AMBER AND ON VH1

Amber Benson will be a guest on VH1's THE LIST on Friday, December 15, and will help determine the Sexiest Male Artist. It'll be hosted by Jane Krakowski of ALLY McBEAL, and will also feature Gabrielle Union, a co-star of Eliza Duskhu and Clare Kramer from BRING IT ON. Premieres from 12:30-1:00 PM.

Thanks for the info, Xita. I like to watch the List when it has a good group on it. This is going to be great to see extended real life Amber on the tv - I dont think I've ever seen that before. Once again, we must send a thank you note to her publicist for all this recent exposure!

I know it's probably going to be painful for several board members to hear Amber go on about what men she finds sexy.

spring, if the "ally" actress were callista flockhart, i'd be afraid, but jane krakowski is one of my favorite actresses from that show. she used to be on broadway, and she's so talented! maybe she'll do a little musical number for us. not that i'll be able to see this special or anything.

xita, take consolation in the fact that amber might be talking about the men she finds sexy on the show, but so far she hasn't found any man sexy enough to sleep with him. i think she's saving herself for you.

she basically wore the same outfit i saw in pictures from the comicom? (i haven't a clue) it was the 3/4 look. 3/4 sleeved black shirt with 3/4 green-army color pants. those sandals did not match, in my opinnion. she needed tara's red combat boots. just kidding, or not. i wonder when this show was taped cause she looked like she did in early season five.

I KNEW she would pick jeff for her number one. And i dont find anything sexy about sting. i used to like the drummer stuart form *the police* though. i grew up seeing ricky martin from his days in menudo when they'd go to the same beach we did. i still see him as an 11 year old. Maxwell is a hottie though... got to give them that one.

and i loved ambers eyeshadow. it accentuates her doe eyes. *sigh*... and it was so cute when she said she wasn't going to be friends with them anymore for booting out thom. that was funny....

ps- i thought the comidian was funny. he kept egging her. not verbatim but... *you've been hanging out with monsters too much*, *look there's a demon* i was cracking up.

Amber was so adorable. She took the light-hearted jabs from the other panelist very graciously. So her picks of Thom Yorke and Jeff Buckley were a little off-beat. She made no apologies.

She also looked great. She wore a black, long sleeved V-neck shirt and green cargo/capri pants. The sandals threw me off a little though. They were a little too disco for the rest of the outfit. The zig zag part is back. So reminiscent of early Tara. Yay!

BTW- My pick would have to be Jakob Dylan of the Wallflowers. Those heavenly blue eyes...
Only being a woman could make him more perfect. Oh yeah!

ok, i will attempt to refrain from any disparaging remarks about one of our favorite actresses. I'll limit myself to saying that what turns ms. benson on is just unfathomable to moi...

For those who haven't seen, her picks were summed up by her own comment to the effect that it's not how they look that matters (or something like that). So for all you guys out there who didn't think you had a chance, well guess again!

Personally, i'm in the camp of sexy man = eyecandy. but i'm shallow like that , and queer, so it don't matter.
(and my vote was ricky martin for sure!).

And ms. benson's individualist nature shined thru on this show. Including the ending bit (credits rolling) wherein everyone else was standing together and jabbering to each other, while amber sat nearby on an endtable, only minimally involved.

Spuckie: I noticed that bit during the credits, too, with Amber on her own apart from the group. I don't know why I find it appealing to think of her as a 'Hollywood outsider,' but it really does seem that way when I read interviews and stuff. I like that aspect of her personality - an individualist who doesn't care to fit in or impress her peers.

Fyrwoman: I totally agree about Jakob Dylan. He's one of the hottest men out there right now. I'm smitten by both his eyes and his gorgeous arched eyebrows. I dont even like his music that much, but I think he's ALMOST as sexy as his dad was in Don't Look Back (a great documentary).

She's is very much her own person and of course I find that very appealing. Yeah, as soon as I saw her second choice, I knew Jeff was going to be her number one pic. Obviously, she didn't go with the eye candy meaning of sexy. Sexy is eye candy + for me. I mean I agree there are other things that are sexy but the person has to appeal to me physically. Anyway, the curious thing was that the comedian teased her about hanging out with "creatures of the night." Funny, considering the whole rocky horror thing. I also wondered when this was taped cause the hair was blonde, like comic con blonde. If Tara ends up blonde again, then I will reconsider this. With the info I have, I'll say this is a bit old.

i really liked that she spent most of the show sitting cross-legged on her chair like she was sitting on the floor. she came across as a lot more relaxed and real than jane or any of the others. she looked like she was having a lot of fun.

i also dug it that she picked guys that were sort of funky/alternative types (ie, real people) while all the other choices were totally predictable and unimaginative. sure ricky martin looks sexy- he's a product.

amber was way sexier than anyone else on the show or anyone they were nominating. what could possibly be sexier than being so totally beautiful and willing to have a real opinion?

but amber gets crazy points for putting jeff first. i used to put on grace in my sophomore dorm room (this amazing gable room with window seats in an old victorian style house) and the femmes on my floor would just wander in and look wistfully out the windows *smiles and laughs at thought*

jeff- intelligent+talented+good looking (i think he's eye candy)+tragic+AMAZING VOICE= unbelievably sexy

and the cross-legged thing goes over well too.

Don't cry Crimson Felus, they may have gotten this first, but they got this a year ago now, hee hee. I can't believe it, this thread is one year old (way back from before, when there was no posting limit and we could still double post and I would have reached level 10 so much faster ) and I had not posted in it yet, I must correct this *at once*.
