"Ok, but why is Dawn coming back?" ask Buffy.
"No your cousin Tara is coimg to live with us," Joyce says, as she reached inside the freezer.
"REALLY! Mom that's great," squeals Buffy.
Friday morning was up and dressed by 6:30 and out the door. Joyce on the other hand was running late. She runs out to her jeep cranks it up and pulls out of the driveway and heads to the airport to pick Tara up, she pulls into a parking space and parks runs inside just in time to see Tara walking through the doors. She walks up to Tara and they hug.
After grabbing her bags they head back to the house to unpack Tara's stuff. Joyce heads down stairs to fix them some lunch. 30 minutes later Tara heads down to eat lunch with Joyce.
"I-Is it ok if I lay down?" ask Tara, after she placed her plate in the sink.
"Yes of course, and Tara you don't have to ask anymore," Joyce said.
"Ok thanks, I-Im going to take a nap," Tara said.
"Hey Tara who's the pretty girl I saw in the pic by your bed?" Joyce asked.
"UM that's my um," Tara started.
"Tara its ok I know you like girls, she's your girlfriend right?" asked Joyce, smiling.
"Yes, yes she is.. Actually she's my ex," Tara said.
"Ok enjoy your nap, I'll be down here if you need anything," Joyce said.
"Ok thank you," Tara says.
Chapter two
Later that night Joyce started making supper for the whole gang, its fridat night and they eat over and watch movies, And Willow stays the night. As she was pulling the roast out Buffy and Willow came in laughing at Xander who is just standing there covered in mud.
"Oh my god, what happen?" ask Joyce.
"He tripped and fell in a mud puddle," Buffy said, trying to stop laughing.
"Ok go wash up for dinner, Xander use my shower to clean up," says joyce.
45 minutes later the three of them comes down to eat dinner.
"Hey mom, where's Tara is she here?" Buffy asked.
"Yeah she's upstairs asleep," Joyce says, reaching for her drink.
"I'll go an get her up," Buffy said, standing up.
"No Buffy leave her, she's had a rough morning," says Joyce.
"Ok, I take it she's been having nightmares?" asked Buffy.
"Yeah sweetie something like that," Joyce said.
After they ate dinner they headed into to living room to watch T.V. Buffy looks up when she heard foot steps, she watches Tara head into the kitchen.
"Ok gang, lets head out for a quick patrol," says Buffy.
They head out on patrol and stake a few vamps here and there as they were walking Xander home. Then heading back to Buffy's house, as they entered the house the phone rang.
"I got it, hello," says Buffy.
"Is Tara there?"
"Hang on, MOM! Where's Tara?" ask Buffy.
"In the shower dear," joyce yelled.
"She's in the shower, can I take a message?" ask buffy .
"Yeah tell her Lynn called," she says.
"Ok will do lynn bye... c'mon Willow lets go play a game of checker," Buffy said, after hanging up the phone.
As they were playing checker on the bed, Buffy spots Tara walking into her room.
"Why haven't I met your cousin?" ask Willow.
"You will don't worry, hey Tara," Buffy yells.
"Y-Y-Yeah Buffy," Tara said, walking into the room.
"A girl named Lynn called you," Buffy said.
"Ok thanks," says Tara.
"Your welcome, oh Tara this is my bestfriend Willow, Willow this is my cousin Tara," Buffy said, introudcing them.
"Hi Tara it's nice to meet you," Willow said.
"Y-Y-You to W-Willow," Tara said, cursing her stutter.
They shook hands and they both felt the power pass between them. They just stood there looking at eachother for what seemed like forever. Until the phone rang.
"Tara it's for you," Joyce yells.
"Ok thanks," says Tara, turning to leave.
"If you want you can use that phone," said Buffy.
"Ok thanks...h-hello..hey sweetie how are you..aww I miss you to..what..no Lynn I can't say that.. Why not because we broke up remember... n-no I'm not coming back to L.A.... no I wasn't the reason we broke up you are you slept with my brother...no goodbye Lynn.
She hangs up the and turns and walks out of the room into her room shutting the door behind her. She lays down on the bed and her thoughts drift to Willow.
