Chapter 12: New Adventures Part 2:[/center]
"So how far away is it?" Willow asked as the train started to move.
"About an hour or so," Tara replied. They were sitting next to each other looking out the window.
"I never thought I would cut school," Willow said.
"You have never been to a school before this one," Tara chuckled.
"I know," Willow looked at her. "But I just thought school, home, homework, and maybe job. I don't know if I am gonna get one or not. Do you have one?"
"Yeah," Tara said. "I work at a skate shop. Well the only skate shop in our town," Tara giggled. "My uncle owns it. He lives above it. He said that if I save enough money I can buy it from him. The shop and the apartment above it."
"Really?" Willow said. "That's awesome."
"Yup, wanna move in with me?" Tara smirked.
"Move in?" Willow said. "We haven't even gone on a date yet."
"Yet?" Tara eyes grew wide and her hope sailed.
"Oh um," Willow didn't know what to say.
"So you do wanna go on a date with me," Tara smirked.
"I don't wanna give you the satisfaction."
"Tara's smirk fell. "What?"
"I'm one of the only girls in the school who you want, but isn't gonna let you have her and it's killing you but once you have me, I'll just become another girl to the list. Haven't we talked about this?"
"That's not fair," Tara was getting angry. "The only thing killing me is that your not with me. You won't even give me a chance."
"Look I have never had an official relationship. I had online one once and it ended badly, but I didn't care cause it didn't matter. I'm not gonna let you break my heart."
"The only one whose heart is breaking is mine," Tara scooted lower in the seat.
Willow looked at her.
Am I really breaking her heart? When Willow saw a tear roll down Tara's cheek, she had her answer. Willow scooted closer to her and laid her head on Tara's should. Tara looked at her. "You wanna date me, prove to me you won't break my heart."
Tara's smile was bigger than any smile Willow had ever seen. "I can do that, I will do that," Tara scooted and put her arm around Willow. The rest of the train ride was silent.

"So beach or food first?" Tara asked.
Willow's stomach growled. "Food," both the girls said and they laughed. Tara grabbed Willow's hand as they started to walk. Willow looked down and smiled.
"They have amazing cheese fries there," Tara looked at Willow. "Do you like cheese fries."
"Love them," Willow smiled.
"Me too," Tara returned the smile. "They also have really good tacos and burgers. I like tacos more."
"Me too," Willow said.
"See we have things in common and you were worried I would start to not like you."
"I'm a dork."
"Your amazing," Tara smiled.
"You still don't know me that well."
"I can just tell."
They arrived at the restaurant and were seat.
"May I get you something to drink?" the waitress asked.
"Water," both girls said.
"Okay coming up," the waitress walked away.
"We both like water," Tara smiled.
"Most people do."
"I like to drink it a lot. Epically when I'm skating. I like energy drinks too, monster is my favorite, but my uncle always yells at me if I drink to many."
"They can be bad for you," Willow said. "I have never had one though."
"You haven't?" Tara said.
"Nope."
"Second date, movie and monsters."
"Second?" Willow asked.
"Yes the first will be more special," Tara smiled.
"Here is your water, are you ready to order?" the waitress asked.
"Tacos and cheese fries?" Tara asked Willow.
"Yes."
Tara smiled at the waitress. "Two orders of tacos and cheese fries please."
"Coming up."
"Tara looked back at Willow.
"By the way," the waitress said. Tara and Willow looked at her. "You have really pretty eyes," the waitress smiled at her.
"Thanks," Tara said than looked back at Willow. "But hers are prettier." Willow blushed.
"Oh," the waitress said. "Are you two together?"
"Not yet," Tara didn't look away from Willow, but I'm working on it."
The waitress walked away.
"I think she was trying to flirt with you," Willow said.
"And your point?" Tara asked.
"I was just saying."
"Well I have the most amazing girl sitting across from me so others girls can flirt all they want, doesn't mean I give a fuck," Tara smiled.
The rest of the meal went by with random chatter.
"So," Tara said. "Beach now?"
"Yes," Willow smiled. Tara took her hand and they walked out the restaurant. "By the way," Willow leaned over and kissed Tara's cheek. "Thank you for lunch."
Tara blushed. "Anything for you."
"So how long have you been skating?" Willow asked.
"Since I was like 3," Tara said. "My uncle got me a board for my birthday and after that it's all I wanted to do. I want to go pro."
"Why don't you?"
"I need a sponsor, and in order to get a sponsor I need to get out of Sunnydale, but I don't wanna leave anytime soon. I mean I can get a skate shop and I have my friends and you," Tara said.
"What about your family?"
"My uncle is my family."
"Is he who you live with?"
"No. I live next to you. I said my uncle lived above the skate shop remember?"
"Than who do you live with?"
"My brother."
"Are you guys not close?"
"Not at all. He is gone a lot. He is a business man. The only reason he has the house is cause I live with him. When I'm 18 he is selling it and moving. That's why my uncle said he would give me the shop. He has this girl that lives in another state. He wants to move there and live with her."
"Why hasn't he already?"
"Me. He wants me to know that if I need someone he is there."
"I'm here," Willow smiled. "I'll always be here."
"Good, I always want you here," Tara leaned over and kissed Willow's cheek. "Well here we are."
The beach was small, but pretty. "Wow," Willow said.
"You wanna sit by the water?" Tara asked.
"Sure."
They headed towards the water. Willow sat on the beach. "Are you gonna sit?" she looked up at Tara.
Tara smirked. She sat behind Willow and than scooted Willow back between her legs until the redhead's back was to her front.
A smile spread across both girls faces as Willow leaned in Tara and Tara wrapped her arms around Willow's waist. They sat like that in silence until Tara phone went off. She looked at it. We have to be heading back. School gets out soon and I'm going skating with Xander. You wanna come? I don't know if you will have fun."
"Well I guess we will see when I go with you," Willow smiled at Tara.
"Come on," Tara smiled back and stood up, she helped Willow up and they head for the train station. They bought their tickets and took their seats. Tara wrapped her arm around Willow and Willow snuggled into her. The ride home was filled with sleeping.
