The Woo has spoken!!!

Postby wiccachica » Fri Jan 03, 2003 1:51 pm

Thank you all for your votes…and your soooo sweet words!

Looks like the Big Woo has calculated the votes…and the Pacific Tides network is first…followed ever so closely by the Futopia Channel…and cinched up by the SO-REAL Network.

Stay tuned for a little jaunt into the Crystal-blue Oceans of Hawaii!

Yes! Tans and feuding resorts! I can see it already...

Ooooh, and as far as TV genres go, there's always the talk show and the soap opera! *sinks to new low* Oh, brother... anyway, looking forward to the update!

Damn. I've gone and missed the vote... again. Oh well. Can't let it get me down.

I'm not sure if anyone's said it already, but Dr. Rothberg kinda reminds me of a bitchier, scarier, more take-charge version of Dr. Weaver from ER. The thing is, I can't stand Dr. Weaver, but I'm loving Dr. Rothberg. Funny how that works out.

Can't wait for the beaches of Pacific Tides and tans and the potential for a scantily clad Tara.

Oh... missed the vote, good thing I agree with the result :) No recounting nessecary, heh.

As for the latest update; it says it's part FOUR but I can't find part THREE anywhere. Based on how this update begins I'll guess it's actually part 3.

Willa isn't a very likably charachter is she ? Most of that fiasco was her fault after all, whatever was she doing there ? The way she abused that to get her will done just irks me. Granted the orderly should have used far less force then he did, but it's not like it's ALL his fault. Willa strikes me as either haughty or cold somehow, whatever happened to cause that ?

I thought Willa was a emergency/first-aid/trauma docter. Such docters don't have long-term patients do they ? Whatever Willa might think of Tara, she does need to be watched closely as she obviously has psych. issues. Just hosing her down with medication wont solve those of course. Wellll.... they could make her sleep till she's past her 20th birthday :)

Hmm... Tara is a stray and as such has no ensurance, wonder if that will cause problems. Though Willa should have enough money to handle that, heh. Maybe the MaClay familly will come by the hospital for a visit...

Willa's such a Kerry. :) I loved the chess imagery. Y'know, you ARE must-see-tv, I guess. See, I've locked myself up for the entire day to study for my disgustingly massive history test - I hadn't even been on the phone with anybody, turned on the TV once or left my "study room" for more than the occasional bathroom or caffein brake, yet I seem to find the time to read up your updates. You see, I just MUST. :grin You're addictive, ya evil spawn! Either that or my priorities are really messed up. *ponders all the friends she's about to loose to neglect, over studying and plain geekiness before the semester's halfway through...* Nah, it couldn't be that. I'm balanced. I'm a balanced human being. I am!

*realizes she hadn't studied in 30 minutes*

Who Knew the Woo??

Postby wiccachica » Thu Jan 09, 2003 1:51 pm

**Begin Transmission**

A Computer glitch caused the Big Woo to calculate that the So-Real Network was on the roster first. It is NOT a mistake…it is considered a misguided certainty. One thing that I have learned is this: Do not question the Big Woo. It is certain that the Pacific Tides Episode will soon follow…The Big Woo sees all…knows all…does all…and likes cupcakes with the rainbow-jimmy sprinkles on them.

***End Transmission**

Channel 3: The SO-REAL Network

Episode One: Part Five

“Oak Ave, CA”

K.C.'s Room...via Satellite

K.C. is sitting on the floor of his dorm room with his hands on either side of the television as if trying to hold it steady. His nose is just inches from the screen. The tendons on the sides of his neck stand out.

This is a guy who looks mildly stressed out.

“ Dude…is it wrong to say that I’m genuinely looking forward to finding out what’s going to happen next?” Kyle says from his perched position on the edge of the bed.

K.C. stares intently at the screen…chanting his newfound mantra…

“ This can’t be happening…this can’t be happening…this can’t be happening….”

The White Room

Willow is sitting in the chair, tapping her foot.

Willow: “ I have to admit. I was REALLY interested in finding out what was going to happen next. I mean…there we were…just me and her…in the hallway…and there was this sound again…this creaky…sound and she pulled me close… so close I’m sure she could hear my heart going all crazy. Sure I was scared…but I don’t think that it was the reason my heart was…doing a Friday Night Calypso Club on Speed in my chest. I mean…Have you seen her? She’s pretty much…HOT on a molecular level…(thinks about it) Did I say pretty much? Much… I definitely meant much-much. (points at the camera) Why don’t you replay that part…(then) Ohh! Can I watch too?”

Magical Replay Camera #1 (Hallway to the Rumpus Room)

Willow and Tara are walking stealthily around the corner and into the dimly lit hallway. The candle in Tara’s hand flickers, casting strange glisters of the two girls to dance on the walls around them. At the far end of the hall the wide double doors stand open and we can see part of a pool table and a few chairs inside. They ease slowly towards the Rumpus Room…Tara in the lead…followed by Willow…who is walking so closely behind her that she could second as a warm, red-haired, Willow coat. Tara reaches behind her with her uncandled hand and takes Willow’s hand. Giving it a squeeze for reassurance.

A blustery creak grates against the floorboards of the old house…and the whole place shudders like a troubled giant.

In a panicked move that could win prizes in the swing dance circuit, Tara pulls Willow from behind her, twists her arm up and over so she pulls Willow’s back tightly against her with her forearm snugly around her middle.

It is obvious that Willow’s mind is warring between fear of a potential creepy crawly…board creaking monster…and a special guest spot in the new hit show Hands-On-Happy-Hour with Tara Mc Grueger.

The sound subsides

The girls don’t appear to…

The White Room

Tara doesn’t sit in the chair. She puts a hand on the back of it. Someone must have just asked her a question because she stops to think.

Tara: “ What was I thinking at that moment? At THAT exact moment? Gosh… I’m pretty sure the exact order was Damn the scary noise…Damn the creaky house…and just KISS HER for God’s sake…Pardon my French. I mean…we were standing there for what seemed like FOREVER…I could actually feel her heart beating against my arm…it was really fast…like a buh-buh-buh-buhbuhbuhbuhbuhbuh….like a rabbit’s. I had a feeling my heart was doing the same thing…so when I finally let her go and she turned to me…she gave me this look like…’well?’…and I…you know…”

Back to The Hallway

Tara takes her arm from around Willow’s waist slowly. Willow turns to look at her with an obvious expression. One brow lifted slightly…a tinge of expectancy in the air. They are nearly nose to nose. Both of them are breathing a little faster than they were a moment before.

Well???

The tension in the hallway could have vexed even the fiercest ghost at that moment.

K.C.'s Room...via Satellite

K.C. knocks his head against the glass of the T.V. Kyle is trying to move his friend’s head so he could see.

“ Don’t…do…it….don’t….do….it…..” K.C. Had one-upped his mantra to command status.

Oh, yeah…Back to the Hallway…

Tara clears her throat and steps back…out of range...

Willow’s expectant expression drops. She lets out a silent sigh as Tara drops down and sets the candle on the floor. She stands up…smoothes her robe…She tidies up her hair…

And then she wholeheartedly throws herself into an unfettered … and wholly unabashed, mind numbing …kiss.

Commercial!!!

Hey, the mix-up is irrelevant-- the voting was like asking "what do you want first, candy or sex?" (two glorious goods!). Anyway, loved the anticipation that was built by having after the fact reactions inserted before the kiss itself... and may I add a big "yipee" for the kissage? Of course I may, that was rhetorical. And now…on with the show….

Channel 5: Pacific Tides

La’akalani Beach

Episode One: Part 3

Here was Rosey…

Here was Rosey…Getting herself not only ‘mixed up in it’ as her father had so indelicately put it yesterday, but ‘deeply entrenched in it’…as was known to be her nature.

She held her thongs in one hand and walked down the slope of the beach barefoot.

Apologizing came first. She would tell the La’akalani family and their blonde friend how terribly sorry she was that her father was a life-leeching fiend. A Real estate Succubus…the highest order of evil…

Why did she feel the same urge to apologize to them for who SHE was?

Like Beezley…Rosey was a victim of circumstance…and she was determined not to be ANYTHING like Her father.

She walked boldly up to the small two-story house that sat just beyond the hide tide line. A regal house…that seemed steeped in history, and cured by the salt air.

She stepped onto the porch without hesitation.

It was Keoki who opened the front door when she knocked. He was chewing on an apple. The strains of the television sifted through the doorway.

He looked Rosey over once and squinted down into her face warily.

“ What den?” He asked, chewing. Rosey cleared her throat. She had rehearsed the best sounding apology-slash-begging session ever spoken by man or womankind. Under the taller boy’s scrutinous gaze…it seemed to fail her.

“ I…wanted to come and …uhm…apologize for the behavior of…well…the guys earlier…and…my…my running off…rude…I was rude…”

Apologize for your father, damn it!

Not yet. She knew there were more family members she would have to apologize to…and saying it over and over again would just KILL her. She would wait .

Keoki gave her a second look over as though seeing her in a whole new light.

“Okay...now sorries over...” He said. “ You done?”

Nope. He was looking at her in the same old light.

“ The girl…the blonde one…she isn’t around?” Rosey asked gingerly.

“ Kali. The girl comes with a name…It’s Kali… and she’s my SISTER.” Keoki said.

She didn’t give him the satisfaction of showing her surprise.

“ I’d like to speak to your sister then….please.” Rosey added…patiently.

“ Then you would have to drive to Kahala. My brothers drive her to Dr. Yamata two days a week.”

“ Dr. Yamata?”

“ That business is between Kali and her doctor. I don’t put my foot in it.” He said…as well as warned.

“ Of course. I’m sorry.” She said…embarrassed to have assumed he would tell her.

“ That the official Rosewood apology for Kali’s condition? A surprise that would be…for certain.” He said…taking another bite of his apple. He had a way of leading up to something without making it obvious that he was.

“ For Kali? What…? I don’t understand…” His chewing slowed as he gazed down at her.

“ No. You don’t… I see that. Born of the Devil…heart of a saint…yes?.”

“ You’re loosing me.” Rosey said shaking her head. He seemed to slip from straightforward English to Leeward Pidgin in the middle of each sentence. It was confusing to say the least.

“ Breadcrumbs then… My sister belongs out THERE…on the water. If you have ever seen her …you would see that it is where she truly LIVES. Your father saw fit to kill that part of Kali…the one that belongs out THERE.” He pointed out the door to the ocean firmly, but kept his eyes on hers.

“ My father?”

“ Do you believe that eyes do not lie?” He didn’t wait for her answer. “ I do. Ask your father about last summer. Look into his eyes and ask him what kefe he hired to drive us out last year. What kind of heavy hand he resorted to for a little piece of land…what kind of monster would burn our stables…and set the horses out into the water... What kind of creature didn’t give a damn about my sister’s life.”

“ Someone tried to kill her???” Rosey asked in horror.

“ That man…he saw her. He knew she was in there trying to save the horses…and he drove them towards her anyway..” Keoki said between his teeth.

“ Oh God.” Rosey whispered. Her vivid imagination was already setting what he was saying to picture in her head.

“ Horses panic…girl’s that try to save them get hurt…trampled into the ocean, sometimes hurt so bad they have to go to hospitals for a long time…see doctors that can’t possibly be afforded…even a year later…” His grim expression softened to something far away…sad. “He almost killed her life on the land…but murdered her life on the water.” He shook off the expression and took another bite of his apple to emphasize his point. “ But it isn’t my business. What’s done is done.”

“ No. It’s not done. It’s wrong. Illegal…the police could…” Keoki waved away her words.

“ I believe what goes around comes around. That guy ever sees fit to go around my family again…my foot will be coming around his ass.” He seemed to examine her again, as though weighing her worthiness to continue the conversation. Then in a relaxed motion, he reached behind the door and came up with a second apple.

“ Apple?” He offers.

“ Thank you.” Rosey took the proffered fruit.

Keoki opened the door wider.

“ You like stick around…watch the Magnum PI marathon till she come home?”

“ I’d like that.” Rosey said.

“ Warning though. She’ll be hurting…and grouchy. She throws stuff alla time at us boys when she gets home.” He sat down on the couch…leaving plenty of room for her.

The inside of the house was large…comfortable…full of life…and tasteful.

There was something else though…something that Rosey couldn’t quite place.

“ That’s because you boys probably deserve it.” She bit into the apple with a smile and walked over to sit down.

Keoki looks up at the ceiling.

“ Oh…I know Kali is going like dis one, Ladat.” He said and turned up the television so they could watch the show.

I had to laugh at Willow's talk in the White Room. Tara being smart by putting the candle in a safe place first, good girl. I was afraid one the male idiots would interfere but thank God they didn't.

On to Pacific; can't say I'm all that surprised Rosey's dad hired help to get the Kali familly out. That was to be expected. The consequences however are worse then I anticipated; Kali injured severly and several of the horsies drowned. Kali probably like the horses so it's a double whammy for her, amazing that she didn't kick Rosey of her land the instant she said her surname.

I wonder what Rosey's dad will do next, obviously the hired help didn't work. Rosey could just go and ask him what he did last year, he'll likely admit and say it's just business.... taperecorders are wonderfull things for such conversations, heh.

We'll have to wait and see I guess... but I'm fairly sure Rosey will have another not so friendly discussion with her dad. Either with or without tape-recorder :)

Channel Seven: The Futopia Channel

"Fear the Light"

Episode 1 Part 5

"It's not like you to do 'round up', Gunn." The vampire said with a small smile...as if only she were privy to some mordant comedy club inside her head.

The only change in Winna was the tightening of her fingers in Taryn's.

Everything will be fine...just play it cool...literally...cool... The motion told her.

" I thought I'd show her around. You know...see if she likes the ambience..." Winna offered.

" Thinking of joining my little club?" The woman asked the blond. She reached out...put her cool fingers under Taryn's chin, and brought the woman's head up so that she could see her features.

Strangely...all this hand sniffing and teeth checking made Taryn feel like she was vying for a blue ribbon at the State Fair. The thought was slightly distressing...as well as more than just a little insulting.

But she could not draw her face away from those cool fingers.

" You have eyes like a heavy storm over the sea." The vampire said gently.

Taryn felt herself melting into this woman's dark gaze...her wry smile...her...eyes...

Her deep...cavernous...eyes...

But something...intuition maybe... told her that something wasn't right about falling too far into those eyes...

Something made her hold her own...pull her chin back slowly from between the pale fingers...and smile politely.

" Thank you...they run in the family. " She said.

The woman laughed then...She dropped her hand and slapped her thigh in a very un-suave un-vampiresque way.

" Good God, Gunn...where did you get this one...she's priceless!" The woman asked between laughter. " This one is definitely not cattle...'thank you...the run in my family...' I LOVED that! God!"

Winna gave Taryn's hand another reassuring squeeze.

All is well. It said.

" Taryn...may I introduce you to the beautifully inappropriate owner of this elegant night club... Mix."

Mix shook Taryn's hand.

" The pleasure is mine. It's not often that Winna brings someone that has both looks...and brains..."

" Ouch...over HERE... with the ouch." Ryder said from just off to the left.

" Oh...that doesn't even fit into your category....Ryder...you are radiantly gorgeous and unmatched in wit, skill...and deadly armory." Mix said diplomatically.

" Damn straight I am." Ryder said, patting her shoulder holster under her jacket.

Mix turned then and smiled magnanimously at Taryn.

"Anyway...If you get bored with the twenty five cent tour..." She purred.

Taryn felt herself blush, despite her best efforts not to.

" Oh...I think it'll be all she has time for..." Winna said with a broad smile that showed almost all of her straight white teeth and only a scoach of humor. Taryn watched this delicate dance of barely hidden aggression and diplomacy.

Mix was still smiling. Her gaze was still on Taryn...but she was talking to Winna.

" You aren't thinking about taking her to some other establishment, Gunn...are you?"

" I hadn't thought about it." Winna tried to make it sound purposefully offhanded. It was this that made the vampire look a little nervous. Her smile steeled slightly.

" You know we need the fresh....talent, Gunn..." Mix said...catching herself before she slipped and said...

Said what???

Fresh blood? Was she going to say fresh blood?

" Well...I didn’t bring this one in to join your upper echelon, Mix. She’s with me. “ Winna informed her.

“ A Highblood as a date, Gunn. That’s a little out of your league…if you don’t mind me saying so…” Mix said sweetly. Winna kept her expression indiscernible.

“ You know me…full of surprises... And I do mind you saying so. ” She said evenly.

There was a moment of silence between the vampire and the red head. Taryn swallowed audibly in the deafening quiet of the hallway.

Moments ticked by…neither woman moved. It was a stand off.

Taryn caught the Chameleon ease at which Ryder slipped her hand inside her jacket. Slow…but full of meaning and ready for anything to happen.

Mix caught the movement as well. She broke into an easy grin all of a sudden.

“ Oh put your gun away, Ryder. I’m just playing with you.” She said lightly…Then to Winna… “ Bring your new playmate… Come inside…have some drinks …on the house of course…and if anyone gives you a hard time…you just let me know.”

“ I will…” Winna said with a nod…putting her arm around Taryn’s waist.

“ Oh…and please refrain from creating a scene…like the last time…” Mix said amiably…with a knowing glance at Ryder.

“ I still concede that jackass imploded himself.” Ryder said with a sniff.

“ I figured you would.” Mix said…moving off down the hall towards the double doors.

“ Let’s go.” Winna said to Taryn, keeping her arm around her waist.

“ Was she going to say fresh blood?” Taryn whispered nervously. Come on…she felt like she was being led to the slaughter down a long hall. The thin heartbeat of music thrummed behind those doors.

“ No.” Winna assured her.

“ What in the hell is High Blood then?” Taryn hissed in her ear.

“ I’ll explain later. Just take my lead… Relax…and have fun.” She said under her breath.

“ Taryn…welcome to Ladies Night…” Mix said…throwing open the doors like the proudest…unloving…mad scientist ever to walk the face of the Earth.

Ooooh, happiness... the big standoff, more mysteries, and Tara-eyes... perfect! I'm going to cast my vote for more surfin' action, though the ER drama would be aclose second... in fact, anything will be good... I give up! -Nora

Heh, poor Taryn has really no idea what the talk is all about yet she DOES know they're talking ABOUT her :)

I wonder if Ryder meets many self-imploding beings, heh.

Just one vote you want ? In order of preference here we go:

- Pacific Tides

- SO Real (pool anyone?)

- Nine West (not really into that one yet)

I prostrate myself before the greatness that is woo, and humbly submit before the woo-ley-ness the following votes, to be counted anywhere other than florida:

--SO-REAL network

--the big rainbow house

--nine west

...anyone else want to jump on the kiddie show bandwagon? I really want to see what red-yarn-haired willow and her little british mouse are up to :p

1. Nine West

2. The Living Woman Network

3. Pacific Tides

If I had to live my life again, I'd make the same mistakes, only sooner.
