Chapter 6: New crush?[/center]
Willow walked down the street. She kept looking at the text that Buffy sent her, instructing her on how to get to the cafe. Buffy had offered to come get her, but Willow wanted to walk and think.
How can I just be friends with her? She makes me feel so comfortable. She makes me feel like I can be myself around her. But how can I? I'm a nerd and she is the most hottest girl I have ever seen? All these girls like her. I saw the one many of them looked at her around school today. She could have her pick of anyone. So why would she chose a nerd like me. Being friends just works. Maybe we can be best friends and I will just have to get over it when she is will another girl. Maybe I will meet a girl. Ugh I already met the only girl I wanna be with. But I can't have her so...
"Will."
Willow jumped at her name. She turned around.
"Where are you going?" Jeremy laughed.
Willow looked up and saw the cafe sign and realized she was walking past it. "I dunno," she laughed. "I was lost in my thoughts."
"I could tell," Jeremy laughed. He held the door open for Willow.
"Hey Will," Buffy smiled.
"Hey," Willow sat down across from her.
"You almost went right by us," Sophie giggled.
"I noticed," Willow said.
"So how was the first day?" Jeremy asked taking a seat next to Willow.
"Um pretty good," Willow said.
"You found your way home alright?" Buffy asked.
"Yeah Tara walked me.
"Tara," Sophie said.
"Yeah," Willow looked at her. "Tara, my new friend."
"Will..." Buffy said.
"Don't start," Jeremy said.
"What's going on?" Sophie asked.
"Buffy I can be friends who I want to be friends with," Willow said. "You guys are my friends and so is Tara."
"Your friends with Tara?" Sophie asked.
"So am I," Jeremy said.
"But I told you..."
"Buffy," Willow said.
Buffy crossed her arms and sat back in her seat.
"So what does everyone want?" Jeremy asked.
An hour later everyone was leaving the cafe.
"So can we go to the park now?" Sophie asked.
"Yeah Will you wanna go with?" Jeremy asked.
"Sure."
"Aw I forgot the bread for the ducks," Buffy pouted.
"Aw there are ducks there?" Willow asked.
"Yup," Sophie said. "Ducks and a big lake and turtles and there is a play ground with swings."
"Oh my gosh I love swinging," Willow smiled.
"Me too," Sophie smiled back.
"So Willow you gonna come to GSA?" Jeremy asked.
"Sure when is it?"
"After school tomorrow."
"It's really fun," Sophie said.
They walked down a trail through some woods and when they came out, they stood in front of a big lake.
"Oh my.." Willow said. "It's so beautiful."
"Hey Will," Sophie looked at her.
"Yeah?"
"Race you to the swings," and Sophie took off.
"Hey," Willow chased after her.
"You know what," Buffy said.
"What?" Jeremy asked as they watched the two run.
"I think they would be cute together."
"What?" Jeremy looked at Buffy. "What happened to not setting them up."
"I changed my mind," Buffy said.
"Only cause you don't want Willow to be with Tara," Jeremy said.
"No."
"Yes. Buffy that's not fair. Tara seems to like Willow. Just cause things didn't work out with her and Sophie and she hurt Sophie, doesn't mean she is a bad person and it doesn't mean that she doesn't deserve to be happy."
"She doesn't care about anyone," Buffy looked at Jeremy. "She just fucks girls, fucks with girls, and skates. I don't want another friend hurt by her. Sophie isn't the only one. And Willow won't be next," Buffy started to walk away.
"This isn't gonna be good," Jeremy said.
"I win," Sophie said as she jumped onto a swing.
"Only cause you cheated," Willow jumped onto the swing next to hers.
"Don't be a sore loser," Sophie stuck her tongue out at Willow.
"Sore loser?" Willow reached over and started to tickle Sophie. Sophie squealed. "I'm not a sore loser, your a cheater."
Sophie squirmed until she fell off the swing. Willow laughed.
"Oh yeah," Sophie grabbed Willow's arm and pulled her down with her and started to tickle her.
"Maybe I won't have to hook them up," Buffy whispered in Jeremy's ear. "It seems they already like each other." she smiled at her friend.
Jeremy stared at the two girls, than something caught his eye and he looked up the hill near the playground. At the top stood Tara, Anya, and Xander. Tara looked at the two girls, reached down, grabbed her board, and walked off.
