer and rubbed Tara’s shoulder.

“Baby, this is exciting. You might even be able to do what you talked about yesterday, DJ full time without the restaurant.”

“I-I think you’re getting ahead of yourself,” Tara brushed it off and placed her phone screen-down, “They’ll probably all cancel once it blows over.”

“Why would we let it blow over?” Willow asked with a frown, “We have to capitalize on this.”

Tara arched an eyebrow.

“We?”

“Well, yeah,” Willow replied somewhat bashfully, “You make the music and I’ll help you with all the organizing stuff. That is my forte. I can have so many different colored spreadsheets!”

She gulped and looked away.

“I’m sorry, I’m overstepping.”

Tara reached up and turned Willow’s chin to her.

“Darling, you are so sweet to offer. But I can’t sink into your time like that.”

Willow frowned again and looked contemplative for a moment.

“What if this is just a whirlwind?” she asked eventually, looking at Tara earnestly, “I don’t think it is because you’re amazing. But say you’re right and it is. Then let’s pump as much cash from it for you as we can. Let’s pay your tuition!”

Tara smiled at Willow’s energy.

“I love your faith in me.”

Willow offered Tara an unwavering gaze.

“You’ve always been…” she stopped and swallowed, “Like a guiding light to help me through a darkest hour.”

She reached out and touched Tara’s cheek.

“I have nothing but faith in you.”

Tara swallowed softly. Willow brushed her fingers down off Tara’s neck.

“Can I ask you to have some faith in me?” she asked and continued off Tara’s confused looks, “Let me do this. Let me do my techy thing and make this happen for you. That is if you want to play all of these shows.”

Tara looked down.

“I don’t think I’m good enough yet.”

Willow grasped Tara’s hand in hers.

“But I know you are,” she replied emphatically, “So will you have a little faith in me?”

Tara looked up, swallowed, and offered a little smile.

“Will you come back and snuggle me if I say ‘yes’?”

Willow beamed and dropped back to curl into Tara’s side.

“Hey, do you have any more insect reflection t-shirts? I bet they’d sell like hotcakes.”

“Sshh,” Tara insisted gently and hugged Willow closer to her.

Willow shushed obediently, at least out loud, and let her cheek rest on Tara’s breast.

Eventually, Tara was unable to take the sheer volume of Willow’s mind and got up to shower. When she returned wrapped in a towel, Willow was already on her laptop, happily tapping away.

“Tara, this is great, you don’t even have to accept their opening offers, you have negotiating power.”

“Willow,” Tara warned lightly as she ran a brush through her hair, “We’ll take what we’re offered. I do not need a reputation as having a big head.”

“Okay, okay,” Willow acquiesced, “At least some of these places have fancy bathrooms you can screw me in after.”

Tara groaned and dropped onto the bed, holding her head in her hands.

“Last night seriously was the last time.”

“Sure, sure,” Willow grinned as she typed, “Sure, sure. Hey, you should tweet back Nate. It’s good for optics.”

“‘Optics’? Tara looked over with a raised eyebrow.

Willow looked over with a grin.

“My business classes are really coming in handy.”

Tara could only smile softly. She laid back and took her phone for the first time.

Upon seeing the many, many, many notifications, her breath hitched sharply. She’d seen Willow scroll through the DMs but there were endless comments and tags of videos of her playing.

She quickly wrote back a message to Nate that she hoped didn’t show she was slightly overwhelmed with all of this.

Image

Within a minute she saw the little notification tab light up again. She pressed on it and read a sweet message from Willow.

Image

She turned her head toward her girlfriend, swung her legs off her bed, and walked over to throw her arms around Willow’s neck from behind.

“I am so lucky,” she whispered and kissed the side of Willow’s head.

Willow reached up with one arm and bent it behind Tara’s head.

“I think you’re talking about me.”

Tara pressed three more kisses on Willow’s ear.

“How about we call it a draw?”

Willow spun around in the chair and pulled Tara into her lap. She kissed her softly and slowly and when they parted, lightly tapped the corner of Tara’s rear that wasn’t sitting on her.

“Now get-to-it, woman! You’re about to work your cute little butt off.”

This will never get old. Unlike the singles in my area.

The low standards are rising, wait until she only gets a taste for ones with an attendant in.

So that’s how social media is meant to work. There was me thinking I was meant to take pictures at obscure angles inside their house and send the pictures to them throughout the evening to make them think they have a Dub in their house. Then right before they go to sleep reveal if I am in fact in their house.

Damn dude, that was hot.

Also, super glad DJ Tarot is gettin’ some attention - hope she passes that good fortune on to the DJs who helped her out, she’s had some great help.

Loved the update!

Tara's plan in the last chapter:
Quote:
“I’m thinking a slow, morning roll in the hay after a very well-earned night’s sleep.”

Check! (Although there was no hay involved :wink )

Yay to Nate for using his popularity for helping to kickstart Tara's DJ career - and to the club visitors for backing his praise up with videos from her performance!

Quote:
“Your DMs are blowing up,” she explained as she used her thumb to navigate.

“Is it the hot singles in my area again?” Tara murmured with a grin Willow didn’t have to see to know was there, “Tell them I can't talk until my girlfriend leaves.”

:lol I love cheeky Tara!

Quote:
Willow scooted back and Tara’s gaze was very much focused on her breasts.

“Tara, look.”

“Oh, I’m looking,” Tara replied, licking her lips lightly.

So Tara is a breast girl, too.

Quote:

Seems to me that Willow will soon have her first job: Tara's manager. Her enthusiasm about the "different colored spreadsheets" (logical advance from the "different colored pens") is so adorable! :bigkiss

Quote:

Awww! :flower :bigkiss
(Now I have Jon Bon Jovi's song from the movie "New Year's Eve" stuck in my head "Have a little faith in me!").

Quote:
“Hey, do you have any more insect reflection t-shirts? I bet they’d sell like hotcakes.”

“Sshh,” Tara insisted gently and hugged Willow closer to her.

Willow shushed obediently, at least out loud, and let her cheek rest on Tara’s breast.

Eventually, Tara was unable to take the sheer volume of Willow’s mind and got up to shower.

:laugh Proof how in tune the girls are which each other that Tara can practically "hear" the volume of Willow's mind.

Quote:
“Okay, okay,” Willow acquiesced, “At least some of these places have fancy bathrooms you can screw me in after.”

Tara groaned and dropped onto the bed, holding her head in her hands.

“Last night seriously was the last time.”

“Sure, sure,” Willow grinned as she typed, “Sure, sure.

:rofl Sure, sure, Tara!

Quote:

:bigkiss I love them being so absolutely in love and happy with each other!

I am so very behind on everything - but I wanted to just leave a brief note on the Nate/DJ Tarot update.... after I burn out my eyes from reading about Xander in a cock sock - shudder. lol

I really loved this chapter- I always love the ones where we see Tara play- you describe the feeling so viscerally and there is nothing like that bliss of being in that soul deep creative space

Nate was a bit more.... forward I guess than I had anticipated- the 'we were more than that' line seemed like he was hinting at more than their being bandmates and friends... he clearly still loves her (and as Willow knows, who can blame him) but I did appreciate that he didn't, ultimately, push and seems like he is handling fame with humility and grace

Yay for bringing back Secret Boo!! And Willow's reaction to it now, we constantly get to see how much they grow and it is lovely

Quote:
She’d gone through the exact same process; hit every branch on the way down and sometimes hit Tara with those branches too and yet Tara still chose her. She could imagine it felt unfair. But it wasn’t. Because those branches always belonged to the same roots; hers and Tara’s, forever entwined.
. beautiful metaphor and imagery!

I look forward to more although at the moment am skipping the smut (not in the headspace for it and at my mom's house with my brother- no matter how old I get I just can't mix these things lol)

Really enjoyed this chapter and the solid, constant ground our girls stand on

I get warnings now, privileged. Thanks for the heads up.

No worries! I will try to shoot you one when relevant.

Quote:
This will never get old. Unlike the singles in my area.

I think computer-phobic canon Tara would have been very amused and scandalized by the 'hot singles in your area' thing.

Quote:
*Sniff* - Computer says no, due to technology and spreadsheet hatred. Although I think Willow is on a computer at the time of discussing the pen situation. hmmm - Canon adjacent - Triangle. No the computer was 'I was made to love you', yep Carol Beer-ing it - Computer says no.

I always imagined Willow amusing herself with MS Word Art and the link in the day. Or dragging those error messages so they all overlap each other. Hours of fun.

Quote:
The low standards are rising, wait until she only gets a taste for ones with an attendant in.

There may have been some making out in a fancy hotel room in Inevitable...but an attendant! Now there's a god-awful idea that I could possibly turn into comedy.

You're thinking of horror movies. Although there is a lot of overlap.

I have traumatized a lot of kittens with that image.

I always love to transfer Tara's natural passion and skill in magic into non-supernatural worlds and this feels like the closest I've ever gotten.

Quote:

Nate's 'progression' is interesting to me - when he wrote Flower Girl, it was meant to be him letting those feelings go. But then it went and made him famous and he has to sing it at every show he ever does. I imagined that angsty rockstar brooding would quickly make those feelings seem like more than they were, or the connection was more than it was. I do have a point of 'closure' I plan to happen, but Nate will have to suffer through those tortured artist feelings for a while yet!

Quote:
Yay for bringing back Secret Boo!! And Willow's reaction to it now, we constantly get to see how much they grow and it is lovely

I'm glad you enjoyed it because I really enjoyed imagining Willow dancing and grinning and bopping along to this song that had distressed her so much before.

No problem, no one ever needs an excuse as to why something isn't for them! I'll try and give a warning for future chapters.

A Blast From The Past

You Live, You Learn

Willow shook the bar manager’s hand and slipped the envelope he handed her into her inside pocket.

“Thanks. And, uh, which way am I going?”

He pointed her in the direction of the stage as she didn’t know her way around this new venue. With a little bit of confusion lost amongst the curtains, she eventually found her way to the DJ podium where Tara was setting up.

She brushed her hand behind Tara’s back and walked to the opposite corner of the podium so she could set up the little fold-up table Tara had for her water out of the way of any accidental spilling on expensive equipment.

“Got your Benjamins.”

Tara turned as she tied her hair up to keep it out of her face.

“I think I’ve officially paid you back now for the decks.”

Willow came over and helped Tara make the ponytail tight so she wouldn’t have little hairs irritating her mid-mix.

“And then some.”

Tara’s bank balance was thriving with all of the extra gigs she’d taken off after Nate’s exposure but her work/life balance: not so much. If college wasn’t closing out for the summer soon, she would be heading toward burnout.

Not that anyone would know it when she was up on that stage. They were too busy being mesmerized.

Willow cupped Tara’s cheek gently.

“And I don’t even charge for the kisses.”

She kissed Tara softly, allowing them to have a peaceful moment before the momentum of the show.

Willow put her hands on Tara’s shoulders and rubbed them.

“You are absolutely killing it. I got another repeat performance request for you today. Do you think maybe it’s time you dropped the restaurant and gave yourself a bit of a break?”

Tara shook her head.

“Not until I know I’m not riding a wave.”

“Aren’t we all just riding a wave?” Willow asked earnestly, stroking her thumb over Tara’s eyebrow and seeing the exhaustion she only allowed Willow to see.

“No,” Tara shook her head, “You’re very much my anchor.”

Willow smiled softly and pecked Tara’s lips again.

“Well, at least school is finishing up next week. And that means…” she trailed off as she bounced excitedly, “I get to officially move in!”

“I can’t wait,” Tara squeezed Willow’s hands.

She looked behind herself at the clock on her laptop.

“I’m on in three.”

Willow linked their fingers and squeezed them.

“Good luck baby, I love you. I’ll be watching the whole time.”

Tara threw one arm then the other around Willow and pulled her in tight.

“I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Willow nuzzled Tara’s neck.

“A lot better than I’d do without you.”

Another manager came up to check if Tara was good to go, so Willow retreated with a double thumbs up and found her way to the bar to order a soda.

She’d toured quite a few of L.A.’s bars and clubs in the few weeks since Tara’s DJ schedule was suddenly so in demand but had never found one with quite the same charm as Deli’s.

This place was…okay. Willow wasn’t sure she would have been granted entry were it not for Tara’s association. Everyone stood around tables with no seating and it had the kind of trendy lighting that softened people’s features and didn’t strain the eye. Cocktails lined the bar and the seatless tables and Willow got a bit of a look for ordering a plain soda.

She wasn’t about to torpedo Tara’s burgeoning career by being caught drinking underage.

As she sipped on her drink and tried to find a spot in the crowd to watch the show, she was struck by the biggest difference from Deli’s: it just wasn’t as welcoming. She felt like even the furniture was judging her. It was the kind of place people came to just to be seen entering.

As the strobe lighting started indicating Tara’s impending performance, the floor suddenly filled. Willow grinned proudly, not just because of her girlfriend’s popularity but because Willow’s social media game had been 'lit' in promoting her if she did say so herself. She reveled in this role of organization and promotion and the fact that she got to do it for Tara’s benefit made it all the sweeter.

She hadn’t even cared when her last term paper only got an A instead of an A+ because of the time she had dedicated to ferrying Tara around from show to show and hours spent on the computer making sure it all came together. She was just so buzzed to see Tara get the kind of recognition Willow always knew she deserved.

Nate had always overshadowed her somewhat during Insect Reflection and Willow thought it was poetic justice that it was a little push into the limelight from Nate that sparked all of this.

Tara still asserted that this would blow over but the emails kept coming and Willow had her booked at least three days a week well into the summer. They were even going to Burning Man! There wouldn’t be any payment but it was a major coup to even be asked.

And despite her protests, Tara was obviously getting excited too. She’d started to add her own design to a website Willow had set up for inquiries and had created a cool calling card based on a tarot card of the Goddess Tara. Behind in her own schoolwork, while she settled into her new schedule, she’d even submitted it as a design for her graphic design classes and gotten a good grade on it too, bumping her confidence.

Willow decided to hang out at the back and lean against the wall; the only quietly gay action she could conceive of in this almost overwhelmingly heterosexual environment. She gave a little smug smile and popped her foot up behind her.

Tara’s show began with some classic, pumping music; the kind that only fueled the erotic desires being expressed on the floor.

Ooh I feel love, the song crooned with the added modern beat Tara was mixing with it and Willow thought, how better a way to describe Tara’s sound, I feel love.

She closed her eyes to enjoy the electricity she could feel as if Tara and she had a copper wire joined directly between them. As she was enjoying the whole-body, transcendental experience that inhabited her no matter how many shows she attended, she felt the weight of a body push her up even further against the wall.

“Ugh, watch where you’re going,” a whiny voice shouted out.

Willow’s eyes burst open with fury.

“You bumped into me!”

The woman in question spun around and arched an eyebrow.

“Willow?”

It took a moment for Willow’s senses to pick up exactly who it was, but when she did, she felt her whole world shrivel.

“Cordelia.”

“What are you doing here?” Cordelia asked with her nose scrunched, “I didn’t think you’d ever graduate from The Bronze on a Thursday night. This is, like, the hottest show in town.”

“Yeah, I know,” Willow replied smugly and decided she had let Cordelia Chase make her feel small for the last time, “I know the DJ.”

Cordelia suddenly clicked her fingers.

“Nate’s chick, like, lived across the street from you.”

“She is not Nate’s chick,” Willow spat petulantly.

“Yeah, I heard she’s a giant lesbo,” Cordelia chuckled.

“She is,” Willow replied, her eyes and voice staying steady, “Right along with me.”

Cordelia’s eyes widened as she sipped her drink through a tiny straw.

“Well, that's great! Good for you.”

Willow couldn’t help but recall the childhood taunting that had held her back from loving Tara and embracing any kind of self-love for so long.

“Thanks for the affirmation,” she replied flatly.

Cordelia’s eyes suddenly brightened.

“Hey, can you get me up there? Like to take a selfie?” she asked, flashing her white teeth, “I’m up for a role in a sitcom and it would be like, so good for my brand to get a picture with DJ Tarot.”

Someone rose in Willow; a feeling of power over someone who had only ever made her feel powerless.

“I don’t think that’s going to work out,” she said in a smarmy tone, holding herself high, “By the way, nice dress. Good to know you’ve seen the softer side of sears!”

She spun on her heels as Cordelia just looked confused, as if she had no idea she’d just been insulted or that she’d ever said the same words to Willow before.

Willow knew though and walked away with her chin so high it was almost parallel with the ceiling. She confidently ordered a half lemonade, half sprite, and a dash of grenadine and a cherry on top and started drinking it at the bar acting like she owned the whole place.

It was a few songs later when the adrenaline of the encounter left her that her insides started to niggle at her.

Sure, Cordelia had been the source of a years-long self-hatred that almost jeopardized her entire relationship with Tara — not to mention with herself — and had continued to torment her beyond that but she’d move on from that. She’d worked hard and now she’d made that work look pointless by throwing it all back at the first opportunity. Cordelia had gone through some shit too and was just doing her best to make it.

She felt sorry for Cordelia, honestly, as she watched her sway in the middle of the crowd, alone. She knew her parents had been kicked out of the country club and their house had been repossessed. They lived in a little apartment outside Sunnydale now.

She watched as Cordelia stole someone’s olives from their martini when they weren’t looking and frowned.

She spent much of Tara’s show with an inner conflict between her old and new selves but only one was ever going to win. The one that was an out and proud lesbo and girlfriend of the ‘hottest show in town’.

Willow knew Tara’s set and so on the last song, she weaved through the crowd to find Cordelia again. She tapped her lightly on the shoulder.

“Do you want a selfie with Tara?” she shouted when Cordelia turned.

Cordelia squealed excitedly.

“I always knew you were cool,” she said, showing off more unnaturally bright teeth.

“You sure never showed it,” Willow muttered.

She wasn’t sure if Cordelia heard, or if she even could, but near the base of the DJ platform, she brushed her hand on Willow’s arm.

“Hey, I’m, uh, sorry,” she said, her lips thin, “For being a bitch sometimes. But did you ever actually look in a mirror before you came to class?”

Willow rolled her eyes and Cordelia winced.

“Sorry,” she held up her hands, “You should have come out sooner. If I’d known you were gay I could have understood your subversive choices more.”

“Believe me, I wish I’d come out sooner too,” Willow called back with a sigh.

The bouncer let her up the platform after a quick nod from Tara and Willow felt Cordelia almost shaking excitedly beside her.

“So how long have you two been, like, bumping Cheerios?” she asked from behind, “Maybe Fruit Loops in your case.”

“I’ve been in love with her since I was four years old,” Willow answered definitively right as Tara let the last beat drop with a resounding cheer.

Willow watched as the crowd, who couldn’t even be seen from this height but sure could be heard, erupted and smiled at the demure acceptance of the praise from Tara. She simply bowed her head as she caught her breath. Willow quickly blocked Cordelia with her arm when she tried to step forward.

When the energy died down enough that Willow knew Tara would be receptive to this engagement, she held out her hands. Tara took them and allowed herself to be pulled to Willow, who kissed both her cheeks and gave her a little peck on her lips. Silent praise passed through the kiss and Willow bumped their noses once before pulling back to gesture at Cordelia.

“Tara, you have a fan.”

“Oh,” Tara replied in surprise, “Oh, well it’s very nice to meet you.”

Cordelia rushed forward and took Tara’s offered hand with both of her hands.

“It’s, like, the coolest to be here. And I practically knew you when!”

Tara glanced at Willow in confusion.

“This is, uh, Cordelia Chase,” Willow explained with a purposefully raised eyebrow.

Tara stalled for a moment, eyes widening, but Willow just gave a slight nod.

“Well,” Tara continued, wiping her palm against her pants, “I’ve sure heard a lot about you.”

Cordelia laughed raucously and produced her phone.

“Can we do a selfie? Don’t worry, I’ll favor the filter for you.”

“Oh, um,” Tara blinked quickly, “Yeah, sure?”

She looked at the camera and smiled while a quick flash went off. Cordelia reviewed it and squealed again.

“I’ll tag you!”

“Okay,” Tara agreed with a forced smile.

The bouncer came to take Cordelia off as the bar was closing.

“Willow has my number! Totes call me for your next show,” Cordelia called back, “GREAT to see you again, gay Willow!”

“I…don’t have her number,” Willow shook her head softly as Cordelia was led out of sight.

Tara looked at Willow questioningly.

Willow shrugged.

“It was a nice thing to do.”

Tara smiled softly and kissed Willow’s cheek.

“Well, one good thing…” she said with a sideways smirk, “Encountering her has definitely taken away the need to screw out my post-show euphoria.”

“I thought you said ‘good thing’,” Willow pouted, “That’s the last time I do a nice thing for an old arch enemy.”

Tara laughed and put an arm around Willow as she grabbed her water bottle.

“Good show?”

“GREAT show,” Willow confirmed, “The crowd was frickin’ huge. I think I heard the bartender say they had to turn people away. We might even be able to break away from club nights and sell ticketed shows!”

Tara put her hand gently over Willow’s eyes.

“Ssh, Willow-brain. Baby steps.”

Willow turned and rested her head on Tara’s chest.

“I know. I’m just so excited for you.”

“And I love that you are,” Tara replied, softly kissing Willow’s head.

There was some throat-clearing from somewhere behind and the manager politely informed them they were shutting up shop. They packed up and got everything into the car. Willow drove because it was late and Tara’s eyes were strained from all the screens and lights.

They didn’t dare leave any equipment in the car, especially since Tara had now officially paid it off, so there was one last hike to the apartment before they could crash.

Tara was out cold before she could even brush her teeth but Willow didn’t care.

She’d always kiss her girlfriend in the morning.

“So nice to see old friends,” Willow read aloud, shaking her head, “That’s seriously what Cordelia captioned that picture. Can you believe the nerve?”

“After everything you’ve told me, yes,” Tara answered as she rubbed the empty space in the bed beside her, “Come back to bed. This is my only day off. I want to enjoy it.”

Willow bounced back onto the bed with her focus still on her phone.

“She’s getting a bunch of likes. Hah. Harmony — I’ve told you about Harmony, right? — commented. ‘You won’t give up until you kill me to death’ and a bunch of laugh emojis. Once a hanger-on, always a hanger-on.”

“Willow,” Tara chided softly, “I know you want to do the social media thing but can you do it quietly and let me spoon you?”

Willow put her phone on her chest, pecked Tara’s lips, and turned to be willingly spooned.

Tara wrapped her body around Willow’s from behind and rested her chin on Willow’s shoulder. Willow continued to do her morning browse and scoff lightly at seeing all of the people who patently ignored her in high school rush to try and latch onto Cordelia and her apparent connection to Tara.

When she was all huffed out and had smugly posted multiple photos of her and Tara in closer poses than Cordelia could ever hope for, she’d decided she’d engaged in enough pettiness and was ready to resume full snuggle mode.

Upon turning toward Tara she realized her girlfriend had fallen back asleep. Willow was glad. Tara deserved as much rest as she could muster. She slipped out of Tara’s arms and immediately Miss Kitty jumped up to take her place. The kitten curled into Tara and nuzzled under Tara’s chin.

Willow leaned down to kiss Tara’s head and scratch Miss Kitty’s ears.

“Good girl, stay with your Mama.”

Miss Kitty stretched right out, indicating her agreement to Willow’s request.

Willow went out to the kitchen and started making lunch for them. People didn’t tend to send business emails on a Sunday so Willow didn’t even feel like she needed to be constantly checking. This really was the one chance they all had to switch off.

There was some leftover rice from their Chinese take-out the night before so Willow took some chicken from their Thai take-out the night before that and started to fry it all up together with whatever they had left in the vegetable crisper; some green onion and half a bell pepper, as well as a handful of peas from the freezer.

Admittedly, regular trips to the grocery store had waned over the last few weeks.

As she stirred it all together, Tara walked out smiling and stretching.

“What smells so good?”

Her arms fell in front of her and Willow found it adorable.

“I call it take-out medley à la Willow,” she said and bent her head back so Tara could kiss her from behind as she approached, “Luckily we didn’t get pizza, or I may have done some questionable things with the pepperoni.”

Tara chuckled as she wrapped her arms around Willow’s middle and rested her chin on Willow’s shoulder.

“Well, it looks and smells like a symphony of leftover delight.”

“Grab some plates?” Willow requested and enjoyed the sensation of Tara’s front pressing into her back as she reached up to retrieve the dishes, “You want an egg on top?”

“Sure,” Tara agreed and opened the fridge, “Except…I’m not sure we have any.”

“Aha!” Willow spun around and Tara momentarily took over stirring the fried rice.

Willow bent down to a lower cabinet and removed a giant Tupperware; then from behind it, she pulled out a little basket with some foodstuffs like an open bag of chips, the curry ketchup she liked, a box of Lucky Charms, Oreos, peanut butter and helpfully, eggs.

“Anya kept stealing my stuff,” Willow explained as she brought the basket up, “I knew it wasn’t you because you always ask, even though you don’t have to and can have my stuff anytime you want.”

“Then why didn’t you tell me about your sneaky basket stash?” Tara asked with an arched eyebrow.

“A girl is allowed her secrets,” Willow grinned, holding the basket under her arm, “But I guess I liked having a part of this place that was just…mine.”

She looked down.

“Does that make sense at all?”

Tara kissed Willow’s temple.

“Sure it does. And soon you will have every bit as much of this place as I do.”

“And Anya, unfortunately,” Willow grumbled and set the basket down so she could take two eggs, “So this is our sneaky basket stash now, okay?”

“Deal,” Tara smiled as she heated a little oil to fry the eggs in.

Willow hid the basket again and started to plate up the rice for Tara to lift the eggs onto.

They sat at the table in an ‘L’ shape and made no rush to eat, unlike a lot of their meals together since Willow had come up from Claremont.

“It’s nice to appreciate the sedate,” Tara said with a bashful smile, “Everything is so go-go-go. A-and I like it. It reminds me of the thrill of traveling. But this. This is nice too.”

“Reminds me of our down days,” Willow replied with the same look on her face, “When we’d hang a sheet or get a private room just to, uh, chill.”

“I remember heating up more than chilling out,” Tara offered a crooked grin.

Willow giggled; her tongue sticking out between her teeth. Tara reached over and brushed her fingers on Willow’s cheek.

“I love you.”

“Love you,” Willow echoed and they joined hands atop the table.

When they finished their lunch they left their dishes in the sink to deal with later as some Sunday cuddling in front of the TV was in order.

“What do you want to watch?” Tara asked as she took the remote, “The Discovery Channel has koala bears.”

Before Willow could answer, Anya burst through the door and backed up against it, lightly panting.

“…Anya?” Tara asked with a slightly furrowed brow, “…are you okay?”

Anya took a step forward, fixed her hair, and came toward the other two.

“I have awful news.”

Tara tensed as Anya flopped dramatically back onto the couch.

“I’m moving back to Sunnydale.”

It took everything Willow had not to whoop at this ‘awful news’. She did her best to make murmuring disappointed sounds as Tara sat forward.

“What do you mean?”

Anya shook her head.

“I need to get out of dodger stadium.”

“The phrase is just ‘get out of dodge'—” Willow started to correct, then waved a hand dismissively, “Never mind.”

“I may have pissed off one too many ex-boyfriends of my vengeance clients. They’ve formed a Facebook group,” Anya explained tentatively, “And what with the police coming here the other night—”

“The POLICE were here?!” Willow exclaimed, looking at Tara with wide eyes.

Tara winced.

“It was just a warning,” Anya interjected defensively.

“Because you made vengeance a career!” Willow spat out her words.

“Oh, no, actually, this was about my blog,” Anya replied casually, “Apparently it’s not legal to use stilts to look over people’s walls. Which I still say is discriminatory. What if I just needed two really long false legs?!”

Willow dropped her head into her hands and groaned.

“Anyway, the point is,” Anya continued, ignoring Willow, “I have a lot of targets on my back. I need a retreat is the best move forward.”

She looked down and shrugged one shoulder, unusually coy.

“And well, see, Xander’s just got this new apartment in Sunnydale and…”

“He asked you to move in?” Tara guessed softly.

Anya looked up and smiled. Just then Miss Kitty started weaving through her legs and she looked down with a frown.

“Plus, your cat doesn’t like me.”

“I’m sorry?” Tara asked, looking at Miss Kitty who was clearly purring up at Anya.

Anya folded her arms on her chest.

“Fine,” she replied indignantly, “I don’t like the cat. She’s only one step above a—”

She stopped to shiver.

“Bunny.”

“Why?” Willow asked, plucking Miss Kitty to give her some affection after being sullied, “She’s a delight.”

Anya’s eyes narrowed.

“I see her,” she said, fixing her steely gaze on the kitten, “Bringing her kibble out to her old stray friends.”

When Tara and Willow just exchanged confused looks, Anya gestured wildly.

“She’s a communist!’

Willow and Tara looked at each other again.

“Miss Kitty strikes me more as an antifascist,” Tara said eventually.

“Maybe an anarchist,” Willow suggested.

Tara nodded.

“She did try to scratch that delivery guy with the ‘I Hunt’ and picture of a gun t-shirt.”

Willow scowled.

“We should have let her.”

“I didn’t give him a tip,” Tara offered as consolation.

“Lesbians!” Anya suddenly stood and crossed her arms in front of each other, “We’re supposed to be focusing on me and my impending escape from the law.”

“Right,” Tara came back into the conversation, “Well, Anya, it sounds like your life would be best served in Sunnydale right now.”

Anya’s eyes unexpectedly filled up with tears.

“I’m not letting my best friend down?”

Tara stood up and shook her head. She pulled Anya into a hug.

“No. I want my best friend to be living her best life. Wherever that is.”

Anya beamed.

“I can pay up until the end of the month so you have time to find a new roommate.”

Willow lifted her hand.

“Uh, hi there. Me. I’ll be your new roommate.”

Anya rolled her eyes.

“You were moving in anyway.”

“Yeah,” Willow nodded, “So I’ll take over your rent, and Tara and I get a sweet pad all to ourselves.”

Tara raised an eyebrow at Willow joyously.

“I think that sounds like a very sweet deal indeed.”

They just stared at each other, grinning. Anya knew all was lost and threw up her arms as she walked off to her bedroom.

“I’ll be packing, if anyone cares.”

Tara sat down beside Willow and took both her hands.

“Are we crazy? Keeping a two-bed place when we could probably move out of the city and be closer to both of our schools?”

“No way,” Willow shook her head, “This is where DJ Tarot needs to be right now. And this place is a steal. Why would we ever give it up?

Tara leaned her forehead on Willow’s.

“I guess this makes this our first home.”

Willow beamed back.

“I guess it does.”

Tara’s bank balance was thriving with all of the extra gigs she’d taken off after Nate’s exposure but her work/life balance: not so much. If college wasn’t closing out for the summer soon, she would be heading toward burnout.

Quote:
“You are absolutely killing it. I got another repeat performance request for you today. Do you think maybe it’s time you dropped the restaurant and gave yourself a bit of a break?”

Tara shook her head.

“Not until I know I’m not riding a wave.”

“Aren’t we all just riding a wave?” Willow asked earnestly, stroking her thumb over Tara’s eyebrow and seeing the exhaustion she only allowed Willow to see.

“No,” Tara shook her head, “You’re very much my anchor.”

Awww to the "anchor" sentiment! :flower It's totally in character for Tara to have a hard time trusting her own success, but I hope she will dare to give up her job at the restaurant before the start of the next semester so she won't risk burnout again.

Quote:

Another proof of Willow's impressive character growth and maturity!

Quote:

And Cordelia shows some character growth too although much less graciously than Willow...

Quote:
Tara looked at Willow questioningly.

Willow shrugged.

“It was a nice thing to do.”

Tara smiled softly and kissed Willow’s cheek.

“Well, one good thing…” she said with a sideways smirk, “Encountering her has definitely taken away the need to screw out my post-show euphoria.”

“I thought you said ‘good thing’,” Willow pouted, “That’s the last time I do a nice thing for an old arch enemy.”

:lol Awww, poor Willow, not reaping a reward for her good deed!

Quote:
“Good show?”

“GREAT show,” Willow confirmed, “The crowd was frickin’ huge. I think I heard the bartender say they had to turn people away. We might even be able to break away from club nights and sell ticketed shows!”

Tara put her hand gently over Willow’s eyes.

“Ssh, Willow-brain. Baby steps.”

Willow turned and rested her head on Tara’s chest.

“I know. I’m just so excited for you.”

“And I love that you are,” Tara replied, softly kissing Willow’s head.

Those cute interactions warm my heart every single time! :bigkiss

Quote:
She slipped out of Tara’s arms and immediately Miss Kitty jumped up to take her place. The kitten curled into Tara and nuzzled under Tara’s chin.

Willow leaned down to kiss Tara’s head and scratch Miss Kitty’s ears.

“Good girl, stay with your Mama.”

Miss Kitty stretched right out, indicating her agreement to Willow’s request.

More heartwarming cuteness! :kitty :bigkiss

“The POLICE were here?!” Willow exclaimed, looking at Tara with wide eyes.

I was wondering when this would happen (info for Dub: Willow mentioned that Anya's "jobs" brought the police to their appartment in the epilogue of "Inevitable").

They just stared at each other, grinning. Anya knew all was lost and threw up her arms as she walked off to her bedroom.

:laugh
Very sweet of Anya to worry she could let Tara down by moving out and even offering to continue paying rent the rest of the month (very generous for Anya's standards).

“I guess it does.”

:flower Anya as Tara's roommate brought her share of funny moments to the story but I'm glad that Willw and Tara can call the appartment their own first home from now on.
Although I am curious how Willow will get to know the kid Sally now because from the epilogue of "Inevitable" I got the impression that she lived with her for some time and assumed that she was a lodger in an appartment where Sally and her mom lived (before the latter died) or something like that. Well, I'll just have to wait and see...

Another great update, nice to see Tara having some success. Wish Willow would teach me her social media skills as I cannot convince people to come to my bands gigs lol
Sad to see Anya go but excited for the two of them to be officially living together. Wonder what they’ll do with Anya’s room? (After a deep clean).

The petty part of me thinks Willow owed Cordelia nothing and didn’t need to be that nice but considering Cordelias struggles I know I’d have done the same damn thing. Sigh.

I was wondering when this would happen (info for Dub: Willow mentioned that Anya's "jobs" brought the police to their appartment in the epilogue of "Inevitable").

It's always fun to let those pre-ordained moments come to be

Quote:
:rofl I love this interaction, so typical Anya and Willow's and Tara's quirky sense of humour woven in!

:D

Quote:
:laugh
Very sweet of Anya to worry she could let Tara down by moving out and even offering to continue paying rent the rest of the month (very generous for Anya's standards).

They are best friends :wink

Quote:
:flower Anya as Tara's roommate brought her share of funny moments to the story but I'm glad that Willw and Tara can call the appartment their own first home from now on.

It's a new chapter.

Quote:
Although I am curious how Willow will get to know the kid Sally now because from the epilogue of "Inevitable" I got the impression that she lived with her for some time and assumed that she was a lodger in an appartment where Sally and her mom lived (before the latter died) or something like that. Well, I'll just have to wait and see...

You...won't have to wait long to find out.

Thanks so much for your feedback!

Another great update, nice to see Tara having some success. Wish Willow would teach me her social media skills as I cannot convince people to come to my bands gigs lol

Hah! Any recently famous national superstars you could hit up for a retweet?

Sad to see Anya go but excited for the two of them to be officially living together. Wonder what they’ll do with Anya’s room? (After a deep clean).

Oh you'll see...

The petty part of me thinks Willow owed Cordelia nothing and didn’t need to be that nice but considering Cordelias struggles I know I’d have done the same damn thing. Sigh.

Willow owed her a big fat zero but a part of her was able to let the past go with that interaction. She knows who came out of it looking (and feeling) better.

Thanks so much for your comments!

Movin’ Out And Movin’ In One Last Time

Home Is Wherever We Are, If There's Love Here Too

Tara tapped her fingertips on the steering wheel as she drove down to Claremont to collect Willow and her things.

Music played for the playlist she’d specifically made for this day and one of her favorite Australian bands played with an addictive electronic beat.

She had played a mix of this song in her last show two nights before and the crowd had loved it. She believed in mixing older and newer songs and so far her audience and employers had seemed to lap up her style. She knew how to weave between the decades so seamlessly that most people didn’t even realize she was doing it.

The song changed to a more traditional John Denver tune; in fact, it was the headliner of the whole playlist — take me home, a sentiment she hoped Willow was feeling right now.

She pulled up in the Harvey Mudd parking lot alongside a lot of luxury cars and parents dressed sharply to collect their children for the summer. Some looked more pleased than others.

Tara locked the car as she got out and headed onto campus to find Willow’s building. Her last memory of being here, during her quarantine from her apartment from Crystal’s blow-up, was a little hazy.

It was a very lovely campus, she remembered that, and started to notice some landmarks as she followed the path. Eventually, she found the right building and ducked around people carrying boxes and bags out to their vehicles.

Before her knuckles had even rapped for a second time against Willow’s door, it flung open. Willow all but launched herself into Tara’s arms.

“Oh,” Tara said in surprise as she steadied after a stumble, “Hi.”

“She’s been very excited all morning,” Fred said from behind them, zipping up her luggage on her bed.

Tara stepped inside with Willow still attached to her.

“Willow tells me you're transferring to UCLA,” she said politely to Fred, “Maybe we can meet up sometime, have dinner.”

Fred just smiled and walked past with her first bag.

“I have a boyfriend.”

Tara stared after her, bewildered, and looked to Willow.

“Wh-wh-aa?”

Willow just waved a hand.

“C’mere.”

She pressed her palm onto Tara’s cheek and kissed her. Kicking the door closed she brought her other hand up to hold Tara’s face and deepen the kiss for several seconds. When she pulled back, she rested her forehead on Tara’s.

“I can’t wait to do that in our home.”

Tara pressed her lips on Willow’s again.

“I can’t wait to have your stuffed toys on our bed.”

“I’m doing something wrong if it’s the stuffed toys you’re looking forward to being in the bed,” Willow grinned.

Tara’s hands moved behind Willow and squeezed her rear.

“That’s because with the place all to ourselves there are a lot more places I’m interested in trying.”

Willow’s eyes lit up but Fred returned before she could reply.

Tara offered to take the first of Willow’s things down to the car while Fred and Willow said their goodbyes.

They stood opposite each other, Fred’s bag strap over her chest and two books in her hands.

“I’ve been dreading this, you know.”

Willow frowned. Fred looked away.

“It's just we've been having so much… fun here. Don't you think we should save some before we use it up and all the other people get sad 'cause we took all the happy?”

Willow slowly smiled, which Fred took as mocking.

“I'm just being a big nerd again, aren't I?”

“Yes,” Willow said teasingly, “But only because you’re in my stratosphere.”

Fred smiled too and used her free arm to put around Willow. She pulled back and silently handed Willow the books.

“Don’t forget me now, you hear?”

Willow could only shake her head.

“I’ll stay in touch. We’re only like 5 miles away from each other. We can keep playing D&D if you want.”

“Are you asking me for a d8?” Fred returned and they both started laughing.

Fred lifted her hand to wave and Willow did so back. When she was gone, Willow looked down at the books.

One was about the best dispensaries in L.A. county and the other was Latin For Beginners. Willow smirked. She hoped Fred would enjoy the iHop gift card she’d slipped into her bag earlier.

Tara returned to see Willow smiling, making her smile.

“That’s what I like to see.”

Willow looked up and leaned up to kiss Tara’s cheek.

“I am ready to close this chapter.”

She zipped her new books into her backpack.

“You’ll still be going to school,” Tara replied softly.

“Yes,” Willow nodded definitively, “And coming home every night to my girl.”

She took both of Tara’s hands.

“Rooming here has been great but I’ve already been spoiled by the best roommate I could ask for.”

Tara pulled Willow into her.

“Is that what you’re calling me now?”

Willow leaned in and peppered Tara’s lips with kisses.

“Girlfriend…lover…soulmate.”

They kissed slowly until some cheering came from people passing by the door and they broke with a blush.

“Last things?” Tara questioned as she picked up a box from the bare bed.

Willow paused for a moment, looked around, then smiled at Tara.

“As long as you’re coming with it.”

Tara smiled back and indicated toward the door.

“Whenever you’re ready.”

Willow linked arms with Tara without hesitation.

“Ready.”

“Sweetie, we’re going to need to get another bookcase.”

She stepped back from trying to fit Willow’s giant tome of coding onto the shelf and looked at the pile still to be placed. She’d already moved her own modest collection of books and textbooks to her nightstand so she couldn’t really clear up any more room.

Willow looked up from settling her Doogie Howser Funko Pop on her nightstand. She smiled as she came down to kneel on the floor with Tara.

“Aww, you sorted them size-color-alphabetical.”

“I know your system,” Tara smiled back, “But you still have too many books.”

Willow pouted slightly.

“Okkkay. We’ll just stack them on top for now. Hey, maybe you can take me to that flea market you like to find a new one.”

Tara’s eyes lit up.

“I’d love to. They have the cutest yarn section.”

“I didn’t even know yarn could be cute,” Willow answered earnestly, “Or that you cared about yarn.”

“I’ve dabbled,” Tara shrugged one shoulder and Willow looked intrigued.

Tara smiled coquettishly at the look.

“Did you hear about the cat who ate a ball of yarn?”

Willow looked confused and Tara ducked her head to say the punchline.

“She had a litter of mittens.”

Willow laughed out loud, loud enough to disturb Miss Kitty Fantastico who was sleeping nearby.

“Miaow.”

Willow turned and picked her up.

“Are you having mittens, Miss Kitty?”

Miss Kitty made a noise of disapproval and squirmed out of Willow’s arms.

“Guess she’s not for the mating.”

She crawled up behind Tara and closed her arms around her from behind.

“Unlike her Mommy.”

Tara placed her hand on top of Willow’s and was starting to lean back when a shrill cry came from the living room.

“Lesbians!”

Willow grunted in annoyance and Tara exhaled softly.

“Hold that thought,” she said, rubbing Willow’s hand promisingly before standing.

Willow stood with her and put an arm around Tara’s waist, leaning her head on Tara’s shoulder.

At the front door, Anya was standing with three pieces of luggage and a box that was shamelessly labeled ‘vibrators’.

“I've been in touch with your mom's orgasm friend—”

“Again, you can just call him Jeff,” Tara interjected, holding up both hands in protest.

Anya ignored this.

“He says he needs help with appealing to the new age of up and coming heathen youth.”

Willow arched an eyebrow.

“Are those the words he used?”

“Mostly,” Anya shrugged, “He needs someone who knows how to use social media and eBay and the exploitation of the millennial dollar.”

Willow threw her eyes upward.

“God help him.”

“He doesn’t believe in a singular god,” Anya retorted.

Tara glanced at Willow.

“That’s true.”

Willow’s mouth opened in offense but Anya was quickly taking up the space again.

“He says I can start on Monday,” she said with a little bit of giddy excitement in her voice, “So I’m hurrying up my move back to Sunnydale to…right now.”

Tara exhaled with a soft smile for her friend.

“Right now?”

Anya nodded, sharing the same look. Willow interrupted it by reaching out and shaking Anya’s hand.

“You’ve been tolerable. Good luck with the new job. Tell Xander to call me whenever he needs to vent, no matter how often or how late.”

Tara shot Willow a look and went forward to hug Anya.

“I’m very happy for you. And I’ll see you soon, okay?”

“I will,” Anya confirmed, shrugging the strap on her bag over her shoulder, “And I will continue to send you notes from my sex position of the day app. You seemed like you really enjoyed The Kinky Jockey last weekend.”

Willow’s mouth dropped and Tara quickly ushered Anya out the door despite protests that her Uber hadn’t shown up yet.

“Okay, bye now, Anya! Good luck in Sunnydale!”

She shut the door firmly but Willow was already pointing an accusatory finger at her.

“You got that from her!” she yelled, indignant, “You told me you read it somewhere!”

“I did,” Tara protested, swallowing deeply, “From our message log.”

“And you told her we liked it?!” Willow asked, her face turning to betrayal.

“No, sweetheart,” Tara comforted softly and came over to take Willow’s hands, “You were…particularly vocal.”

Willow flushed bright red. She looked away, then back at Tara.

“Do we really, truly have this place to ourselves now?”

Tara cupped one of Willow’s cheeks, caressing her softly with her thumb.

“You, me, and Miss Kitty.”

“And she knows when to leave the room,” Willow puffed out but couldn’t help but smile, “It was a fun night.”

Her smile turned to a grin and she cocked her eyebrows.

“She send you anything interesting this week?”

Tara blushed and looked down, then back up at Willow through her eyelashes.

“Ever heard of the Bermuda Triangle?”

Willow bit her bottom lip shyly.

“I’m guessing you don’t mean the mythical and oft-misrepresented section of the North Atlantic Ocean?”

Tara grinned and offered her hand.

Willow happily took it.

They scurried into the bedroom and Miss Kitty scrambled out with a loud ‘miaow’ just before it was kicked closed. She arched her back indignantly and went to find her food bowl.

In the bedroom, Tara pulled Willow to the bed by her belt loop and sat, pulling Willow into her. Willow spread her legs to allow herself to sit on Tara’s lap and slid her hands over Tara’s shoulders to join behind her neck.

“Why Ms. Maclay what big…” she glanced down and up with a smirk, “Eyes you have.”

Tara grabbed each of Willow’s cheeks and threw her back on the bed. She crawled over Willow with a similar smirk.

“All the better to…devour you with.”

Willow watched Tara’s eyes get that predatory look that made Willow flood between her legs. She closed her eyes as Tara’s hands went under her shirt and moaned when Tara’s short nails lightly scratched her stomach.

Tara’s head dropped, pushing Willow’s shirt up as she placed kisses all around Willow’s belly button.

Willow didn’t try to stop her at all.

Tara’s head continued to nudge Willow’s shirt until it was impeded by Willow’s bra. Willow reached down and pulled it over her head, making Tara’s head immediately pop up to nuzzle between her breasts.

She hooked one finger over the curve of the material and pulled it down so Willow’s breast popped out. Her lips caressed Willow’s soft skin and felt it tighten under her touch.

With a quickening pulse, she reached under Willow and unsnapped her bra. Willow pulled her shirt off so Tara could remove her bra. Both garments ended up on opposite sides of the bed without another thought as Tara’s teeth closed around Willow’s nipple.

Willow moaned as her hands curved around Tara’s head, holding her close to her chest; desperate not to break contact even for a moment.

Tara’s mouth was eager and her tongue sloppy as it bathed Willow’s flesh. Willow shivered under her skillful swiping until the urge to connect got too much and she pulled Tara up to crush their mouths together.

“Baby,” she panted into Tara’s mouth, “You know how much I love your pretty dress?”

“Yeah?” Tara panted back.

Willow licked her lips.

“You better take it off before I rip it off.”

Tara didn’t need to be asked twice. She whipped her dress over her head with a grace Willow could never hope to emulate; knowing she would have gotten stuck if she’d tried a similar move.

She didn’t self-deprecate for too long though — Tara’s breasts provided ample distraction.

She was immediately hypnotized by their bounce.

She traced the swell of Tara’s breasts below the material; inhaling softly. She looked up to Tara with desire-swollen pupils taking over her eyes.

“You know how much I love this bra?”

Tara smirked as she got the message and reached behind herself to unclip her bra.

Willow’s hands were ready to catch and mold and play.

“You’re so fucking hot,” she moaned as her mouth took in Tara’s neck and bared shoulder.

Tara laid back and let her body be worshiped.

The room looked like their laundry basket had been the epicenter of an earthquake with their clothing strewn everywhere. The bed rocked similarly.

Tara’s body was curled around Willow’s in a spooning position, their ankles crossed as Tara’s hand delved deeply between Willow’s legs.

Both of their hips drove a circle into the sheet as they grinded into each other and back again.

Willow reached up behind her and found Tara’s head; stroking Tara’s hair as her thighs squeezed her in tightly.

She moaned as Tara’s thumb swiped up to brush her clit.

“This feels amazing,” she panted, her hips beginning to quicken the pace, “But why do they call it the Bermuda Triangle?”

Tara pressed her teeth into the sensitive spot where Willow’s neck met her shoulder and felt a warm gush against her fingers.

“Because…” she hooked her leg over Willow’s hip, rolling her onto her back, “When I do this all thought will disappear.”

Her hands went to Willow’s hips, holding her down as Tara’s mouth landed between her legs but then they slid up and covered Willow’s breasts. Forming a triangle, she tweaked Willow’s nipples and made her thrash and scream so loud that the apartment next door probably thought there was an earthquake too.

“Tara, oh Tara,” Willow’s thighs clamped around her girlfriend’s ears, “Ugh, ugh, ugh!”

She thrust her hips up so fast it made a g-force akin to the space shuttle. She held Tara’s head in place as she came; making sure every limb was stopping her from moving away or breaking any bit of the glorious contact.

After a few moments of stillness, her legs fell back down on the bed and the frenzied tugging on Tara’s hair turned to a gentle caress.

Tara continued to tongue Willow until those aftershocks had died down but just held her breasts without inflicting too much pressure on what she knew would be extra-sensitive nipples.

Eventually, once she felt the last tense muscle of Willow’s relax, Tara started to kiss up Willow’s body again. She pressed a soft kiss on each of her girlfriend’s nipples, eliciting a little shiver, and finally kissed Willow gently on the mouth.

Willow moaned softly and pressed her fingertips to Tara’s cheeks.

“That was so hot…it was 180 degrees.”

She giggled against Tara’s mouth.

“Geddit? Because it was a triangle?”

She laughed too hard at her own joke and the sound made Tara laugh joyously too.

She leaned her forehead on Willow’s forehead and nuzzled their noses.

Coming out of their lusty haze, she noticed the sun had set while they had been engrossed with each other.

“When did nighttime happen?” Willow asked, apparently noticing the same thing.

“After the sun went down,” Tara replied with a crooked smile.

Willow smirked and rolled herself on top of Tara.

“It’s not the only thing going down.”

Tara’s eyelashes fluttered and her cheeks flushed.

“Is such a thing allowed on Shabbat?” she asked in a low, sultry voice that was betrayed by her inability to hold in a grin.

Willow chuckled and bumped her nose against Tara’s.

“Are you asking me if pussy is kosher?”

She kissed the corner of Tara’s mouth.

“It’s certainly divine.”

Tara lifted her head to get more contact but Willow was already kissing down her body, leaving Tara yearning.

Willow nuzzled in the downy hairs under Tara’s belly button, finding she was already damp there from all that had come before. Very quickly Tara’s scent told her she was more than damp and Willow couldn’t help but feel herself getting excited again at what she was about to feast on.

“You smell so fucking good,” she said before letting her tongue fall out to lap up what waited.

She felt her mouth and cheeks get wet immediately; engulfing her senses. She loved this like nothing else; being so ensconced in Tara in a way that was just for her in a way that sparked such a reaction in every nerve of her body.

She spent a moment just licking; almost desperate to consume Tara but once she’d quenched her initial thirst she was able to slow down and enjoy everything Tara had to offer.

She heard Tara’s moans start to float down; hers also moving from desperate to steady and pleased. Willow’s hands rested at an angle on Tara’s stomach; gently massaging her muscles there while she started to pay attention to Tara’s clit and draw the orgasm from her.

She didn’t rush; they weren’t in one, after all; and worked Tara how she knew her girlfriend liked it best: getting her so close to the cliff she wanted to jump off but not letting her fly until she was ready to soar.

Finally, Willow recognized Tara’s cries turning to needy and she could feel the sheet taut beneath her as Tara’s fingers clawed at it. Willow let one hand fall to Tara’s thigh and opened her so she wrap her arm around it. She clamped her lips over Tara’s clit and sucked, sending a spiral of moans from Tara’s mouth to their bedroom walls.

Willow released Tara’s thigh but kept her open as she brought that hand down to slide one finger inside Tara. She was already molten hot and with just a few aimed curls, Tara was coming undone above her.

Willow swapped her mouth and hand, licking Tara’s opening while putting a light, constant pressure on her clit while she rode out the high.

Once Tara’s body slumped, Willow — completely altruistically, of course — used her tongue to clean Tara up so she wouldn’t be uncomfortable for the forthcoming snuggles. With a last kiss to Tara’s clit, she rose on all fours and arched her back with a satisfying pop.

She fell onto the bed beside Tara with a bounce and haphazardly swiped at her mouth, not doing much to get rid of the glaze around her lips and cheeks.

“That was great,” she said, linking her fingers and stretching them above herself, “But I thought you were going to take me all over the apartment?”

Tara threw a lazy arm above her head and stretched.

“I haven’t done an Anya decontamination yet.”

Willow turned her head to Tara slowly.

“I don’t even want to know what you mean by that,” she said, then pressed her palm down into the mattress, “I like this bed. It’s not too hard and not too soft. It’s the Goldilocks of beds.”

She brushed her hand over Tara’s arm, then encouraged her onto her side so she could spoon her.

“Mmm, I love a little Tara-butt between my legs like that right after. We fit perfectly together, like Africa and South America.”

Tara scooted her butt back, making Willow giggle.

“Ba-rump-ba-ba-bum,” she joked, then dropped her head into Tara’s neck, “Don’t tell my dad I was singing a Christmas song, even as a joke. Especially not on Shabbat.”

“I’m not in the habit of telling your father about our post-coital pillow talk,” Tara replied earnestly, “But I’ll try to remember that specifically.”

Willow rested her hand on the curve of Tara’s hip and moved her head so they shared the same pillow.

“Your hair smells good. I’m going to start stealing your shampoo now that I live here for real.”

“I don’t think it’s stealing if we just buy enough for two,” Tara replied with a quiet smile.

We,” Willow said, her smile resting on Tara’s hair, “Because we’re going to get groceries and make dinner and clean up and do the dishes. Together.”

“Yes,” Tara agreed with a soft nod, “We’ve done all of that stuff before. A lot of times.”

Willow bumped Tara’s butt with her hips in protest.

“But not like this.”

Tara reached behind and patted Willow’s bottom.

“I know, love. I can’t wait for this either.”

Willow pulled Tara closer to her.

“'Cause, it's you and me.”

She kissed below Tara’s ear.

“I can't keep my eyes off of you. You’re so beautiful.”

“You’ve already gotten into my pants, you don’t need to keep charming me,” Tara smiled crookedly.

“But I love you,” Willow whispered, “So I’m just going to continue, okay?”

“Okay,” Tara agreed softly, “But I might have to join you. If I don’t get distracted by how gorgeous you are.”

Willow sought Tara’s hand over their waists.

“I think I can live with that.”

Tara stifled a yawn as she closed her robe tie around her body.

She walked into the kitchen and over to the coffee maker to turn it on. She loved looking out the kitchen window onto the street as she got down their mugs; seeing the morning life on their little street in this big city. Two men were walking a chihuahua on a pink leash; an older woman across the street was sweeping outside her bakery; and numerous convertibles were cruising with the top down, enjoying the sun.

Her eyes crinkled with a smile as she spotted a kid fly by on a scooter, no more than two, with his father on a skateboard beside him.

While this had been her home for many months, it was only now that Willow was truly here permanently that she truly felt settled.

She wiped the inside of the mugs quickly and left them on the counter as the coffee maker indicator light turned green.

“Willow?” she called out softly, “Coffee’s ready.”

Tara heard the creak of the bed as Willow got up and moments later she walked into the living area, as naked as the day she was born.

Tara’s eyes widened and she quickly stood in front of her, very aware of the windows behind them.

“This exhibitionist streak of yours is something else,” she said, looking over her shoulder and then back at Willow.

Willow put her arms around Tara’s neck and shamelessly pushed her body into Tara’s.

“I stayed hidden long enough,” she said, kissing Tara’s lips softly before nuzzling her nose, “But you always saw me…and now I want you to see me always.”

Tara suddenly didn’t need the coffee to wake up any longer. Her hands reached down to cup Willow’s bottom and squeezed.

“Oh, I see all of you. And every inch is beautiful.”

She began walking them toward the bathroom, holding onto Willow by the rear the whole way. Willow just smiled, unsure but trusting.

In the bathroom, she turned a still-unsure Willow around to face the mirror above the sink. She took one of Willow’s arms and lifted it so her hand touched Tara’s head. Tara lightly ran her fingers down Willow’s side.

“Look how stunning you are.”

Willow gulped audibly and visibly through the mirror but forced her eyes not to take their natural action of looking away. She watched, and felt, Tara’s fingertips brush over her hip and a flat palm smooth down her thigh.

As her nails scratched back up, Willow moaned.

“I can feel that, do you know that?” Tara whispered evocatively in Willow’s ear as her hand brushed over Willow’s stomach, “I can feel it here. I can feel how deep that moan goes. I can feel you clench. I know that you’re getting wet.”

Willow let out a small whimper of acknowledgment.

Tara brushed her hand against Willow’s mound and then quickly back up again. She cupped a breast and turned her mouth into Willow’s neck, kissing there.

“I love how perfectly you fit in my hand.”

She rolled her thumb over Willow’s nipple and Willow’s legs clamped together. Tara reached down and cupped Willow firmly, making Willow cry out softly.

“And I love how much your body begs without you saying a word,” Tara’s breath began to get ragged.

She let one finger fall between Willow’s lips and swirled it around in her girlfriend’s arousal. Willow rolled her hips against the sensation.

Tara rubbed the pad of that finger over Willow’s clit and watched in the mirror as Willow’s eyes rolled back into her head.

“Watch, baby,” Tara encouraged softly, “Watch how good it looks when we become one.”

Willow’s eyes popped open in time for her to watch Tara’s fingers plunge inside her.

The visual was every bit as erotic as the contact and Willow grinded down with a soft grunt.

Tara’s breath quickened in response and she used her free hand to pull the tie on her robe. She shrugged it off so it fell to the floor in a pool at her feet and grabbed Willow’s opposite hip to pull them together.

Willow bent over and grabbed the sink so Tara widened her stance and rubbed herself on Willow’s proffered behind. Willow reached behind and grabbed aimlessly at Tara’s ass to encourage her while Tara thrust her hips and hand in a frenzied motion.

“Oh god,” Willow groaned under her breath as she pushed back into Tara from in front and behind.

Tara’s hand moved from Willow’s hip, up her spine, and grabbed onto her neck. She pulled Willow back up without a moment’s pause below their waists. Spitting out moans she sunk her lips into Willow’s neck and licked the sweat that had formed there.

“Watch…watch…watch!”

Willow watched in the mirror as Tara caught and kept her intense gaze. She saw Tara’s orgasm start to roll through her body right as the fingers inside her curled and sparked her own. She caught a split second of her own body growing taut before her head was thrown back over Tara’s shoulder and she screamed her release into her girlfriend’s neck.

It was a minute or so before she realized Tara’s arm was snaked around her middle, holding her up.

Her body was sweaty and her butt was sticky but she would have been happy to be stuck to Tara forever.

Tara was rubbing her stomach in soft circles and Willow murmured approval.

Tara placed a tender kiss on the side of Willow’s head.

“We should shower.”

“‘Kay,” Willow agreed with heavy eyelids.

Tara put the lid down on the toilet and got Willow sitting there while she started the shower. Once it got to a nice temperature, she stepped in and offered her hands out to Willow. Willow, thinking somewhat straighter (a wet and naked Tara notwithstanding) took the hands and stepped in with her.

The water was luxurious on her sensitive skin.

“Mmmm…”

Tara ran her fingers through Willow’s wet hair.

“We don’t have to worry about hogging the bathroom anymore…”

“MMMM…” Willow moaned louder on purpose, then giggled as she settled her head on Tara’s chest, “Just like heaven.”

They stayed under the water without moving for a long time, far longer than was economic or environmentally conscious, but it was a rare indulgence and an appreciation of their new home, alone, together.

After eventually washing each other’s hair and bodies — Willow, of course, doing her due diligence around Tara’s chest — they dressed and had the previously abandoned coffee, now reheated. Willow offered to make French toast which Tara readily agreed to and helped by getting plates and silverware for them.

“So you have a show at Lux tonight. They want an extended set but that also means extended pay,” Willow rattled off her thoughts as they came, “But bonus, no more classes, and no more homework — so you can sleep in all you like tomorrow.”

She shot a grin across the kitchen.

“I’ll even sleep in with you.”

“How gracious of you,” Tara smiled crookedly, “I can repay you in snuggles and maybe even a little under-the-covers, under-the-shirt action.”

“I agree to these terms,” Willow nodded diligently and threw a wink at Tara, “If you concede to not wearing a bra to bed.”

“After a show, trust me, all I want to do is take my bra off,” Tara laughed and handed Willow a spatula to turn their breakfast over in the skillet.

Willow smacked Tara’s butt with it before turning to the pan. She looked at it unsurely.

“You did replace this after the….Xander and Anya…incident, right?”

“I gave the old one to Anya as a housewarming present for moving with Xander,” Tara smiled reassuringly.

Willow smiled in relief.

“Breakfast’s up. Grab the syrup?”

Tara brought the syrup to the table and Willow served them up. She smiled at Tara as they sat.

“This is nice. You, me, breakfast food.”

“It is,” Tara smiled and though they had done this plenty, she knew what Willow meant.

Everything felt new even if they’d done it before. It felt more, it felt like a stronger bond had formed between them and that their relationship had reached a new level of freedom and trust. They breathed with the ease of having a space that was truly theirs; somewhere that belonged to just them.

“So I’ve been thinking of getting a job,” Willow continued to spit out her stream of consciousness as she drowned her French toast in syrup.

“Oh yeah?” Tara asked, courteously cutting her breakfast up into manageable pieces.

Willow nodded.

“I have money to cover our bills and all that, don’t worry, but I’d just like to earn something, y’know? I’ve been so busy with school and helping with DJ Tarot and stuff but I have some extra time now it’s summer.”

Tara covered Willow’s hand with her own.

“I hope you know how much I appreciate all you do for me.”

Willow quickly left a sticky kiss on Tara’s cheek, then wiped it with a napkin, blushing.

“Sorry. And yes. I do know. You give me so much more back. You don’t even know. I love you so much.”

Tara smiled softly and ran her thumb over Willow’s knuckles.

“So where do you want to work?”

“Well, uh,” Willow cleared her throat and looked sheepish, “I’m not really sure. I do lack summer-job-type skills. I don’t think I’d be very good at waitressing.”

“Agreed,” Tara replied a little too quickly.

“Hey!” Willow replied indignantly, but her smile gave her away as she threw her napkin at Tara.

Tara laughed softly.

“I’m sorry honey but they’d start taking it out of your wages if you kept breaking dishes.”

“Klutzy McKlutzerson, I can admit it,” Willow replied in resignation, “I have to figure all that stuff out. But I have time, right?”

Tara nodded. Willow suddenly looked up.

“Oh, that reminds me, I have a contract call with a big promoter in Silverlake! I almost forgot! I better finish this and go prepare!”

She gobbled down her breakfast and hurried it to the sink before running off to get her laptop with a spring in her step.

Tara enjoyed every moment of watching that spring being sprung.

As I was cruising on by thanks to the heads up, I saw references to little red riding hood and Goldilocks. Guess little red riding hood has a new meaning now. Over the river and through the woods on the way to Tara’s house. Little red be ridin’ alright.

Such an interesting friendship they have built while they briefly shared the same space.

Blasphemy. One can never have too many books.

“No, sweetheart,” Tara comforted softly and came over to take Willow’s hands, “You were…particularly vocal.”

Poor Willow. At least they know ahead of time that that isn't her strong suit. Nor a skill set could master.

Overall, I like seeing the growing presence of DJ Tarot as it was highlighted in the Epilogue in the previous story. You have a knack for leaving a decent gap between a story and an epilogue, that has plenty of plot points mentioned, that gives readers something to look forward to reading.

Since getting more involved with the kittens, I have this dilemma where I super enjoy all the smut but feel too embarrassed to comment on it because we actually interact directly, but I also want to give you feedback and praise for it because you are real fuckin’ good at the smut stuff.

I say this so that you understand how uncomfortable but necessary the following sentence is -

Jesus fucking christ that was hot as all holy balls and I need to take a cold shower now. Wowzer!

Outside of the smut stuff, I think it’s adorable that they’re doing the settling in thing and I’m super curious about what Willow will go for job wise.

I recenty refinished Inevitable (again, third time I think?) and you really do write some of the best fics ever. So, thank you for continuing to write such great stuff!

I'm swamped with work before the start of my easter holidays so I don't have time for detailed feedback.
So I'll just quote my favourite part of this chapter:

Quote:
Miss Kitty made a noise of disapproval and squirmed out of Willow’s arms.

“Guess she’s not for the mating.”

She crawled up behind Tara and closed her arms around her from behind.

“Unlike her Mommy.”

Tara placed her hand on top of Willow’s and was starting to lean back when a shrill cry came from the living room.

“Lesbians!”

Willow grunted in annoyance and Tara exhaled softly.

“Hold that thought,” she said, rubbing Willow’s hand promisingly before standing.

:rofl
and say how much I enjoyed the scenes Dub had to skip :drool :drool :drool

I'm curious what job Willow will take and how it will lead to her meeting Sally. But for the sake of our girls I hope they get to keep the appartment to themselves at least for a few months before taking on a teenager as a roommate.

I'll be on the lookout for your jaunty green hat.

As far as I can tell (and be patient, as I am in face translating a primitive language) 'wepskini' is a shortened version of 'weapon in a bikini'. This is amusing to me as in Hiberno-English, calling someone a 'weapon' is akin to calling them a bitch.

Quote:
That now goes on my top typo list alongside “I buy my own boys!” He meant to type booze.

I buy neither boys nor booze so I hope my teats will be sufficient.

They don't need advice.

She probably would be a wepskini, to be fair.

May or may not have stood up to twerk to that. You'll never know. (I did)

Miss Kitty is a strong, independent cat who don't need no Tom. (she is also hella spayed - they are responsible cat owners)

Or their personalized ringtones.

And accurate. The best kind of praise.

It would have alternatively been burned

I am nothing if not a corrupter of fairytales.

Look, these two will make ANYTHING sexual. I've engaged in some incredibly nerdy dirty talk over the years with these two.

Thanks for commenting!

(P.S. cut between '“Why don’t I get you a little more exicted?”' to 'Tara’s head popped up from between Willow’s legs and she discreetly wiped her mouth.')

Thanks so much for your feedback!

Thanks for your comments!
