They day Tara was leaving for Duke was hard on both girls, they were fighting that morning over it then later they kissed and made up. And now there just holding eachother crying because they really don't want to be apart from eachother for 6 months. But Willow on the other hand had an idea the day before and went to a jewlery store and bought a promise ring for Tara. As they were hugging willow pulls back and looks Tara straight in the eyes and kisses her.

"Come with me Tara," Willow said, pulling Tara over to the couch.

"Willow, what's going on?" Tara asked, sitting down on the couch.

"Tara I never pictured us begin together 8 months ago when we first met, now I can't imagine you not in my life....

"Wil I," Tara started.

"Please let me finish, every morning when I wake up I see your bright smile and it makes me love you more, so what I want to know now is. Tara will you come back to me in 6 months?" willow asked, hold a 24kt ring up.

"Oh Willow, yes I will return to you," Tara said, as willow slide the ring on her finger and gives her a kiss.

"I love you so much Tara Maclay," willow said, hugging her tightly.

"I love you too Willow Rosenberg," Tara said.

"C'mon Tara we have to get going," Donnie said, walking up to them.

"Ok, I'll call when I get there," Tara said.

"Ok... god I'm going to miss you so much," Willow said.

"I'm going to miss you too sweetie," Tara said, as they walked to the car " xander you better keep her out of trouble.

"I will try Tara, drive safely Donnie," Xander said.

"Hey Willow, where's Buffy at?" Donnie asked.

"My friend Faith came into Town last night, so there hanging out in her dorm room," Willow said, winking at Tara.

"Alright, c'mon sis lets get you to Duke," Donnie said.

As they drove away Tara was looking out the window at willow, till she couldn't see her no more. She turned to look out the windshield as they drove down the highway. Donnie kept glancing over at her and noticed the said look on her face and he knew what she was going through, he went through the same thing 2 years ago when his girlfriend went off to college.

"It'll be ok Tara," Donnie said.

"I know, I just miss her so much already," Tara said.

"I know what you mean, remember I went through it 2 years ago," Donnie said,

"Oh yeah I forgot,, how on earth did you deal with it?" Tara asked.

"It was hard I won't lie to you it was, but it got easier as time went on," Donnie said.

"I hope it will get easier for us begin apart for 6 months," Tara said.

"Yeah me, I'm glad you too worked everything out," Donnie said.

"Yeah me to, I mean I'm so much in love with her Donnie, I can't imagine not haveing her in my life," Tara said.

"Wow, you must really love her," Donnie said.

"I sure do, and one of these days I'm going to marry her," Tara said.

As Tara was settling in her new place for six months, there was a knock on the door. She walks over and opens the door to find a tall blonde girl with a cut off shirt and skinny jeans on holding a folder in her left hand.

"Um, can I help you?" Tara asked, looking at the girl.

"Your Tara Maclay right? She asked.

"Yes... yes I am," Tara said.

"Good my name is Casey, I'm the one in charge of you wild girls in this dorm. And this is for you," Casey said

"Casey...Casey," a girl called coming up the hall way.

"What is it Sammy?" Casey asked, looking at the girl.

"I need you to sign this, oh hi, damn your hot," Sammy said, checking Tara out.

"SAMMY! That's not a nice way to greet a new person," Casey said.

"Oh sorry, hi I'm Sammy, I stay on the first floor," she said.

"Nice to meet you I'm Tara," she said, shaking her hand

"That's a pretty name, wow nice ring," Sammy said, seeing the ring on her finger.

"Thanks Sammy," Tara said, as she released her hand.

"Ok Sammy here's your paper back all signed," Casey said, handing her the paper back.

"Thanks Casey, and Tara once you get settled maybe I can show you around,"Sammy said.

"Uh yeah sure why not," Tara said.

"Ok Sammy you can go now... sorry about that Tara she's a big flirt," Casey said, laughing a little.

"I caught on to that when she said I was hot, hang on" Tara said, looking down at her phone.

"Hey sweetie....yeah I made it ok.....I miss you to babe.....once I hook it up we can chat online.....I love you too....you did I'm sorry I cried to on the way here..... of course I'm wearing I will never take it off...ok talk to you later....I love you too Willow bye.

"Ah boyfriend back home," Casey said.

"Actually my girlfriend back home,"Tara said.

"Wow not most girls are straight forward with that. You might want to let Sammy know you have a girl back home before she starts sending you roses and stuff," Casey said.

"I will do that," Tara said.

"Well I'll let you get to your unpacking, and if you need anything just let me know, my numbers in that package for you," Casey said.

"Ok thanks," Tara said, as Casey walked down the hall.

A month into Tara's college experince she was having the time of her life. She joined several clubs and made friends along the way, she was even talked into joining the cheerleading squad by her friend Amber. And she loved every minute of it.

As the squad was lounging on the grass, eating there lunch the football players walk up to them and the captain of the team walks over to where there were and looks down at Tara.

"Hi Tara," he said.

"Hey Jimmy," Tara said.

"I was wondering if your free later... maybe we could carch a movie or something," Jimmy said.

"Thanks.. But no thank you jimmy," Tara said.

"Man what does it take for you to say yes to a date?" jimmy asked, looking at the other girls.

"Well Jim your just not my type is all," Tara said, smiling as one of the girls started snickering.

"Fine whatever bye," jimmy said, turning to walk away.

"Damn Tara I can't believe you turned done jimmy of all people," cindi said, looking over at her.

"Well Cindi he's really not my type," Tara said.

"Then what is your type, because it sure isn't the football players," cindi said.

"Look Cindi just leave her alone," Amber said.

"Are you afarid of jocks or something?" Cindi asked, ingoring Amber.

"No I'm not ok," Tara said.

"Then what is it, your boyfriend back home, screw him have your fun," Cindi said.

"I don't have a borfriend back home,"Tara said, getting a little pissed off.

"If you don't have a boyfriend back home, then who are you all lovey dovey on the phone with?" Lisa asked, jumping into the conversation.

"FINE!! It's my girlfriend back home.. Fuck are you happy now," Tara said, as she got up and walked away.

"Hey Tara wait up," Cindi said, running up behind her.

"What do you want?" Tara asked, turning around.

"I'm sorry I pushed you like that," Cindi said.

"It's ok," Tara said.

"Why didn't you tell us you were lesbian?" Cindi asked.

"Because it's no body's business Cindi," Tara said.

"Well I think it rocks that your a lesbian," Cindi said.

"Well I got to go make a call," Tara said, looking down at her watch.

"Ok we'll see you tomorrow?" Cindi asked.

"Count on it," Tara said.

As Tara was heading back to her dorm room she spots Sammy walking out of the libarary. She jogs to catch up to her.

"Sammy," Tara said.

"Hey Tara, what's up?" Sammy asked, turning around.

"You heading back to the dorms?" Tara asked.

"Yeah I've got essay due friday," Sammy said.

"I just wanted to let you know I had fun the other night," Tara said.

"I'm glad you did, have you told Willow yet" " sammy asked.

"Have I told Willow what?" Tara asked,

"That we went out on a date," sammy said.

"Sammy that wasn't a date," Tara said.

"Sure felt like a date," sammy said.

"How did it feel like one when I met you there with a group of people," Tara said.

"Well they left before the movie was over and we walked home together," Tara said.

"Sorry Sam it was just a friendly outing," Tara said.

"This is my floor... I'll see ya around," sammy said, heading into her room.

As Tara headed up to her room thinking about Willow and how much she misses her. And wanting to hear her voice as she reached her door she could hear her phone ringing and the machine picking and willows voice on the other end. Trying her hardest to get the door open before she hung up, but it was no use by the time she picked up the phone there was a dial tone. She place the phone back done and goes to change clothes, and calls her back.

"Hello,

"Willow its me," Tara said.

"Hey you I miss you," Willow said.

"I miss you too sweetie," Tara said.

They were talking for several hours till the wee hours of the morning. Only to hang up and hop online to chat via the web cam. Where they cybered with eachother for a few hours, then shutting that down and going to bed happy.

Back in sunnydale

Willow woke up to someone banging on her door. She gets up grabs her robe and answers the door, only to find its Buffy standing on the other side.

"Are you just now waking up?" Buffy asked, walking into the room.

"Yeah why you ask," Willow said.

"Are you kidding me, it's almost 10," Buffy said, laughing.

"WHAT!! Are you serious, I missed geology 101," Willow said.

"Did you have a late night or something?" Buffy asked.

"Kinda.. Tara called and talked pretty much all night," Willow said.

"That's great how is she?" Buffy asked.

"She's great, I'm making a surprise visit next week end," Willow said.

"Wow, she'll love that," Buffy said.
"I hope so," Willow said, grabbing her clothes and putting them on

Willow was well on her way to see Tara, she was so excitied that she was actually going to see her after a month apart. After 5 hours of driving she pulls into the dorm visitors parking grabs her bag and heads over to Tara's dorm. She walks inside and heads up to the third floor and down to Tara's room. She knocks on the door and doesn't recevie and answer, she turned and saw a blonde girl walking her way.

"Um hi excuse me," Willow said.

"Yes, what can I do for you?" she asked.

"This is Tara's room right?" Willow asked.

"Yes and who might you be? She asked.

"I'm Willow Rosenberg," Willow said.

"Ah yes I've heard so much about you, I'm Casey the dorm mother," Casey said.

"Do you know where Tara is at?" Willow asked.

"She's at the big game, your welcome to wait inside for her," Casey said, unlocking the door to let her in.

"Thanks Casey," Willow said.

As she settled into the room she calls Tara's cell.

"Hello," Tara said.

"Hey it's me"Willow said.

"Hey sweetie how are you?" Tara asked.

"Great what's all that nosie?" Willow asked.

"Oh that's some people in the libarary," Tara said, knowing she was lying.

"I sent something to your room today," Willow said.

"Like what sweetie?"Tara asked.

"You'll just have to go to your room and see," Willow said.

"Ok this place close in a few, I'll be there to check it our," Tara said.

"Ok great," Willow said.

"Ok I love you Willow and I'll call you when I see it," Tara said.

"Ok I love you too," Willow said.

Willow laid there for a few more hours waiting on Tara to come through the door. She never showed up so she calls again.

"Hey sweetie," Tara said.

"Did you see your gift?" Willow asked.

"No not yet, I'm on my way now," Tara said.

"Ok I can't wait for you to see it," Willow said.


Half and hour later Tara shows up and heads into her room. Saying bye to her friends and closing the door behind her. She walks further into her room and trips over willows bags.

"What is all this shit," Tara said, switching on the light.

"Its my stuff," Willow said.

"Oh my god Willow your here," Tara said, little surprised.

"Yeah I've been here waiting on you, but I guess that game was more important." Willow said.

"How did you know I was at a game?" Tara asked.

"Your dorm mother told me," Willow said.

"I didn't want to ruin the surprise," Willow said.

"I am surprise to see, how long have you been here?" Tara asked, walking over to hug her.

"For about 4½ hours," Willow said.

"I'm really sorry sweetie, if I knew you were here," Tara said.

"It's ok Tara I'm starting to think I made the mistake of showing up like I did," Willow said.

"Don't say that I'm glad you did," Tara said.

"Are you sure, I mean you were at a game for crying out loud,"Willow said.

"Yeah it's all part of what I do now," Tara said, taking off her jacket.

"Wait a minute... when did you become a cheerleader?" Willow asked, seeing her uniform.

" A week after I was here, my friend Amber talked me into," Tara said.


Willow sat there for a few minutes just starring at Tara in here uniform. Not understanding why she would do this. She was about to ask her when there was a knock at the door, Tara walks over to answer it

"Hey Tara, are you coming with us?" the girl asked.

"Uh no Sammy I can't," Tara said.

"Oh come on tare, you always go with us," Sammy said.

"I know but I can't this time around," Tara said.

"Hey what's takening you two so long? Another girl asked, walking up to them.

"Oh Tara isn't coming with us tonight Amber," Sammy said.

"What! Why not Tare, it's our night we won the game," Amber said.

"Maybe some other sweetie," Tara said.

"No come on please it will be fun," Amber said.

"I think I'm just going to go, I seem to be in your way," Willow said, as she walked out the door.

"What no wait,"Tara said, as she went pass.

"And who might you be?" Amber asked, when she saw Willow.

"It doesn't seem to matter, I'll just call you when I get back home Tara," Willow said, walking up the hall.

"What no hang on Wil, I'll be right back" Tara said, running up to Willow.

"No Tara I'm just going to go, and let you have your fun," Willow said.

"Please sweetie just stop," Tara said.

"Fine, I come here to spend a romantic weekend with you and your not here, and your lying to me saying your at the libarary when your clearly at the game and now your little friends are at your door begging for you to go," Willow said.

"Look I'm sorry, and yes it's game night, home coming at that and we won the big game," Tara said, smiling at the crowd cheering in the hall way.

"I see that and I guess I should of called before I came," Willow said.

"TARA! Are you coming or not?" Amber asked.

"Please stay?" asked Tara.

"Fine I'll stay, and I'll go out with you and your friends," Willow said.

"We don't have to," Tara said.

"No its alright, they want you to go so we'll go," Willow said.

"I love you so much Willow," Tara said, leaning in to kiss her.

"Yo Tara you shouldn't be kissing some girl when you have a girlfriend back home," Amber yelled.

"Yeah Tara stop kissing her so I can hook up with her," sammy said.

"So they know about me?" Willow asked, pulling back.

"Yeah they know, come I'll introduce you" Tara said, as they walked back.

"Now Tara you going to let me have that hot redhead?" asked Sammy.

"Uh no Sammy I think not," Tara said.

"Come on Tara you have a girl at, remember the girl who gave you that ring,"Sammy said.

"Guys I like you all to meet Willow," Tara said.

"Wow Tara you have a hot one," sammy said.

"I know I do," Tara said, wrapping her arms around willows waist.

"Well are you two joining us?" amber asked, looking at Willow.

"No Amber we have some catching up to do," Tara said, smiling at her.

"Ok, talk to you later," Amber said.


Later that night after there 5 hours of making love, Tara looks over and sees Willow already asleep. Tara gets up grabs her robe and goes to her desk and grabs her phone walking out into the hallway to make a phone call.

"Hello,"

"Hey it's me," Tara said.

"Hey sweetie, I wish you would of came with us," the person on the other end said.

"I know," Tara said.

"I missed you," they said.

"Aww that's sweet of you," Tara said.

"When does she leave?" the person asked.

"My guess is sunday," Tara said.

"Ok, I'll see you then babe," they said.

"Ok sweetie I'll talk to you then," Tara said.

YAY UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont think that Tara is cheating on Willowbut she does need to tell her everything thats been going on and stop lying to her.

wow, tara wants willow to leave, what if willow heard that and she wants to leave when she discovers all of this and who is the person who stole the love of her life, willow has proved to to tara that she is in love with her but tara seems to not care about that anymore, maybe she will regret it to make willow leaves when she discover sthat the love willow has for her is unique. and nobody can gives her that kind of love, so passion,so good, so pure.
what if willow when she discovers this from tara, she said to tara to not bother to come back in 5 months becasue she knows about the cheating maybe then tara can realize her big mistake. that in one month she throw to a trash can a great story of love, or the love of her life.

and I think willow is going to take the ring back, if tara is cheating, she doesnt deserve the love that willow is giving her, at least no the kind of love willow feels for tara.

As Tara hung up her phone and headed back into her room, she quitely places the phone back in to the desk. And crawls back into the bed next to Willow who turns over.

"Hey where did you go?" asked Willow, half asleep.

" I had to use the bathroom," Tara said, knowing full well she was lying.

As Willow drifted back off to sleep.Tara leans over and pulls out a note she had in her pants pocket from earlier opening she reads it.

Dear Tara,

She smiles and folds the letter up, then leans down and grabs her little safe then opens her nightstand and takes the key out. She unlocks the safe and places the letter inside with the other letters. Then placing it back under her bed and the key under the mattress. Then she lays back down and goes back to sleep cuddling up to Willow.

Early the next morning Willow woke up to bright lights coming through the windows. She looked around a little confused to where she was until her eyes landed on Taras sleeping form, smiling she leans down and kisses Tara, who quickly responeds to the kiss.

"Mmm now that's a way to wake," Tara said.

"Morning," Willow said.

"Morning sweetie, how did you sleep?" Tara asked.

"I sleep great, seems someone wore me out," Willow said, winking at her.

"Well what can say I've missed you," Tara said.

"Yeah that's why I came I need to see you," Willow said

"Oh," Tara said.

"Yeah our year annivarsary is today,"Willow said.

"Oh wow it is, so what would you like to do?"Tara asked.

"Have a romantic dinner," Willow said.

"Sounds good to me, so are you hungry?" Tara asked.

"Yes I'm starving," Willow said.

"Great lets head down to the diner," Tara said.

"Ok, are your friend going to be there?" Willow asked, putting her clothes on.

"I dunno they might be," Tara said, getting dressed as well.

45 minutes later they head out. As they were walking donw the side walk Jimmy comes running across the street calling out Tara's name.

"TARA Yo TARA wait up," Jimmy yells, running across the street.

"Who's that?" Willow asked.

"Oh fuck just keep walking," Tara said.

"TARA wait up.. Hey why didn't you stop.. Hello and who might you be?" jimmy asked, checking Willow out.

"What do you want Jimmy?" Tara asked.

"I was coming over here to ask you out, but now I see your little friend here,"jimmy said.

"The answer is no as always, and leave her alone," Tara said.

"Now now Tara can't she speak for her self, hi my name is Jimmy and I'm captain of the football team," jimmy said.

"Hi nice to meet you, I'm Willow," she said.

"Wow Willow that's a pretty name," jimmy said.

"Thanks jimmy," Willow said.

"How would you like to get a cup of coffee with me?" jimmy asked.

"Um no thanks," Willow said."

"Um didn't I mention I'm the captain of the football team?" jimmy asked.

"Yeah you did, and who cares," Willow said.

"Bye Jimmy," Tara said.

"Fuck Tara what will it take for you to go out with me, I mean look at you your fucking hot," jimmy said.

"Well it will take this," Tara said, grabbing Willow and kissing her passionately.

"Uh yeah wow ok your a lesbain," jimmy said.

"Yes I am jimmy," Tara said, after pulling back.

Once they entered the diner they went over to a corner booth and took a seat, just as the waitress started there way to take there order.

"Hi my name is Lisa, what can a get for you two?" she ask.

"Burger and fries and two cokes," says Tara.

"Coming right up," says Lisa.

"So what's it like here?" aske Willow.

"Well it's different then sunnydale," Tara said.

"Yeah that it is," Willow said.

"Once where done eating I'll show you around," Tara said.

"Sounds like a plan," says Willow.

"Great, I'll show you all my classes and the places I hang out," Tara said, looking up as a group of girls came through the door. among that group was the girl she been seeing.

"Oh my god its Tara, HEY TARA!" one girl yelled.

"Hey guys," Tara said.

"So this is Willow?" one girl asked.

"Yes Tracy this is Willow," said Tara.

"Cool, so do you mind if we join you?" Tracy asked.

All the girls started grabbing seats to gather around the table. The girl Tara was seeing sat on the other side of her. They smiled at eachother as she sat down.

"Ok ladies let me introduce you Willow that's Kerry and Tina on the end and to the left Adrian next to her Katie and next to her is sarah, now on the other side is Paris, Ashely, Britney, Nichole, Corrie, and Alex, and last but not least beside me you should rememeber her from last night my good friend Amber," Tara said, smiling at Amber.

"Oh um Tara I have that lipstick you order out in my car," Amber said.

"Really, lets go get it," says Tara.

"Ok come on," Amber said.

"Willow, sweetie I'll be right back, will you be ok here?" ask Tara.

"Oh yeah I'll be fine," Willow said.

As the got up and headed for the door, once outside Tara looks around for Amber's car.

"Hey where is your car?" ask Tara.

"It's around back come on," Amber said.

As they went around the corner Amber grabs for Tara's hand and they walk hand in hand to her car.

"Amber I didn't know," said Tara.

"What, you didn't know what sweetie?" Amber asked.

"That Willow was coming up here," says Tara.

"Tara babe its ok really, this is just a six month thing right?" Amber asked.

"Well in the beginning it was," Tara said, looking at her smiling.

"Whoa hang on Tara, what are you saying?" Amber asked.

"I'm really starting to like ypu Amber," Tara said.

"Aww Tara babe come here, I like you too," Amber said, as she leans Tara into her car and starts kissing her.

Good update-y goodness... I really really hope Tara very very soon realises that eternity with Willow is much better than cheating with Amber... I hope Willow blames her mother for not being able to go to Duke with Tara so Tara woudn't have cheated her with Amber... wow that was... i dont know what to say... great story but how could tara. willow has been though so much. and to top it off sleeps with willow and kiss's this girl the next day. not to many storys like this. more real life then a fairy tale love. i like it. but they still have to get the fairy tale ending. Me not being a writer mind you and going though things like this befor ill base on what i wish i would of done. I think willow will figer it out go home find some one and when tara go's to sunnydale she will find out willow has found some one and lets see how it feels. willow shouldnt wait that hurts let me tell ya. but as i said in the end true love should all ways win. b/c in life it dont happen too often. so it should here.

what if willow got the vibe of ehat is happening, maybe one of ther girls starts to like willow to and maybe just give an advice to her, not telling the true just telling her if what if something else could happen with tara becasue I cant belive that tara fall out of love in one month when she fought for willow´s love during 8 months and she is going to break willow´s heart knowing what this could make in willow´s life, but if tara doesnt love willow like before is better that willow finsd out already this tara thing with amber.
I know that when willow leaves tara, tara can feel the empty space that is only possible be full with willow and maybe amber wont be so intresting because that is no future without willow in her life, tara will discover that willow has a gold heart and a kind of love so inconditional that no matter what happens in tara´s life, willow will be her soul mate.

willow has the right to move on, again.
what if wilow heard the conversation, what if willow read the letter before tara, what if willow sees tara with amber kissing and what if willo tried to give tara some chances to behave during their metting after one month, and what if willow has to break up with tara seeing that tara has doubts about their relationship.

maybe willo gives her ring to tara for amber hehehe maybe amber needs it more now than willow hehe.

This sound more a real life, it is a good story line and so incredible, it is not just about full love if not a rela life. but something has to happen to make tara realizes that willow is her heart and that willow doesnt deserve that, but of course, tara has to do the right for her too.

what if tara got incredible impresions from amber but maybe amber is not even close to what willo is like, and what if tara has to realizes that in flesh, what is tara has to realizes that she did a big mistake leaving willow for a fantasy, a cruel fantasy where is not willow to help her, to love her, to care of her, what if amber is the kind of person who likes the imposiblles things, the forbiden things and when tara is free of willow, amber doesnt care for tara anymore, maybe just not like when tara was with willow.

what if willow after this come back to what wilow was after her ex died but this time is worse because her last girlfriend was murder, death, but tara is alive and leave her for another woman, so maybe willow can think that she, willow, wasnt enough for anybody.

So I just read this fic from the beginning and i have to say its great. I totally have been in Willow's shoes before. I really hope that she catches them and dumps Tara. That way she can realize what shes missing. I really dont have any compassion for cheaters I really think you should talk about things with the person your with if your feelings change.
